I also thought the espresso itself was a bit bitter and more of a darker roast, which isn't how I prefer it. Probably wouldn't get it again. But I did pick up some beans. We asked an employee to help explain some of the roasts they offered and she was kind and helpful to give us some insight. You can buy the beans by 1/4 lb increments and they'll dispense and bag them fresh from their wall of beans. They also have a rewards program where you get a free lb of beans for every 10 or so lbs of beans you purchase. There were also prepackaged beans that come in 12 oz bags. The nutty aroma from the ube hit my senses before I even took a sip, and the first taste was everything. I've had a lot of different matchas and love them all for different reasons, but this one is easily in my top favorites.
