I was very reluctant to see Dr Ellison but family finally talked me into going to see her. The short answer is that my lower back pain and knee pain has been reduced greatly!!! She is a great person!! My history is that I have spent over 45 years in the trucking industry. I started on the dock loading and unloading trailers, then drove in the city delivering freight. At times I would load or unload 200 pound cartons from the ground. I also spent sometime on the road. None of this was good for my back. In the past I watched men hurt their backs and they would go to other chiropractors. The longer they so saw them the worse their pain became. I was very apprehensive to see Dr Ellison but other family members raved about her. Even my 93 year old mother saw her. She was very gentle with mom, now passed. My pain had gotten so bad that I would wake up in the morning, take a handful of Tylenol, and go back to bed until the pain was manageable. My ex-rays were bad, both back and knees. So the journey began. There is a sign in the office "Miracles Happen" or something like. After two and a half or three months my back pain has subsided greatly and I am starting to walk up stairs normally instead of one at a time. I am doing more and sometimes I have no pain at all. She uses an Activator to loosen up stuck body parts instead of cracking my back. Well writing is not my forte but I hope this helps you. I totally recumbent her!!!!! Dick Young read more

This doctor has helped me tremendously with my lower back. Katherine, is so knowledgeable and kind. Doctor followed through and supported me when I slipped a disc. She got me to the right place by calling doctors and pushed for me to be seen quickly so I could go back to work. Then called me everyday while I recovered. She's an angel. Highly recommend. Will continue with her over the top treatment. read more

I have been going to ACW for a few years. As an office worker that spends a lot of time at a desk, Dr. Ellison has been instrumental in helping me stay strong and flexible during my work day. Not only does she provide great chiropractic care, she has great advice on stretching and keeping active as part of your daily care. Highly recommend. read more

I can't say enough great things about Dr. Katherine Ellison. From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed and truly cared for. She listens attentively, explains everything clearly, and creates a personalized treatment plan that works. Her adjustments are gentle, precise, and incredibly effective. I've experienced real relief thanks to her expertise. She's professional, compassionate and genuinely invested in her patients' well-being. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional chiropractic care! read more

I had a shooting pain down my left leg and after one visit and a couple of "taps" it was gone! Dr Ellison gave me a few tips for building up strength and mobility where I need it. She explained clearly what was going on and made me comfortable while doing the adjustments (neck cracking scares me and she did it so quick and effortlessly, that alone was worth the visit). I also got a great massage! read more

I can't say enough amazing things about Dr. Ellison and everyone who works at ACW! This place had provided me with years of body support in adjustments, massage and wonderful client care! The atmosphere is community and family oriented and I would 100% recommend to anyone who is looking for body work from a super body positive and very knowledgeable provider. If you are looking to have someone listen to what is not working for you and then help you create a plan to get your body back to feeling great you should absolutely go here. If you can't tell yet, I love this place, I love all the staff and you should check them out asap! read more

Not worth it. Wasted my time traveling to this place only to find they cancelled my appointment because I was late even after letting them know I was running late. Arrogant receptionist who thinks she herself is a doctor!!!! My experience with this place was worse than a third grade spa. read more

I LOVE Katherine! I love her staff! When I first came here and found there was a "Woman" Doctor I was skeptical. Thinking she's not going to be strong enough to adjust me as needed. I was wrong! He bed side manner is great, she's personable and does a fantastic job. read more

I went to this place a couple years when my back was really screaming angry. I felt great cause the atmosphere was warm and friendly. Although some of the people in the lobby looks like office snobs. I loved the complimentary tea and snack as well. First visit got some xrays done. Had some sessions when the lovely chiropractor lady and switched jobs and never was in this area again. They sent nice happy birthday cards and personalized how are you?! I wish I wrote them back but, life just is too fast! Miss you guys! read more

I love, love, love this place. I've been seeing Dr. Ellison since last summer, and every experience has been friendly, professional, and genuine. The staff here know you by name, and they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The minute you walk in, there are snacks, tea, and/or water available to you. Dr. Ellison always listens intently to any concerns and comments. If she can't fix it, she'll recommend someone who can. I've also been seeing Lael, one of the massage therapists. She's the only massage therapist I've found who's a provider for Regence Blue Shield. FYI. read more

Upon entering the third trimester of my pregnancy, I started experiencing severe pain in my glutes to the point where I couldn't walk. I saw my massage therapist, Jerry Porter of www.jerryportermassage.com, (who did wonders for my pain) and he suggested I see Dr. Ellison at Always Chiropractic. I am so glad that I did! She is incredibly knowledgable, thorough and caring. Her staff are friendly and they even offer treats/tea/water in the waiting area - always a bonus for a pregnant woman like me. =) Bottom line, if you're in pain or looking for overall wellness of health, make an appointment to see Dr. Ellison. read more

