It was really expensive which I was fine with but my dress was way too long still at my wedding to the point where I was stepping on it during my wedding and it actually ended up tearing. As professionals who alter dresses I was expecting that they would know what the right length was. There were other hiccups such as putting in cups in the chest area to eventually having to remove them. I tried the dress on when I went to pick it up and the chest area would not fit. I let them know that I could not wear the dress like that so they removed the cups. Overall, I am disappointed with the service I got. I bought an expensive dress, paid a lot for alterations at amazing alterations and now have a dress that is completely ruined and was difficult to wear on my wedding day due to the length.

I went to Nina last summer to get my dress done after being referred by honest in ivory. I described what I wanted, which were some very minor changes (shortening the straps, hem, and bustle). The result was not what I wanted as it made the dress lay weirdly on my bust, which I had indicated as a concern prior to the work being done. She charged me more money to then fix the mistake, making the alterations cost way more than I had budgeted for. When I had the final try on my dress it was very unflattering in the places I had expressed concern about but it was too close to my wedding day to fix it. I went home in frustrated tears. That is not how you should feel when your wedding dress (that you spent a lot of money on) is completed. I'm sure she is great at custom gowns, but she seems to have little interest in minor alterations. My friend, who was also my maid of honor, went there even after I told her this and had a very similar experience.

I was referred to this business by a friend and went in with high hopes, especially because I…read morewanted to make sure I had plenty of time to have my bridesmaid dress altered for a September 26th wedding. My first impression was actually wonderful. Cricket was very warm and friendly when I dropped my dress off on July 21st. I needed the dress let out slightly around my thighs/hips and also needed the length adjusted. Cricket explained that the length would likely be $80-$100, but recommended waiting on the length until after the sides were adjusted because changing the fit could affect the length. I paid $40 that day for the initial alteration. After nearly a month without hearing anything, I called on August 19th to check on the dress. I was told I should have been given an estimated completion date and that they do not call customers when alterations are finished. I went in on August 22nd to pick up my dress, only to find that the alteration had been done in a completely different area than what I had requested. When the dress was originally pinned, I had specifically stressed that I needed the adjustment closer to my thighs rather than higher up around my hips. Thankfully, another woman working that day immediately recognized that the alteration did not look right and could see where it needed to be corrected. She offered to redo it overnight and asked me to return the following day. I live quite a distance away, so having to repeatedly drive across town was frustrating, but I was willing to do it because I wanted the dress done correctly. I also explained that I still needed the length altered, but I had previously been told to wait on that until the fit around the hips/thighs was corrected. A few days later, I returned expecting the adjustment to have been corrected, but instead Cricket had completely opened the dress back up so we could essentially start over. At that point, I felt more confident because she was personally pinning the dress and I was able to explain exactly where I needed it taken out. However, I was then charged another $140 for the length alteration. I had originally been quoted $80-$100, but was told that because the dress had multiple layers, it would cost more. Cricket did waive the additional charge for the hip/thigh alteration since she acknowledged that the first alteration had been done incorrectly, but at this point I was already frustrated and felt I had little choice but to pay the $140 because I needed my dress completed. I was told to return September 5th to pick up the dress. Unfortunately, when I came in today, the dress was STILL too tight around my thighs and uncomfortable to move in. When I explained that it needed to be let out a little more, I was told that I needed to close my legs. No further alteration was offered. At this point, I didn't even feel comfortable leaving my dress there again. I am now just three weeks away from the wedding, have spent $180 total, and my dress still does not fit the way I originally requested. I will either have to wear it uncomfortably or spend even more money somewhere else to have it corrected so that I can actually move, sit, and dance comfortably at the wedding. unfortunately my experience was extremely disappointing. Between the miscommunication, the repeated trips across town, the incorrect alteration, the unexpected increase in the quoted price, and ultimately not having the dress altered correctly after spending $180, I cannot recommend this business based on my experience. I will not be returning for future alterations.

I went to Cloud Nine Bridal with a dress that I purchased in California and it needed to be hemmed…read moremaybe 2 inches shorter. Makayla did such an excellent and thorough job, getting me in for two separate fittings, with just weeks to go before the ceremony (out of town). She really took her time and made sure every detail was paid attention to, bustling me up to make sure everything evenly touched the ground and the train was still intact, etc. She even recorded a video of herself doing up the bustle and talking through it so I could show my maid of honor the morning of the wedding so there was no confusion. Something else that she did that I was really touched by was that she saved all the lace trimmings from the alterations and kept them in the bag with the dress. I ended up wrapping this lace around my bouquet and it matched everything so perfectly, and added a little bridal touch! Again, I was not expecting that and it just shows how she thinks of everything. Also, the cost to get it altered was extremely reasonable, which was a breath of fresh air, considering every other vendor seemingly likes to triple the cost of anything when you say the word "wedding." Altogether I was super happy with my experience and I will be recommending this place to every Idaho bride that I know.
