Went to get an alignment assessment. They told me before I arrived that it might be difficult to get later in the day, but I went at that time anyway. I did not get an actual assessment, but they didn't charge me anything. All they said is it looks like all the parts are there, but they can tell where it looks like the original alignment has been adjusted. Been here all of twice, the first time it was a small job. I had a flat tire and was in a pinch, I was driving a mini van at the time and apparently the tire wasn't super common but they assured me they would look but most likely didn't have it. When they came back they told me not only did they find one but the job was completely free along with the tire. And that they would feel wrong charging for it since it took such little time and resources. Amazing people and place. Not only this but today, I had to have my car towed into their shop assuming it was an alternator, battery or starter issue. However when they inspected the vehicle they notified me that they were unable to complete the job due to it being complicated electronic issues, and that the dealership would be better suited. This. Had to go all around Dallas asking for an alignment, many shops had advertised it but non of them would actually do one, it was the same story every time if it wasn't because of my tires it was because their machine was broken or they discontinued it. I showed up at 9:30am today to have my brakes examined because they were making a suspicious squeaking noise. The staff was kind, helpful, and welcoming (Thank you to Josh!!). After thoroughly examining my breaks, they found that the issue was merely rust related. They absolutely could have told me I needed my brake pads replaced or something else and I would have believed them. But they are honest and upfront. My tire got flat the day before a long cross country road trip and went to this mechanic in a pinch. I showed up 5 minutes before they closed without notice and the worker quickly patched the puncture and also ensured all my tires had good pressure (all within 15min!). I stopped in this Monday morning about 8:30 A.M. (without an appointment) and left my Range Rover with Alex due to a brake squeal. The shop was easy to find and clean. The Land Rover dealer wanted $4200 for new rotors, pads, and sensors. Alex thought it might be possible to turn the rotors rather than replace them at 41,000 miles on my truck. I left my truck with them and went home. At 10 A.M., Alex called me back. Upon their diagnosis I was told, unfortunately, the rotors did indeed need replaced and Dallas Brake could do it all for $3k, a significant savings over the dealer. I told Alex I would pick up the vehicle to "think about it" since my funds are low. Surprisingly, he didn't charge me for the diagnosis or anything. I tipped them $20 for their time anyway. The reviews are true. Speedy, friendly, competent, goodwill, and honest service. I wouldn't hesitate to bring my vehicle back here for any of their auto services, and plan to in the future. read more

I was heading on a road trip and wanted to get my brakes done before the drive. Alex and the team were great with getting me in and offering a ride back to my apartment while I waited. This is hands down the best repair shop in Dallas, Randy has been doing this for 42 years and he is the MAN! My car broke down and I needed the starter replaced (I am a 24 year old girl and as much as I would like to be auto savvy, I am not). Lucky for me, I found Randy and his amazing team at Dallas Brake and Alignment who truly saved my (car's) life. This was my automobile NIGHTMARE, I didn't know I would be able to afford repairs, I thought I was going to have to finance a Dodge Charger (nothing wrong with Charger's but I drive a Toyota Sequoia and would not know what to do with myself in a small car). Needless to say, I was FINE- frustrated, insecure, neurotic, and emotional. Randy saved the day and repaired my car and I did not lose an arm and a leg. I was referred to DBA by 4 Wheel Parts which is a business just down the road. I called and spoke to Randy at DBA and he was very easy to talk to and helped me get in touch with a tow service to get my car to their garage for $65. I dropped my car off at around 10:30 a.m. and after receiving two phone calls from him on updates on what they had found he was able to complete the repairs (fan clutch, wiring to fuse link on fire wall, add antifreeze) by 4:30 p.m. the same day. They offered me a ride to and from my apartment which was a huge help. From what one mechanic told me a lot of the guys have been working as mechanics at this locations for 20+ years. They were very professional and I couldn't have asked for a much better experience. They charged $99.50 p/ labor hour which is pretty much the going rate. I also mentioned that I had a slow engine oil leak and Randy said he had some dye coming in soon and could put some dye in the oil so we could see exactly where the leak was coming from. I will be going back in tomorrow to have that added. I would definitely recommend this business to anyone looking for any type of car repairs. read more
