Sew Good is amazing, professional, trans* friendly and accommodating. I bought a size 36 mens' suit to wear to a wedding, and I needed it tailored WAY down to a size 32/34. They did it beautifully and in a timely manner, and made sure I was satisfied. I've also had jeans hemmed and a jeans zipper replaced. The hemming was perfect and the zipper was installed better than the original. (For real). Sew Good has great customer service and excellent craftpersonship. Their prices are competitive and completely appropriate for the high quality of work. They're also open ALL THE TIME, which makes it super easy to do business with them. Trans and nonbinary folx, please feel comfortable patronizing this establishment. They treat you with respect, refer to you without using pronouns, and are willing to do all of the alterations for AFAB bodies. read more

High quality alterations. I had a wool jacket that didn't fit anymore. Instead of it buttoning, they altered it to a bolero style jacket, updated the sleeves, and changed the entire cut of it. After not being able to wear it for years, (except on zoom....) now I have a new jacket, that I love. read more

Wonderful dry cleaner and tailor shop! We went through four mediocre and one disastrous cleaners when we moved here before we tried this great one. Beautifully cleaned and pressed clothing returned carefully hung with tissue inserted with sweaters to keep them in shape. I've also had several garments hemmed or altered here. This is the Tailor you dream about for menswear. I have been going to Sew Good ever since I entered into mens formal wear. I've been to a few other tailors in the valley and embarked on a journey to understand the practice and think more about what makes good tailoring. No short cuts here, and a commitment to craft. Sew Good understands trends, ideas, patterns, and can communicate with you about what you are trying to build when it comes to any kind of tailoring needs. I've had legs tapered, pants hemmed, sleeves shortened to the cuff length I want, and jackets suppressed. Many tailors don't want to suppress at the sides as it is much more difficult and requires a tailor who knows what they are doing. Sew Good is fortunate to have someone with expertise, knowledge, and most importantly he cares about how you look. Like anything there is cost associated, but their prices are in line with anything you would find in a major metropolitan area. Probably cheaper than some bigger markets. The point being, if you are going to spend money, then you should get it done by someone who is going to make you look great. My favorite Sew Good story is where I brought a department store off the rack suit in and then walked out with the tailoring of a Tom Ford. Always get compliments on my pieces from Sew Good. Bought two suits on-line and on sale at Macy's, one $350 suit for $50, and one $650 suit for $78. I go to the gym frequently, and always have trouble with off the rack suits fitting well. Took them to Sew Good and they tailored them for me for little money! They are perfect, and turn around time was one week-because I told them no rush. Now have two suits that look like they were custom made. Nice people, amazing service. Highly recommend them. read more

Amazing service. Been to them twice for tailoring- both gowns, both came out beautifully. The second time I came to them I had gone to someone else first- because the other place was more conveniently located to me. Forget it! The other tailor refused a job (my wedding dress) because they said it was impossible to do the alteration I was asking for. I brought it to Sew Good and they were happy to do it. They told me exactly what they'd do, how they'd do it, and they executed it beautifully. I'm very happy with the results and will continue to travel the extra distance to work with them. read more

I'm surprised by all the wonderful reviews. I did not have a good experience here. I brought in a suit for altering. The woman in front was not friendly or helpful and the tailor spoke very little English and so I could not communicate what I wanted to him. I was told that the cost to alter the top and the pants would be $95 and I asked her if she wanted a deposit and she said, "no, whole thing". I can't think of any service I've ever encountered where the entire fee was paid before any work was done. I did not like this at all. They did complete the work in the time they said they would and I returned two weeks later to try on the altered garment. I was so disappointed - the top fit terribly and it was obvious to all of us when I put it on. So they remeasured and repinned and I came back a third time to try it on. They were quick with fixing their initial mistakes and it looked alright but in the end, it was not at all what I'd hoped. It really doesn't fit well but I didn't trust them to be able to fix it and I may not even be able to wear it for the occasion I had planned. I am very disappointed and will definitely not return again. read more

