This place is relatively new. We came here for the first time in May 2023. Great owners who were super friendly. They have a lot of child and adult baking classes you can take here. Huge outdoor patio area that's really awesome that you could rent. Very nicely decorated on the inside. In fact, MUCH larger on the inside than what you would imagine from the outside. The only thing we tried today was a brownie, and it was epic. They also do gluten free. Recommend! Support this small business. read more

Update Bumped them up a star - Went back and guess what? They have doggy treats now. Gizmo really seemed to enjoy his. So much so that there were no crumbs left behind. There were two young ladies manning the counter and they were as friendly as could be. I picked up a zucchini nut bread for a neighbor, some cookies for another neighbor, the treats for Gizmo and nothing for me - since they were out of the carrot cake loaves. Nicole said those aren't regular items - she'll just make them when she has extra batter or sometimes they'll be part of a seasonal offering. Sad face. Lol. Also - on this visit, I did remember to ask about gluten-free and diabetic (sugar-free or low-sugar) offerings and they don't have any but they happily pointed out some of the lower-sugar items. This was such a disappointment. For one, you can rarely find rainbow cookies outside of NYC so imagine my surprise stumbling across this gem... I had such high hopes but they were quickly extinguished. The rainbow cookies were old, not fresh but not stale either. They have maybe another day before they aren't edible. But the worst was the white cake. The cake was so hard!! Like 4 day old cornbread! It's like the slice was going to sit in the case until it sold... or maybe the sold us the display cake by mistake? Nonetheless, this was over $20 wasted. If I didn't live 30 minutes away, I would've returned it. Edit to add my husband said the sticky bun was just "ok" like not fresh but not stale. read more

I ordered a custom cake over the phone and Nicole did not disappoint. My "picky"daughter was so pleased with her cake. We will definitely order again. The icing wasn't too sweet and the cake was moist and delicious. Absolutely stunning with fresh roses, strawberries and more. Love it!!! read more

We went to a bridal event, looking for cupcakes that were not crazy sweet. Always Cake Bakery was perfect! After seeing the options for flavors online, made the trip about an hour from us to sit down with Nicole. She handled everything and made it so easy to order for our event. The day of, she showed up early and had the cupcakes set up before anyone really even knew she was there. We had so many people compliment the cupcakes! Was passing the location today so stopped in right before they closed...the baker and cashier were both very kind...this appears to be a family business and I wanted to love it for that reason (plus the location is easily accessible). I was all the way disappointed with the cake (strawberry champagne)...it wasn't the cake flavor I chose that disappointed me, but instead the texture of the icing. I was told this was buttercream icing but it can't be...it has a very weird soft/not slimy but very different texture...almost like jello...seems like fondant (and it's not good at all). I really wanted to like this for the reasons I noted above (but also because they are pretty pricey- one slice of cake was $9.50 ). read more

We worked with Chef Nicole for our wedding cake, and everything was delicious. She was very professional, helpful, and responsive from our tasting to completing our order. We had a couple's personal cake (red velvet) and 3 different flavors of cupcakes (tiramisu, dark choc. raspberry, and strawberry champagne). The cake and cupcakes were moist, flavorful, and not overly sweet like most other bakeries. Our guests enjoyed every bite and shared the same sentiments. read more

Giving 2 out of 5 stars. Stopped by today for first time. I wanted to love this bakery but unfortunately, was disappointed. Bought a pound cake loaf for my husband, a slice of cake for him (classic vanilla), a slice of cake for me (tiramisu), a southern lady tea cookie & 2 Turkey sausage cheese biscuits. Cookie and biscuits were good, however, the cakes are NOT good. They are very dry & extremely overpriced. Not good quality, sadly. I suppose it was worth the risk to try. Tip: Gabrielle's bakery in Marietta is so much better in taste, quality and price. read more

My hubby and I have been so very excited about stopping here to support a locally owned business. The store is so cute and has some diverse offerings (like gelato and coffee). Staff were really sweet and helpful. However, we were so disappointed! I spent $72.00 on a birthday cake for our granddaughter and one slice of coconut cake and a chocolate chip cookie. For local business owners, we truly do not mind spending this much, and although high priced- we were proud to support the store and be a blessing in our community. However, the quality of the cakes and cookies was less than desirable. Dry, bulky, dense, not very flavorful at all. They were just stale, at best. I really wanted this to be a win. I hope they figure this out. I'll try one more time, and if I get the same quality, then that will be it for our household. read more

Cake is very dry and cupcakes had a terrible buttercream icing. $30 straight to the garbage. The service seemed to be ok, even though I had a sense of them rushing me out. Ambiance is the best thing going. read more

I am reviewing the chicken pot pie sold by this bakery. It was ok but NOT worth the $35 price for a 9" pie with an additional surcharge to use a credit card. The pie was more potato than anything else with I would estimate less than a cup of chicken. However, the crust was very well done so maybe just stick with the baked goods since it is technically a bakery. I will stick with the 24", $23, full of chicken pie from Costco in the future. read more
