It was definitely time for a review update because since my last review they have changed to a much bigger location and converted into a full restaurant. I love any family owned business and it has been so cool to see this establishment grow from not even having inside seating, to now having a full restaurant and lounge area inside as well as an outside porch area. The ambiance inside is old school and looks pretty cool! The service is friendly and exhibits the southern charm that Marietta is known for. We've had various visits but on this visit it was just me. I got the ham and cheese croissant and a dirty chai. Both were pretty good and the prices were completely reasonable. I will definitely return to this spot again with my family and I highly recommend that you give it a try, especially if your in the area! read more

I knew I would love Sessions Stand when I found it online looking for a cute coffee stop on my drive from Atlanta airport to Chattanooga, it did not disappoint even a little. I walked here from Church St. and it was a beautiful walk past some gorgeous old well-maintained homes. Very charming neighborhood area. This location is prime. It backs up to some trees and vines in the back, has a large park on the side for children, the patio overlooks the part and green space, and it has a large, old building with exposed wood beams, loads of charm, and lots of open space to hang out! If I lived here, I'm sure I'd be here all the time. The food menu was light, but the vibes were strong. Staff were exceptionally friendly and answered my questions and I found the QR table ordering fast and efficient. You can always walk up to the window if you prefer. I had already had lunch so I went light and had a lemon bundt and the French B**** coffee. Both were out quickly and were delicious! The decor inside is gorgeous. Even the bathrooms are fancy and on theme. The cutest! AND quite popular ! Decided to switch up my work location and wanted to try Sessions. This spot is BOOKED and busy! Lots of moms with kiddos and strollers taking advantage of the green space and play area. LOTS of folks working remotely. And even more friends/family/colleagues meeting up for chatter, coffee and food! I love the concept! Located off the busy streets and downtown area, there is ample parking. You can order from the walk-up window OR grab a seat inside, scan and order right from your table. The servers were BUSY shuttling orders back and forth, as well as turning tables. The floral walls and bathroom decor are GORGEOUS. I only had coffee - also delicious - but everything that came out the kitchen looked good. If you're looking for a playdate location, swanky remote work spot OR a great venue to catch up with a friend, I HIGHLY recommend this location. An added bonus is secure WiFi. Check it out. My husband had heard nothing but good things about this little place so he drove me out to take a look. It was a very sunny and beautiful day so we decided to take a trip and get a coffee. Parking can be a hassle as the parking lot fills up quick. I got a matcha latte with coconut milk and vanilla. It took some time for my order to get out and once I got it was a beautiful green color. The portions of the matcha weren't the best for the size I got so it was very watered down. I was a bit disappointed so next time I think I'll get a smaller size. Been coming here for years and this adorable coffee shop has never disappointed me. They keep their drink menu fresh with seasonal drinks year round, they keep expanding the food menu so you can even have a full sit down meal at breakfast or lunch here, and the staff members are always so friendly and helpful. They are kid and dog friendly which is a perk too! I was out here for an event and decided to try a drink and some food. The chicken salad sandwich was so good. I also tried a lavender tea. If I were out in this area again, I would definitely come back for something else. The employee at the window was so helpful and suggested my order to me. She had great suggestions because I enjoyed everything I purchased. The restaurant is at the end of the shopping plaza and has a huge grassy area next to it. Sometimes the cap is not sweet enough at other shops, but here it was nice. The chocolate tasted like dark chocolate which was different. The do have outside seating and a private parking lot. Be careful using gps as the last turn may have you going left instead of bearing right. Only snag was I needed a little more meat in my ham croissant. I had an espresso and a macchiato with almond milk. Both were pretty good. The espresso was pretty good. They get their beans from Rev Coffee roasters which is one of my go-tos so I recognized the quality. It had a very slight burnt taste but not too bad. So where do I begin to tell the story of Sessions......located in a residential area behind Kennestone Hospital in Marietta. The weather was nice enough to choose outside seating. We asked for a printed menu, and that's when things became very irritating. We were told to use our phones to scan the QR code placed on our table #11. The print on the phone was very small, and it was hard to see what ingredients were in the diffetent items. At this point we were contemplating going somewhere else. But hey, we are not quitters. While playing with our phones we asked for help because we were very frustrated. Nice server came and guided us through the entire ordering process which took quite long time. But this young lady worked very hard to make us happy. Some popular items were sold out before 10:30 am. I understand that this can happen However, if some menu items are so popular, why was the kitchen not prepared for that. After ordering I asked to be sure that the nice server would get her tip. She informed me that all the servers share the tips. I know that some restaurants do that, but as an old restaurant manager, I do not like that. So at the end I insisted giving her a cash tip. She earned it. While waiting for our food we enjoyed watching families with their dogs and playing children on the huge backyard playground. So this restaurant offers a cozy family friendly atmosphere for their quests. But not necessarily a quiet one. Finally we got our meals. Mine was chicken salad croissant with some chips and greens with coffee. My friend ordered a latte with a salad. She was very happy with her latte and she liked her salad. My chicken salad was too thick to my taste and was missing some flavor. Our server was attentive and checked on us several times. So the customer service is good here and seems that the team works well together. Overall, this entire concept is great, nice surroundings, modern interior, inside and outside seating, and chance to order at the front entrance or at the table. There is also a room for a private party at the back of the restaurant. But I found only one unisex restroom with a babychanching table. Not a problem to me, but I think there should be more restrooms. This place was great, and I understand why it's popular but I will not return anytime soon. Next time I will choose an establishment where I don't have to scan QR codes and I will have a menu in my hand. Today was not a good experience. We ordered a good bit because when you come parking is so hard. We ordered two lunch sandwiches (based on their IG post) and I feel we did not get what was advertised. The bread was toasted really hard and hardly any meat. When I asked for the bread not to be hard they wanted to charge me for a whole other sandwich. They won't even fix it had I had the option for it not to be this toasted I would have said no toasting. Then To try and say "it's always this toasted" as if I have never had a sandwich from here. I really miss the old window when it was smaller. It's just too much of a trip to keep coming back for this type of quality and treatment. I'm done. read more

This place is sooo cute but parking is so stressful! Like I didn't come from midtown atl to Marietta to get stressed out by parking?? There are only like 15-20 spots for Sessions and the neighboring businesses to share and it was BUSY on a Saturday around noon. I ended up parking at a public park a couple blocks away and walking over. Once inside, the vibe is so cozy. I love the mismatched vintage furniture that is actually comfortable! Lots of armchairs and plush couches. There are a few smaller tables, a bar area, and a long communal table as well. You order via QR code on the tables off your phone and they will bring you the items. I got the Turkish eggs and the iced French B latte and it was perfect. The prices were reasonable and it was around $20 for my order. My friend got the tiramisu latte and really enjoyed it. It's the perfect place to catch up with a friend! I recommend coming on a weekday when it is less busy. read more

Venue and Atmosphere Sessions has a large beautiful patio, overlooking a grassy lawn. The inside is very beautiful, with plush seating, as well of plenty of table if you want to sit and study. Service Service was prompt, courteous, and efficient. The ordering system isn't clear upfront, but a kind employee explained it to me. Food and Beverages The salmon toast was amazing, as was the jalapeno/bacon pastry and the desserts. The club sandwich was good but I don't need to order it again. I'm almost not sure how a cafe affords a place like this; it's got a huge indoor area with fancy chairs, tables, and decor, and also a big outdoor area with a patio and a large yard. My chai latte was super tasty and the brownie we got was really delicious (and gluten free). We definitely plan to come here again. Parking can get tricky on the weekend, but you can park further down the street and easily walk over! We sat at the bar and ordered brunch and cocktails - we had the SWEETEST waitress/Bartender! She gave great recommendations. We had a Buscuit and the Waffle - you could tell that all of the bread was made in house. I've frequented Sessions Stand for about a year and a half now, and I visit nearly every week. I was a customer when they were at the fork in the road in their quaint walk-up counter stand. I enjoyed the charming nature of the counter bakery and