Dr. Ellison et al are very friendly and accommodating! I've been going there for a couple of years now ... They're also very appreciative of their patients! Pie Day, the annual BBQ, etc ... they're so sweet! I'm headed over to see Dr. E tomorrow for neck/back/headache pain, and now that Raquel has reminded me that Lael's on Regence's list, I'll have to see about getting in with her soon, too! read more

Dr. Ellison saved my life. Seven years ago, I had incredible and constant pain, I was not sleeping, and (unknown to me at the time) I was deeply depressed. I came to Dr. E based on a recommendation of an excellent massage therapist who still contracts with her, and from the first appointment, I was hooked. She took great care and attention with me, a method I've observed over the years that she repeats with every other client. She is aware of what is going on in our lives, asks questions, finds the humor in everyday situations, all while providing the best care and answers. Dr. E has recommended me to other care providers and over the years I've developed a self care regime that holds chiropractic as the constant. Her staff is always pleasant, thoughtful, and on point. I hope others are able to find the care they need and that they seek it from one of the best providers I know, Dr. Katherine Ellison. read more

I admit, this place was wonderful until they had an issue. I was seeing Dr Ellison several times during my third trimester due to hip pain. At the time, I had two different types of insurance policies and had given them the incorrect insurance company to bill to. Anyway, long story short, they didn't want to deal with billing the correct insurance company and waiting for their money, which I could understand but before I even had a chance to discuss this with them... Dr Ellison got on the phone and literally berated me for giving them the wrong insurance company's information and told me that the best thing for me to do was to pay them out of pocket and me bill the insurance company myself. I was shocked and quite simply hung up and did just that. Of course being pregnant in my third trimester, I was even more upset. She was the person caring for me and supposedly taking care of me during this sensitive time. I'd like to say that I made this same error with another chiropractic clinic that I was seeing around the same time (pregnancy brain, sorry) and they just rebilled the correct insurance company... no big deal.. and got their money. I can't believe I was treated like that by Dr Ellison and never returned, of course. read more

Ive been receiving care here for 6 months. Dr Ellison is very thorough with her exams and treatments and is very good at patient education. My health has improved, I'm fatigued less and have much less pain and range of motion. The scheduling is really flexible which is great for my busy schedule. The front desk staff are awesome and deserve a shout out as well! I also receive regular massage and I LOVE my LMP Kate! She has strong hands and I always feel better after a session with her. Ive also see Sarah and her massage really relaxes me. read more

I went there two times. I asked a question about how my insurance covers the costs and how I can get an appointment. It was obvious that they don't want to provide service to me. each time they made an excuse for that. this time they told me that since we have a plan that takes your lifestyle into account you better go to another offices! their way of speaking was so humiliating. it seems that they choose their clients in an unfair way. totally disappointmetd. read more

I've been under the care of ACW for 2+ years and feel like I've gotten what I needed. Playing soccer constantly jolts my alignment and Dr. Ellison puts me back together. So far, Shirley and Jerry are awesome therapist who alleviate my usual knots. I've gotten better range of motion and less headaches from my treatment here. I have other teammates who come here as well. Not trying to be a sales rep here but, they relocated to the WSECU building that gives bigger square footage and more parking - they're doing something right if they're expanding. On another note, I had all kinds of insurance issues b/c the carriers couldn't get it together. I was basically covered under 3 but tried to change to only one. ACW waited out on billing me after 3 visits until I could get it fixed. For me, ACW was cooperative/flexible for my situation. Not quite sure what happened for the other one-star post - but just wanted readers to realize ACW doesn't always treat their clients this way. read more

Dr. Ellison and everyone at ACW are awesome! I've been getting care here for about a year and a half and I've seen a lot of improvement. Dr. Ellison is so great and the staff are wonderful. Great massages, too. I haven't yet seen the new acupuncturist. I very highly recommend ACW for care. It's a wonderful, soothing, healing, and professional place! I've never had any issues with insurance or billing. They are incredibly helpful in that regard. read more

Dr Ellison is amazing! Will miss her so much as we are moving to Portland. She has saved my neck and back so many times over the last 6+ years. read more

Katherine Ellison is an excellent chiropractor. She is attentive and personable ~ as are her staff. The office is cozy and smells good too ~ the scents from the oil burners are very relaxing (it's so distinct; and inviting from the 1st floor lobby). They've also got healthy snacks for you to enjoy while waiting for your appointment or to go when your appointment's over (they're a good holdover for dinner on my commute home). Another great provider at Always Chiro is their LMP, Rachel. She's excellent and I look forward to my appointments with her before I've even left the table from the last one. read more

