Nordstrom Rack

Nordstrom Rack

I took a bridesmaid dress here for alterations (shortening and taking in the dress, including where…read morethe zipper was) and was happy with the service and outcome received! The seamstress seemed kind and understanding, and the dress was ready on the exact date promised when I first came in. Thank you also for fixing a spot in the fabric that had seemingly snagged/scratched and for steaming the final product! Services were pricy (and had to be paid up front), since the dress was not from the store, but I would consider this Nordstrom Rack again with future alterations needs.

Nothing to complain about. This is your typical Rack. Good selection, decent prices. If you read…read morethe reviews, those complaining either want to return things without receipts or are part of the entitled migration from a certain state on the left most side of the country who didn't leave their pushy, rude attitudes behind. Listen up y'all, the vast majority of folks from that particular state are friendly and grateful to be here and are all in for the southern values. My sweet bride is one of them. However, it seems like those occupying Rack, seem to forget that manners matter. This is the one place I've seen people be rude to cashiers over and over again. Bless your hearts...be nice. Save your receipts and follow the rules. There's also an influx of California dudes scouring through the jeans to find the skinniest ones possible...again...leave that behind.

This place is a little off the regular path while searching for clothes but is well worth stopping…read moreat. Its a small shop but they have tons of super cute things in there (which you can preview on their website). Its a nice little collection of clothes, jewelry, shoes and more. They do get new stuff in daily so its good to check often. It may appear kind of snooty but the girls in there are incredibly nice and can help you put outfits and stuff together if you are fashion challenged like I am! Also, make sure to check out their little accessory section in the corner. They have all kinds of things like spanx and those clip things for your jeans so you can tuck them into your boots without it bunching. Small things, but they can be lifesavers to some people!

The makings of a great women's boutique are tough. Those who work there must be attentive, but not…read morepushy; the clothes must simultaneously be on-trend and classic; and the inventory can't be so voluminous that I'm wearing the same dress as all of my friends. I think Stacey Rhodes does a great job at hitting all three of these on the mark. I find myself dipping into the store during my lunch hour "just to look around" and I'm ALWAYS carrying a cute purple bag with me out of the store. A couple of tips: 1. SR has THE BEST hats for Steeplechase. This should be your go-to for a beautiful hat that will surely get you many compliments; 2. They have SALES (twice a year, I think?) that provide a great opportunity to get that fancy cocktail dress for as much as 75% off! Definitely make a point to step into this cute boutique.

La Chique Boutique

La Chique Boutique is in the old Nooks & Crannies* space…read more This store is suffering from an identity crisis; it's trying to be too many things to too many people. The good: Some very cute, on trend, under $100 dresses perfect for going out. Think thin fabric, short hemline, prints and solids, appealing to the 20 - 40 age group. Less than 5 of each style, so pretty exclusive. With the right styling, these dresses would be chic. Nice sales girls. They said "hello" and welcomed me into the store and offered assistance. The location. In the heart of Brentwood, doesn't get much easier. The bad (aka based on the style of clothes, these things are incongruous): The jewelry and accessories selection is the antithesis of chic. Really cheap looking, not even trying to be synthetic gemstones. I could go on about it, but, I don't want to be mean. The decor of the store it less sophisticated, more cutesy. If I'm buying a pretty, new dress at a boutique, I want to feel like I'm buying a pretty, new dress at a boutique... not a pink and polka-dotted pre-teen store. It's like trying to enjoy a nice steak dinner inside a fast food joint. The atmosphere of the store kind of detracts from the overall experience. Ultimately, the next time I'm home in Brentwood, if I have time, I will pop into the store to see what's new. *Oh yeah, I went there. I'm talking old school Brentwood. Anyone else remember Nooks & Crannies? Remember the big tree in the middle of the store?

Review update! This…read morecontinues to be my favorite Blush Boutique location. Through and through. The fact I don't live in state (I live 4.75 hours away on a rainy day, 4.5 on a good day) and have managed to spend probably $2k at Blush since my first visit in June 2015, should say a lot. I have been to this one, the Gulch, and the Louisville location. That's also my order of preference (see my Louisville review for more info on why that location doesn't stack up). What sets this location apart: Parking is easy. It's next to a Target in a shopping strip. The store is laid out well. It does have a TON of merchandise, but associates seem to know where everything is. The merchandising itself is better. Instead of being Charming Charlie-Esque blocks of color, things are mixed and matched. This makes sense. People don't wear blocks of color. People wear style. I love the Blush brand pieces a lot. Some are better quality than others, yes. But things are usually priced accordingly. The staff at this store is attentive, conversational, but not in a way that is aggressive, phony feeling, or anything but organic coupled with just good customer service. They also don't make you feel like a kleptomaniac in the way they offer to start a room. Never once have they treated me like a suspected shoplifter... Which is great considering I have spent so much money. That may sound like a strange thing to say, but another location definitely did make me feel that way (and I was taken aback by it) The fitting rooms in this location are better. Better lighting. Instead of a random tiny dinky nail out a wall, there are plenty of hooks to hang stuff and even a spot to set a wallet down. Fabulous. They have their bralettes right by the fitting room if you need that. This location is legit the best. Never had bad customer service. Oh and today she even asked if I was a Blush Loyalty person. Most of the time they don't since I am from out of town... and I didn't realize the couple of times people have asked for my phone number that's why... So apparently from the times it was asked, I have earned a $25 gift card from the amount spent those times I was asked. Not too shabby

It is just outside of the city itself, but all of the neat things represented in the store truly looks like it belongs in Nashville! We decided to check out this boutique, as we had received gifts from this store from our friends in Franklin. I could have bought everything in the store! I love how the store is decorated, and the theme of shabby chic is definitely evident. When you first walk in the door, there is a beautiful floating twin size bed with tons of pillows and blankets. I also loved the birds in the birdcage near the window. How unique! The prices were a little bit higher than what I wanted to pay, but if I were looking for something high-quality to give to someone as a gift, I would not hesitate. Check out their jewelry, as they had a lot of trendy, unique items! They do have a sale and clearance area upstairs. I also loved the clothes by the brand Free People upstairs on display. We only had a few minutes to spare, but I definitely could have spent more time here. I loved this store!
