Alumni Grill 1130 Hwy 1, Thibodaux, LA 70301 I love to travel for food - it's an expensive but delicious hobby! I am sharing my foodie adventures with you all! Both the Tuna Nachos and Burger of the Month were incredible! I'm definitely coming back! #Foodie #Travel #Louisiana #Food #Burger #Nachos #restaurant #tonylameats #thibodeauxla #alumnigrill

A worthy visit from Austin, Texas to Thibodaux, LA - every time. Everything's packed with flavor. Never disappoints. Don't miss out, stop there when you can! Huge kudos to owners, Chef Minh & Bonnie!

This is such a nice little burger joint! First of all I love that they have a cauliflower burger option bc it's not often you run into many vegetarian options around here. Unfortunately I didn't notice this until after I ordered but I'm not sad I'll have to go back to try this! We started with crawfish nachos! It was more like chips with a bowl of crawfish queso I'd say but still enjoyable all the same. Nice and crispy chips with a very tasty and thick sauce with plenty of crawfish. I got a grilled Buffalo chicken sandwich with hot fries. Chicken was cooked to perfection - juicy and blackened and so much flavor. Not soggy or anything either, it was great! The fries were topped with Buffalo sauce which was so much better than I expected, melt in your mouth. And the RANCH they serve with it is amazing and compliments everything so well. Husband got the bang bang shrimp sandwich with cheese and broccoli which was great. I tried a bite and loved it! The way the shrimp was breaded was so yummy, not too battery or overpowering. I could taste the shrimp and every flavor. The bread was nice and crunchy too. Husband got a strawberry milkshake which was so nice and creamy, simple and delicious. Ended with bread pudding, it didn't look fresh as can be but I won't complain bc it was so tasty! A nice crust on the side and the sauce was delicious. We finished every last bite! Also service from our waitress crystal was really great, she constantly checked up on us and was an absolute delight!

We brought three hungry (hangry?) boys after a cross country running meet. Food and service were excellent! Get the tuna nachos.

Real quick late lunch , I believe we had our burgers in less then ten minutes. Fresh bun and well seasoned turkey patty , and my side brussel sprouts were delicious. The sprouts had a nice char , crispy outer leaves nice texture.

Great burgers ... the wings are probably some of the best I ever had and great service for a first time visitor. chastity explained everything I needed to know ... the alumni seasoning on wings is spot on and also hot fries (Buffalo sauce on fries) was a great touch to add to my burger .. the bourbon caramel on my bread pudding was MONEY!! wings 2 massive burgers a dessert and a drink was $50 totally worth it imo .. thanks y'all for the great food .. I'll be back for sure !! #geauxcolonels

This place is AMAZING. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Every time I come here I am never disappointed. The Cauliflower burger fried or grill is yummy. I get it every time with sweet potatoes or grilled veggies. The Turkey burger is so yummy too. What ever you get there you want be disappointed. The place is very quaint and the staff is great and attentive so, I recommend you get there as soon as you can. You want be disappointed I promise. Every thing there was great.

The Tuna Nachos were fabulous. I had them medium rare. Great service and clean. I'll be back.

Grill shrimp tacos, with side of onion rings.

My tastes in restaurant dining tends to be pretty high and choices locally are slim pickings. However, there's a new contender in town. This is some exciting stuff! The Alumni Grill is up and running! After a long day, my biz partner and I decided to try the new Grill located just a few minutes out of downtown Thibodaux. Since the opening, I've noticed the parking lot is always full. That can be a good sign, or people are just anxious to try the "new place". As with many Yelpers, I like to give a new place a few weeks to work out any unforeseen kinks. We invited another friend to join us and we set out on our culinary adventure. The place is simple and nicely decorated with local Nicholls State University garb. It was still early for dinner service at 6pm so we were seated right away and left with Menus. A second later, a young lady named Taylor, our server appeared. We asked what they had on Tap? she looked puzzled, she admitted she didn't know what that meant. Then we asked about the beers and she seemed a bit flustered and said she could go get the list right away. You know what? I like that. She was clearly new. She didn't know all the beers off her head yet, but she let us know right away. It's okay to be new AND in a new place to boot. After hearing our choices, she appeared in a flash with three cold beers and iced pint glasses(i hate those chunky type beer glasses, i was pleasantly surprised). She took our orders and off she went. ( a special Bravo to Taylor for handling her newbieness like a pro) What a clever presentation! Personal sized metal baking sheets lined with brown paper. The food was delicious! Cooked to perfection( I requested a medium Burger). We all shared bits and bites across the table chatting on and on about the flavors. The green sauce with the tacos is amazing, but I cant tell you what was in it (Maybe Davis J. could tell you). Another side sauce, looked like a remoulade sauce and it was, but it wasn't. Another great flavor. Not a fan of the mac n' cheese, but i believe this to be a Southern thing. It's really a baked spaghetti which is not a bad thing, but i expected elbow or penne. It's good and everyone at the table agreed unanimously. The flavor of the Jalapeno was subtle, which can be a hit or miss. A fellow Yelper saw my check in and insisted on us trying the bread pudding. We were all full I explained, but she sent me a personal text (it felt like she was there blocking the exits). We complied at her strong persuasions. Um.......she was spot on.......presentation is quite nice, four thick slices laid out and a bourbon caramel sauce puddles as it soaks in. The sauce, the sauce, the sauce...one of the best I've tried since living in Kentucky and Louisiana. It was so good that I'll leave room next time. Yes, I'll be back. Great atmosphere, great food, great service..... If your dropping your kids off to college, or you're picking them up, or your visiting our little part of the world, stop in for a bite......and get the bread pudding....or I'll come block the exits until you do.

Had a great burger, but service was a little off. Waited forever for a server to come and no one else was there. Food was amazing!

I booked this restaurant because I remembered how much I enjoyed their complimentary bread and oil,…read moreand I knew it could comfortably accommodate a larger group for a celebration. Unfortunately, four guests from my party were unable to attend. Only then was I informed of a $15 fee per empty chair. I was shocked. Had I known about this policy beforehand, I would have either chosen a different restaurant or made sure my guests understood the policy. I called three times in total: once to make the reservation, a second time yesterday to adjust the party size (I reached voicemail and left a message), and a third time today at opening to update the number again. During both the initial booking and the final call--when the reservation size was discussed--I was never told about the $15 fee for each empty chair. When I was told there would be a $60 charge for the guests who couldn't attend, I felt gutted. If I had been made aware of this policy at any point during my calls, I would have planned differently, especially knowing some family members might not be able to make it. We all just came from an important ceremony celebrating my accomplishments at Nicholls, and I was so excited to bring my family here--especially because I'd been raving about their delicious bread and oil. Unfortunately, I learned that it had been taken off the menu six months ago. The manager was also dismissive and disrespectful. Instead of addressing the issue professionally, she insisted that she had informed me of the policy over the phone, which was simply not true. Like I've stated before, I would have planned accordingly had I known about this fee. I have years of experience working in customer service. I completely understand the need for policy's like these. I just think there absolutely needs to be a conversation about the no show policy. After the encounter with the unprofessional manager, I asked her if we could pay for our drinks and leave. The waitress ended up coming back and explaining their need for the policy- which I appreciated and expressed my understanding and apologies, as well as the fact that this fee was never once brought up to me. She said the drinks were on the house and we left a tip for her... I hope something changes for the sake of this restaurant.