I cannot give enough praise for the practitioners and staff at Always. They have always been extraordinarily kind, helpful and supportive. I have been seeing Dr. Ellison for about 5 years and my neck, shoulders and lower back have never felt better. She is very in tune with her patients, their needs and lifestyles and includes all factors in the care she provides. The on-staff massage therapists and acupuncturist are fantastic and work hard to insure that their care and treatment is integrated and balanced in a holistic manner. read more

Dr Ellison is the best chiropractor I have ever been to. Years of exercise and sports left me with extreme lower back pain, to the point I could barely reach down past my knees. After an initial evaluation I started seeing her a couple of times a week for adjustments until I started feeling better. I see her now every 2-3 weeks for tune-ups and I feel great! I work out, run and play basketball again. My wife also goes here, I would recommend ACW to any friend, and have in the past. read more

Dr Ellison and everyone at ACW are outstanding, my migraines have pretty much dissapeared and I no longer walk like Courtney Love after a high speed collision with a Costco shopping cart. Yes...I'm aligned, yay. read more

I have worked with Dr. Katherine Ellison for going on 11 years now. She and this practice have utterly and completely changed my life in that time. I have learned so much about what it really takes to achieve "wellness" in this life. Through regular adjustments, my nervous system is now more adaptable, and able to heal and rebound from the stressors life inevitably throws our way. I have achieved a kinesthetic education receiving adjustments from Dr. Ellison that is unparalleled. I feel as though I have complete and total power to make good choices in my life that support and improve that wellness. read more

Dr Ellison is a fabulous chiropractor and truly cares about your overall wellness. She even called me on my birthday. I highly recommend her and her fabulous staff. Also in her office is Jerry Porter, who is the best massage therapist I have ever had. Unfortunately, after years of back issues I've had to see several massage therapists, but Jerry is by far the best. At first I was a little hesitant to have a male massage therapist, but he is so good that I would recommend him to everyone. read more

I highly, highly recommend Dr. Ellison as a chiropractor. I grew up with a mother who was a LMT, and worked for a chiropractor- so I've been around many, and she is the absolute best. You will receive all encompassing care, compassion and enthusiasm for wellness. I've never seen any human being work as hard as her, or remember everything about you and truly care about you as a patient and human being. I have had body work by the majority of her staff and they are exceptional as well- I highly recommend Leslie for asian body work. I can't say enough good things about this office, really. Very top notch! read more

Dr. Ellison and her staff are absolutely incredible. I had to have one hip replaced 2 years ago, and the other one was starting to cause me some serious pain along with my knee from favoring my hip for so long. Started seeing Dr. E and the improvement has been amazing. She got me realigned and walking straight again. I am now able to postpone the other hip replacement and have even started working out again. I can't say enough good things about ACW, Dr. E, and her staff. They are the best anywhere!! read more

FINALLY SOME HELP! So got into a fender bender, and my initial chiropractor wouldn't even see me, cuz he didn't want to deal with the paper work. Went somewhere else, and the adjustment didn't even take. Finally, my massage therapist said you should see Dr. Ellison....Feeling much better now! Should have gone to her YEARS ago! read more

Dr. Ellison is A.....Mazing! I started seeing her around 2004 for chronic pain which I then realized was Chronic Lyme Disease. I took my treatment down another pathway and haven't regularly been adjusted over the last 3 years. But a few months ago, I was in a car accident and suffered whiplash and other pain to top off my already chronic pain. She does these really cool body scans that visibly show where you're "off" and inflamed. I love looking at them and seeing a visual of how I feel. Then seeing the progress. It's a really neat tool. I recommend Dr. Ellison to anyone I hear of who has back pain. She can help you! AND, if she doesn't know something or how to fix it, she'll find the right person and/or solution. She has also recommended me to a fantastic massage therapist to help with the accident pain, as well as a fantastic lawyer. So yes, Dr. Ellison is top notch! read more

Dr Ellison is the most knowledgeable chiropractor in the Seattle area by a landslide. Her care and attention to detail is above average, she is incredibly funny, and is very pleasant to chat with as well. Aliyah and Shannon at the front desk are two of the nicest and most sociable people I've encountered since moving back to Seattle. This team really feels like a family and I will never go anywhere else for chiropractic care. read more

There's a reason why I drive halfway across town to this place. Katherine and her whole team are THE BEST. They make an effort to get to know their clients and demonstrate that they value you as a person, not just an appointment. The personal care and attention you get at this clinic is unparalleled. If you just want to get adjusted and get out, this place is not for you. Here you get a personal touch and that's why I will go nowhere else. read more

Called to make 1st appointment and they were not helpful! I guess they have enough patient and don't need new one.

