Altar'd State is far from my style, however, I was walking by and the scent caught my attention. I had to turn around and find out what it was. Someone working was more than happy to tell me that "Sanctuary" is the answer. Notes: Bergamot, Jasmine, Rose, and Musk. It is floral... but the good kind of floral. They have it available in sprays, diffusers, plug ins, candles, etc. She also mentioned it goes on sale quite often. I have dogs that I always have to be mindful of when introducing fragrances into the home. Have not looked into if this is a safe option yet or not. Would love if they had a version for the car. read more

Extremely disappointed today. Came into Altar'd State because I have never been and always wanted to see the cute clothes and I've heard they have friendly associates that work there that are super helpful but sadly that is far from the truth. I was not greeted upon entering the store and was given a death stare by the associate on the floor. She began to follow my every move and continue to stare and say nothing. I approached her to ask a question about I shirt I was online she then began to stare at me like I was incompetent and rudely said " if you could just look around, the shirt you are looking for is right there". Because I was so embarrassed and surprised by this reaction, I just completely left the store. Honestly would never come back just because of her. Please be warned that if you enter this Altar'd State and see a red headed woman named Laken just know she is extremely rude and will not care to give you the light of day for any questions. Made it a point to get her name and I am glad because apparently she is a manager there and now will be making it a point to try and to speak to someone about this because this is ridiculous! read more

Likely fine for people with the chosen body shape, but for a tall, thin person ~ nope. (And we're talking daughter, not me.) Lights in dressing room don't work. Best not to trust decisions made in the dark! On the plus side ~ the store smells great! read more

There is one girl who works there that is just horrible. They are usually so nice and helpful. But I've experienced her 2 times and she is so rude. Will not be shopping at this one due to her. The store had some really cute stuff to spruce up a summer wardrobe! I got a couple dresses and some cute graphic tees! The staff greeted us when we walked in and shared the deals they were offering today. They were attentive during our entire visit without being overwhelming. They noticed we had gathered a few things and offered to start a dressing room for us, which was nice that they recognized we needed one without us asking. I do recommend walking through the entire store since their inventory is spread out throughout (they don't have specific sections for dresses, shirts, shorts, etc. it's all mixed in but very organized). Lauren and Courtney made us feel comfortable and didn't rush us. Really enjoyed their casual conversation with us as we were making selections. LOVED this store!! The staff was AMAZING! Nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. This store is full of great things! From the cute to the unique in jewelry, hats, pillows, signs, jewelry, key chains, socks, and many other accessories. There were also a small selection of shoes, sunglasses, and course clothing! Not to mention It's just one of the cutest places ever. Then there's the part where a portion of their profits go to charity. Win - Win!! Found things there that were great for me and great as gifts! My first step into this boutique was greeted with a cheery "Hey, how are you" from brand rep Hannah. I was browsing for the perfect gift to bring to my girlfriends birthday and the assistant manager Kimberly helped me, a guy with no sense of style, find multiple different pieces that represented today's style and added a heartfelt touch to the gift. Their selection of everything from jewelry to clothes to decorative home pieces were all arranged in a very eye appealing manner that seemed to draw the customer in and make them want to browse around. The prices are higher as expected from a quality boutique but if you catch them during a sale you can walk out with some amazing deals! read more

I was so upset when the Altar'd State at the Brookwood Village location recently closed. This is my favorite clothing boutique, and I rarely walk out of here without a couple of cute pieces. I didn't know the Summit had a location too until just recently so I knew I had to check it out. With both locations, you walk in and there's a plethora of cute clothes and accessories. Walk past this. Go straight for the sale selection towards the back and thank me later. I always come out of that section with at least 15 things I want to try on. This time was no different lol. The only thing I don't like is that there are SO many items and so little space at this location. Your arms get a workout searching through their items. They stack them pretty high. Their sales were not as jaw dropping as they could have been on my last visit. Many times I see their clothes for less than $10, but this time the cheapest shirt was still $14 and I wasn't in love with it either so I passed on it. A lot of their dresses were $19 which is usually a happy price point for me, but again I wasn't in love with any of them in particular. Overall, it's still my favorite boutique and I will definitely come back to see what I can find. read more

Absolutely TERRIBLE! I went to the Summit location with daughter only to be followed around by a female "manager" like I was a criminal. I spoke to a male "manager " who was very condescending. These people really need to work on their customer service skills and not judge people who come to spend money. I will NEVER shop at this store again. If only I could give them a zero. read more
