You have to go to larger cities to find clothing stores with alterations. And you can often find good deals online, but the alterations are your problem! My wife found 3 sharp looking pairs of slacks at L.L. Bean, albeit a bit too large for her. Suffolk made them fit perfectly with a turnaround time of just a few days. Prices are moderate. I don't expect new full service department stores in our area anytime soon. And internet shopping is here to stay. May I suggest taking advantage of your shopping finds or gifts and having Suffolk Tailor make them fit for you.

I couldn't have asked for better service and I already packed a large bag full of more items from closet to get fixed. One note: call ahead if you need to see the seamstress. My understanding is she doesn't work in the mornings or on Wednesdays, but of course, all schedules are subject to change!
