I am sure Liz is a friendly and hard-working woman, however, I had a very odd experience. I went in asking for a minor hem for a bridesmaids dress, as the dress touched the ground and got stuck below my foot when I walk (pretty standard). As soon as I put the dress on, without warning, Liz reached around grabbing at my breasts and up my dress to pull my Shapewear down. I know that she was just being helpful and that she does this all day every day, but it was just a bit uncomfortable? I kept insisting that I would do it myself but she just kept at it. Then, once that off putting part was over, I told her I wanted it hemmed so you could see my toes, and she immediately said "no." I asked her why and she said I didn't need one. Although I understand that she is the expert, and I appreciated her opinion, I went there for a hem. I wanted it the tiniest bit shorter so that it wasn't dragging on the ground. She was overall a bit bossy - telling me to stand up straight and walk back-and-forth and not look down at my feet, etc. She was just very bossy and off putting. After she yet again told me "no, you don't need a hem" I was over the whole appointment so I said " well, OK then, sorry, if I wasted your time?" To which she replied "Ha, you're paying me for my time." I understand that she could have taken another person to do business with in that time slot, but she was the one that said that repeatedly expressed not doing one? So I left there with $50 less than I already had, no dress, alterations, and self-conscious about the way I walked and stood? Again, I can't speak for her work since she didn't do anything for me but my whole experience was very off-putting. Also, after having the wedding this past weekend, I can attest that I surely did need a hem because I was tripping on my dress the whole night. read more
