I found out that my apartment had bedbugs three months ago…read more Contacted Black Widow, apartment owner paid $2,000 for treating the apartment (600 square feet unit). We followed all instructions (boxed all belongings, etc.). We had several treatments, and after every treatment, more bedbugs appeared. Sometimes there was a week or so of no activity. After a few treatments, Black Widow did an inspection and deemed the apartment "negative". Within a couple of weeks, my five year old daughter had bites on her arms. I contacted Black Widow and I was told that since they deemed the apartment "negative", my daughter has allergies. Or mosquitoes, or something. A week later, I caught a live bedbug and notified Black Widow. I was asked if I have a photo of the insect. Apparently, unless you take selfies at 2am with the intruder, the intruder does not exist. After I insisted, they agreed to do another treatment. Within a week after the last treatment, I caught 5 live ones in one night alone. Decided to hire another vendor. Asked Black Widow to refund the apartment owner. They said that "there are no guarantees when it comes to bedbugs". They advised that they could do another treatment (billable) if I remove my couch. So, after three months and $2,000 later, not only was the issue not resolved. I have to spend thousands of $ on new furniture to qualify for a new "treatment". The new vendor offered a 90 days guarantee after the final treatment, three weekly treatments and he only charged $762. Today, less than a week after the last treatment provided by Black Widow, the new exterminator found 23 bedbugs in the apartment... Stay away.

I have video footage of an LXS exterminator spraying chemicals up onto the second floor of our home right at an open window. I also have video footage of him approaching our front door, raising his fist to knock, but then deciding not to and turning around and walking to his car, getting his chemicals and then starting to spray. LXS is claiming I'm not a customer so I have no right to post a review. . If I'm not a customer then why were they spraying poison in my window????

When I called back a forth time, to ask them to come out again, and to speak in more detail about my issue, I was accused of being insulting by the party on the other end of the phone, who identified himself as the company manager. Apparently, it's insulting for a customer to question what they're being told when they simply don't understand why it's taking so long for the treatment to work, near a month, but the company manager can be as arrogant and rude as he likes. And when I asked why the exterminator didn't put on a protective suit and climb up the five feet on a ladder it would have taken to spray the chemical into the opening of the nest, he said it couldn't be done. That was the point at which our conversation took a turn and I was accused of being insulting for questioning their methods. The manager, or so he claimed to be, rudely interrupted me in a condescending tone constantly while I was speaking, but I'm supposedly insulting. At the end of the conversation I was instructed by the illustrious manager to never contact the company again for service. Great management skills (tongue in cheek). I highly recommend that you call ANYONE else but this company for your pest control needs. They are rude and unprofessional to the core. After getting off the phone with that arrogant individual, I called Terminix. That was on a Friday, they arrived and sprayed the nest the following Monday morning. Two days later the nest was dead. I hired Westex to begin with because I believe in supporting local business. But after my experience with them, I'm beginning to rethink my logic with regard to that. If I could give less than a one star review, I would. Clown show.

They asked a couple questions, laid down 6 traps in the kitchen and living room, and left. They were inside for about 10 minutes, 15 if I'm being very generous. They left Ana invoice, said we'd be billed later, and left the apartment. Weeks later, with the mouse problem completely not fixed, we got a bill for $225. What??? I called and was told yeah, that's the fee for the initial trip. If there's problems they will arrive for free and take another look. Oh, great. Another ten minute trip. Except this time, the guy who showed up was clearly annoyed he had to show up, like I was LYING about the mouse sh*t in my kitchen! He said he "didn't see anything," like I wouldn't have cleaned up the massive amounts of droppings with a dog in the house, just so he could have seen them. He checked the traps and said "they aren't taking the bait, so.." and trailed off with a shrug. He put more bait behind the fridge, and NOTHING ELSE. He left in a hurry, probably annoyed he wasn't bending me and my family over for a few hundred extra bucks. IF YOU HAVE A PEST PROBLEM, DO NOT CONTACT THIS COMPANY!! You are better off going to Home Depot, asking someone to help you find some traps, and save yourself $200. You are LITERALLY going to get the same level of service for this absolute ripoff of a company. By the way, this was last year, before the pandemic, that this occurred. Their annoyance and ridiculous pricing was before this all went down. Who knows how bad they are now. Stay away. What a rip off.

Traffic was slowly merging and it was my turn to merge. Since the Heritage pest control driver was texting, there was more than enough room to merge. However he became enraged when he finally looked up, so he swerved into the left lane next to me, got within an inch of my vehicle and began launching disgusting fountain sodas bottles at and into my car hitting me and almost my son. I rolled up the windows (it was summer) to protect myself and my kids and called the police- as we were SITTING in traffic next to him. He saw me call (probably assumed the cops) and began driving erratically through traffic and finally up the shoulder until he got off on Morlet. I was so shaken up and was unable to get his plate but I called the company and spoke to the owner who became quite defensive about the situation. The employee's behavior and the response from the owner after being physically assaulted and degraded from his nasty soda bottles is VILE. This unhinged, aggressive, explosive, attacker is the reason why I have a dash cam. I would NEVER EVER willingly bring someone like that around me or my family, let alone share my address with them. Why run from the cops if you're innocent or don't have a history? The response from the owner was appalling and disgusting which speaks as high as his morale. No wonder he hires who he hires. I'd post photos of my car but I truly fear this mentally unstable person will see.