the versatility in their menu. Since they've expanded into the larger space (directly across the street from the old location). The charm is still there but it's different. I miss the seasonal toasts and Wednesday Sandwiches. Unfortunately, they've not been able to keep this consistent in the new bakery. However, the new bakery has rolled out many amazing new menu items that weren't available at the smaller space so there's give and take. The new space is absolutely gorgeous! It's very lovely with inspiration from French designs. The ordering is contactless via the QR Code on the table. The space is partially a shared workspace table or individual cafe tables, social setting at the couches, bar seating, and al fresco style along the front and side of the building. If you want full access to the menu you'll have to dine-in. I love how family-oriented the cafe is, you will often see children's playdates and mommy meetups at the green space. That said, the sooner you can arrive the better to beat the crowd of tots, lack of parking, and so they're not sold out which happens around lunchtime. It's been a pleasure eating here, they're pretty consistent and the staff that I previously knew at the old stand are very gracious and welcoming! I've not had to pleasure to officially meet the owner. She seems too focused to speak and float around the room to check on customers. Ownership is less personable than the customer facing staff, although they're normally onsite. Nonetheless, they're going in the right direction with the business. Hopefully, they'll add cold foam to the menu because my iced lattes aren't the same without it. I look forward to my morning visits which are practically every morning. You can still wait in line at the window for grab and go, or you can sit inside on velvet couches and chairs, tables, or on the patio. This is my new FAVORITE coffee spot! Found this gem of a place hidden in a neighborhood near the Marietta Square on a whim. So glad to stumble upon it!! There is a cute take out window for orders on the go. Walk inside the double glass doors to be whisked away to a fancy, but quaint cafe. Nice mix of chairs/tables and then a sitting area with couches and armchairs. More bistro tables and chairs outside. Lots of coffee and tea offerings. I branched out and ordered a brown butter rosemary Au lait. I was pleasantly surprised of the subtle but comforting flavor. The menu had pastries and other savory offerings. Inside was a chic bar as well as a water station. They had some merch for sale, fresh breads and even lovely flowers bouquets in mason jars! Price was average ~$4.51 for about an 18" epi. Since the bread was a miss, no value. Credit Cards accepted. +. Service was prompt and easy - Parking is free but very limited...2 cars. No street parking available. There's a park with some parking about 5-10 minute walk. Overall, Sessions Stand is a charming little coffee shop for this Marietta neighborhood / if you are in a walking distance. But their sourdough epi miss and extreme lack of parking won't be beckoning me back anytime soon. They used to occupy a teeny tiny building across from their new current location. You'd walk up to the window, place your order and sit in one of the handful of bistro tables on their small deck. Now, you can still order from the window and sit on the deck (which overlooks a green space where kids were running free, playing and enjoying the outdoors), OR you can go inside through the most beautiful pink doors and into a breathtaking space that transports you to a European cafe. The space is stunning and HUGE - event worthy that's for sure! It oozes charm and character with the original wood floors and exposed wood ceiling. You are greeted with a variety of seating options - lush emerald green sofas perfectly placed to encourage conversation, large tables to share with a large group or just sit with your laptop, and cute bistro tables cozy for two. The menu has certainly expanded a bit in their new larger space too. They have more breakfast options served until 11am, as well as a lunch menu consisting mostly of sandwiches. They offer an array of coffee and tea blends perfect for any mood. If you order your coffee from the window it comes in an adorable to-go cup which matches the wallpaper inside...oh the details...inside you're served on china with gold utensils...again, unique details that set them apart! Ordering inside is easy....choose your seat, scan the QR code, browse the menu and place your order...they find you based on your table number. You can choose to close your order or leave your tab open if you plan to sit a while. Being able to offer an interior space isn't the only thing that expanded with this move - now they have an entire parking lot too which is great news since it certainly posed a challenge at their previous location. I have already been twice since their grand opening and can't wait until my next visit! Ordered a lavender honey latte to go the first time around (the interior space wasn't open yet) and a cappuccino with avocado toast during my most recent visit.
