I've used Alto a couple of times and so far I'm pleased. I chose them over Uber or Lyft because of security and the ability to control certain aspects of my ride. I feel like they need a bit more advertising in my area. I hope they stay around for a while. I will definitely be using them regularly. read more

I have been a member since day one and had generally been pleased. I had a ride today that was a little over 2 miles and the estimate was $16-19 when I booked and I was billed $26.39. When I reached out to them I was told it was an estimate only, but that is a significant difference. Will rethink my membership now and look for alternatives. read more

Do not download this app, do not use this company. I heard about this company on The Ticket. I like to support companies that advertise there. Well it's a subscription service for $12.95 per months that i never once used. After the first charge on my CC I emailed them to deactivate my account and informed them they were no longer authorized to charge my account. Well, guess what, they're still charging my account. Just use Uber or Lyft. Altos prices aren't any better and they screw you by charging monthly service fees. read more

I have a mixed review. They provide a good service, when they provide it. They continue to have technical issues resulting in canceled rides, GPS not working, drivers going to wrong locations and their APP not updated with your ride. After contacting customer support multiple times, via phone, emails, social medias asking for a manager to call me, no one will respond. I discovered they charge 58% more for pre-scheduled rides for on-demand. They claim it because we block out time for a driver, while I am guaranteeing business doing the same. If they disclosed this, that would be up to me, but I only discovered this after I had to do an on-demand ride because no one showed up for a prescheduled ride. The cost was over 50% difference. The drivers are lovely, very gracious and I feel safe riding with them. Their cars are immaculate but their APP is unreliable and at times, the only source of information. read more

Applied online ... received generic response 28 days later asking about my last three positions worked, job title, responsibilities, & date range ***(All included on my application & resume 28 days ago) Apparently ALL initial communication is phone text - Was told I would provide my availability of hours ... was told "Keep in mind, these are not shifts" - options were AM & PM. The dialogue was great until I inquired about about the selecting of available hours, scheduling, pay rate, benefits. Then received this response-"The schedule is built by your local manager each week and released on Friday. When you complete the application ***(again submitted my application 28 days ago) , you'll have have an opportunity to indicate what hours you're looking to apply for. ***(again on my submitted application 28 days ago). Shifts will be assigned within those timeframes." I'm confused ... was told "No shifts" earlier ?? Not a single one of my questions / inquiries regarding wages / pay, benefits, total weekly working hours was addressed or directed to an answer. Simple valid questions and concerns as a candidate ... Totally unprofessional THEN .... minutes later I receive an EMAIL - "Thank you for your application. While we were impressed with your background, we are moving forward with another candidate. Due to the volume of applications, we are not able to give individual feedback." WOW .... The actual car experience was great but be aware of the hidden fees. With your first ride, you'll receive a 50 dollar ride credit. The company failed to mention that prescheduled rides cost more. My ride was 22 miles totaling in cost a little over 100 dollars. I was under the impression based off the price that was quoted that my ride would be 36 dollars. I contacted customer service and they were not able to rectify the problem. I'm okay with paying for great service, in which they provided but not with hidden fees. I have tried for literally one year, month after month, trying to find a way to cancel and it is impossible. Nice ride. Courteous drivers. App is awful. Does not display driver arrival time - display is cut off. Doesn't auto find destination when typing - had to drag pin to location. Recently dropped and reassigned drivers three times resulting in excessive wait. Paying a premium for nice ride but very frustrating experience. read more

I LOVE Alto. This is by far the best luxury ride share app I have EVER USED. This is far above Uber & Lyft okay. Use Alto and you'll be feeling like a peasant riding in an uber afterwards, trust me. The drivers are so professional, friendly, and kind. The cars are ALWAYS in pristine condition. They don't mind making a stop along they way, they won't leave you, and they always get to your destination with no problems or issues! They don't drive crazy & you can even choose your own AMBIANCE MUSIC. I mean this is luxury at its finest. I love being able to choose my own music, sit back, & relax knowing I'm safe, comfy, & going to get to my destination stress free. Yes, this costs more than an uber or a Lyft and it should. I fired Uber Car Service and Lyft Car Service because the service was subpar. Because they feel no need to take care of me when I put myself into their Car Care Service world. As a senior citizen that's not ok! The communication, follow up and genuine concern for my well being just wasn't there. To top that off in my opinion they stole from me through the charge of a fare to LAX airport. When I ended these relationships I had no hope of ever having a meaningful car share relationship ever again. Then I saw Alto on Instagram. I began to see them riding around very easy on the eye to spot. Their vehicles were really nice. I did research on this company and then tried their trial membership. I was more than pleased. Then this weekend I had a fare charge occurrence with Alto that seemed to be synonymous to that of my experience with Uber. The office was closed and there was no way for me to resolve the issue immediately. This morning I spoke to an Alto rep named Madel. I don't know what training they give these reps but Madel's de-escalating skills were superior. I was so frustrated but her gentle concerned, kind voice keep reeling me back into the land of calmness. She listened and I felt she was empathic and genuinely concerned. Madel did all she was authorized to do for me - plus she started the "calming my nerves process". When I told her I didn't feel the refund was sufficient and fair she put me in the que for an escalation call back. Before I even had time to hiccup Benjamin from Alto Customer Experience Team called me. I have no idea where Alto is getting these young people with these calm, pleasant, soothing voices. Benjamin was so professional, while at the same time being considerate, compassionate, genuinely concerned, excellent listener (never interrupted once) and empowered to handle the situation. He released the refund that Madel issued and granted my additional request. Benjamin also took time to look up an estimated fare for a future car share trip I plan to take, This five star rating is genuine, honest and real. I don't usually take time to post positive nor negative reviews. This young world that I am now living in as a senior often finds me putting out life fires on a daily basis, leaving me no time for review writing. I definitely don't have time to write and get paid for reviews as a living - I'm a postpartum doula (sleep all day, work all night). Alto is sick, the boom, etc. - all those use to be negative phrases that are now being used as positive phrases. (SMH) I'm really glad to be a member of ALTO and as a senior citizen I feel secure putting myself in their care. By the way the trip, the vehicle and the driver were simply amazing!!! This is the WORST car service I have ever used. DO NOT use them. They over charge, are deceptive and dishonest in their business practices. It is not the drivers, it is their corporate set up. I would give no stars if possible, again, not for the drivers, but for their unethical organization. They gave away free rides at a charity event with a code that did not work, then said they would reimburse the ride and never did. read more

Greetings everyone, let me start by saying ALTO is an amazing company, you receive a clean and safe ride through this service. My son's experience with this rideshare company have been great so far and I am sure they will not disappoint in the near future. I just want to thank everyone who works for this rideshare company .For the driver's especially for giving my son a safe ride to and from his destinatons .