Just had two dresses taken in here, and it was beautiful work. I'd been worried about one, as I knew that two new seams had to be added down the back, but they are so perfect you can barely see them. I don't think I've ever actually worn clothes that fit as perfectly as these dresses do now, it's a whole new feeling. I'm pretty tall and it can be hard to find clothes that fit well, but now that I know these folks are here I will be bringing many more things by. I also love that I just dropped in without an appointment, and they were able to start a fitting immediately. read more

I was disappointed with an alteration job I had done here. Brought in a plain black Talbots skirt to have the hips and waist taken in a bit. Conversation with the tailor was limited to his instructions: "Please put on. Please take off." He made some chalk markings on the skirt and advised me to return next week. When I came to pick up the skirt, I tried on the skirt and was surprised to find it was WAY too tight. Like streetwalker tight. I showed him the results and he did not really respond. I asked him to please redo the alteration so the garment would be suitable for professional wear. I came back a week later and tried on the 2nd result. The hips were OK now but the waist was enormous. Again no real response from the tailor. I decided to just pay for the work and leave with the ill-fitting skirt. With limited customer conversation skills and alterations based on quick chalk marks on just one side of the skirt (no pins), I will not come here again for alterations. read more

Recently stopped in for the first time. I needed a dress for a friend's wedding taken in, and they were able to take it in at multiple sites for $35. They were extremely friendly from the minute I arrived, and both the gentleman and the woman helped to determine how to alter the dress, he with the pinning, and she with the communication. He didn't speak much but had a quick genuine smile and was very precise and careful with his pins. The end result was everything I wanted and fit me perfectly. read more

They advised me on what style would look more flattering on me and even had a backdrop so I could take pictures - talk about service! I don't get all the wonderful reviews at all. My experience was terrible! The woman in front rushed me from the minute I walked in the door and she wouldn't listen to me about what I needed, just kept telling me that wasn't what I wanted. When I finally felt she had heard what I wanted she and the tailor (speaking another language) talked about it and he pinned up my outfit. I came for a fitting and it was nicely done but didn't fit properly and they had to redo it. Again, the woman rushed me and didn't listen. They charge a LOT here, more than any local tailor I've used and I really wasn't happy with the treatment or the results. Go elsewhere!! read more

The woman at the front desk was very friendly and efficient. I brought in 2 pairs of jeans to have hemmed to a 28 inch inseam, and when I got them back after trying them on, one of the pairs seemed short. I measured it, and it was only 27 inches! They obviously can't add material back on, so I'm disappointed. The craftmanship is great, though- you would never know they were shortened. So I have mixed feelings. If I go back, I will probably ask for 1/2 inch longer than I want to be sure they are long enough when I get them back! read more

Had a zipper pull and slide replaced on a vest. Dropped it off, was told to come back the next week. Zipper looked great, I was expecting a plain black slide and zipper pull. To my surprise, I was given a red slide and pull, that matched perfectly to the color red that the vest was. I paid $10 for it to be replaced, which I thought was extremely fair and affordable, considering what I would have to pay to replace the vest. Will definitely go back for other things that need to be tailored or fixed. read more

They were very helpful when I arrived. They did a fine job of laundering my shirts. The skill shown by the tailor was very impressive. I needed a watch pocket built into the vest of my tuxedo for my wedding. The tailor did not speak much English but boy can he sew! Will definitely be going back for laundry service and alterations! I'm not sure how it costed $22 to sew three patches on my uniforms - I was expecting $10 which is a general price for a basic service. Ridiculous. Not to mention he sewed the patches upside down. I would recommend this place to no one. read more

He's very good at tailoring my clothes and the only reason for the 4 stars is because he's not that great at speaking english but he makes up for that with the fantastic job on the tailoring part. He understands enough to run the shop so its not that big of a deal. read more