I've been going here for 2 years for chiropractic, acupuncture, and occasionally massage. It's funny, I had never read any of the reviews before, but have experienced what quite a few people below said on several occasions, which I find interesting. You'd think they would attempt to change their attitude if multiple people are telling them they have an attitude. After today, I am done. Here's the details; A year ago, I had a terrible massage, she literally didn't go near the area where I was feeling pain, the entire reason I went for a massage in the first place. Terrible customer service followed when I said something, they argued with me, treated me like I was stupid and knew nothing about the human body, etc... I became pregnant with twins shortly after and didn't even want to begin looking for a new practice, so I continued to go for chiro and loved my acupuncture. Fast forward to Friday, to no fault of her own, Dr. Ellison was not able to get to work because of the pileup on the 5. I got a phone call literally 5 minutes before my appointment (she had been stuck on the freeway for 2 hours, so a 30 minute warning would have been nice as I was already outside), but I understood and rescheduled with the secretary for Monday. Apparently they called and left a message later that day that she would not be able to see me at my scheduled time... I have twins under a year old, I don't check my messages, I'm trying to keep my head on straight. I showed up for my scheduled appointment with my twins in tow and the secretaries turned me away AND had SO much attitude about it ("because we called" they said). I don't give a F*** if you called! If you schedule an appointment, you honor that appointment. It wasn't even like the doctor wasn't there... She was there! I marched right back there and talked with her (she was sitting in her office without a patient in sight) and she went straight to the defensive saying the same thing... "we called". Again, it doesn't matter if you called... If I don't get the message, it is still your responsibility to honor the appointment. It takes 30 minutes to get twins under the age of 1 out the door fed with clean diapers and another 30 minutes to drive there. I was seriously dumbfounded at the attitude I received. I cried. There are a ton of chiropractors in Seattle. If you want to stay in business, figure out the attitude problem! read more

Dr Ellison is the best. Been going to her for 14 years and I love love love her. Her bedside manner is the best and she's an excellent chiropractor! Also is super queer friendly! read more

I am so thankful for the folks at Dr Ellison's clinic, I began seeing her when I got sick back in the fall of 2013. Doctors I was seeing at the time did not think I would recover from my condition but through her care I did in fact regain function. I am so grateful that she did not give up on me and that she continues to help me with treatment. Her team also introduced me to massage therapy which has been a huge plus. Her staff is very welcoming and always gives me a reminder call prior to my appointment, which I find very helpful.Always look forward to seeing them. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Ellison for many years, originally referred by a friend for neck and shoulder pain. After having tried many other paths Dr. Ellison was able to help get my mobility back. Fast forward to the last 2 years where I have taken up mountain climbing. A rewarding yet punishing sport on the body. Spending hours each week training with a heavy back pack, running stairs and doing Pilates takes its toll. Working with Dr. Ellison has made it possible for me to reach many summits and fulfill dreams of reaching places I never thought possible. I appreciate the thoughtful care and guidance I receive and the support to keep doing what I love. I would recommend working with ACW for the understanding, knowledge and compassion they provide. read more

I have been receiving care from Dr. Ellison for about 7 years. Amazing how time flies! I see Dr. Ellison regularly for maintenance care and have seen her for acute injuries as well. No matter the occasion, I leave the clinic feeling grounded, loved, and pain free. Dr. Ellison is a true master of her craft. She has the most incredible memory too! I am always amazed at the details she is able to recall given how many patients she see's every day/week. Beyond the remarkable chiropractic and massage therapy treatments I have received at Always Chiropractic, Dr. Ellison and her staff (shout out to Aaliya!) have become such a sweet part of my life here in Seattle. I get birthday cards and a phone call from Dr. Ellison every year, along with general check-ins if it has been a couple months since I've been in. I used to work for Chiropractors for 4 years as a C.A., so I have had my fair share of experience behind the desk as well as direct chiropractic care with other D.C.'s. Dr. Ellison ranks at the very top for care in Seattle. She referred me to my primary care Dr. as well, who I also love. Couldn't sing more praises to the entire staff. I have referred everyone I know who is in need of care to her. Nothing but LOVE and the highest praise to her and the staff. If I could give them a 10 stars (out of 5), I would! Also, Dr. Ellison is a HUGE Hawks fan...another plus ;). GO HAWKS! read more

I originally was referred by a friend, and I was in really terrible pain. I couldn't turn my neck or bend over without acute pain. I had been to a chiropractor before but they didn't help me at all. In less than 6 months, I was back in sports and exercising regularly without pain. My only complaint is that I need to go every month for maintenance. She also helped me figure out some stomach issues, and all together improved my life. read more
