Altamonte Mall is one of my favorite malls in Orlando. They have a wide array of very popular brand-name stores. They do have a couple smaller stores that have very good and hard to find quality products, such as Teavana, Yankee Candle and Things Remembered. They do have my two favorite stores, Victoria's Secret and Coach. I like the layout of the mall and parking is not usually too bad. Parking by Sears or JC Penny's is usually the way to go. read more

I'm standing here watching the entire staff turn away orders because they are in a hurry to close and leave. They didn't want to take my order at 7:50 because they were closing at 8. I placed a mobile order that they said didn't go through and then didn't want to take my order. I would never order here again. It's run by a bunch of millennials. Definitely not for me. read more

This is a great place to walk and shop. With two floors and rarely ever crowded when I have come on the week days. The weekends can be busy but that is expected and thus I stay away. The qualities of the mall and the stores have improved over the 20 years I have been visiting. Originally built in 1974, and renovated most recently in 2004 this mall has always been a great stop when driving to and from Orlando. They have the usual anchor stores and now several new stores to enjoy. The covered parking garage on the west side is great to park out of the heat and I am surprised more Florida malls do not have this. read more

Malls that throw concerts? Lol. Pretty spiffy. Circa 2000 I was here for their July 4 Red Hot and Boom concert to see Filipina group One Voice. I don't remember shopping Altamonte Mall back then, but when I went there recently, they had some really nice high end stores and plenty of people were about. I was on the search for a cute evening dress and there were so many cool stores that specialized in just that. But alas, my lunch break was over when I finally found the perfect store and I would have to continue the search closer to my friend's house in the Fashion Square Mall (sigh). read more

Remember the days when Oviedo mall was bursting with life?.....Yeah, neither can I; and the truth is that fashion square mall isn't too far behind in it's lifelessness. It's worth making the trip out here not only because of the countless stores within the mall, but you've got many good restaurants nearby like Bahama Breeze, Seasons 52, Toojays, Elephant Bar, and of course there is the very crucial fact that Cranes Roost is walking distance from this mall. So what really makes this mall so great? It would have to be the wide variety of stores ranging from places to get awesome accessories like Coach and Aldo, to technological supplies like the Apple store, and of course no mall is complete without an Auntie Anne's. There are lots of shopping plaza's nearby as well so if for some reason you can't find what you're looking for within the mall, you would only have a drive a few blocks down to see countless other stores as well. It's a bit of a long distance from where I live but it's worth the drive. read more

This was a great mom. I had all the stores I needed like forever 21 and Victoria's Secret. They also have an H & M. They have two stories and lots of food options. It's a great spot and right nearby there's a nice lake that you can walk around too. read more

This is a great mall where you could spend several hours with your family or just by yourself shopping around and sightsee. There's so many malls for different types of people and different ages. I constantly have found great deals and I have always found entertainment in the mall. Food court is filled with samples in the shop are filled with deals when it comes to clothing. read more

We all know regional malls are experiencing a slow death & Altamonte Mall is not an exception. It's been ages JC Penny closed & empty store fronts in the food court are now the norm. This is my choice of mall due to proximity & it having an Apple store. The movie theater is open as are Macy's & Dilliards. The top reason I go is it makes for an excellent indoor walking track. I manage a few miles easily in the AC with a minimal crowd during the week. Parking isn't incredibly near but it also has been readily available. No need to circle the lot like a vulture. In short it still alive & a viable shopping option. read more

Just the place for the things you can't order online. Typically I avoid the mall like the plague, especially around the holidays. However, when you need something in a pinch or just really enjoy a particular store, this mall has a great assortment of different vendors. This mall is pretty clean and looks like the owners are doing well to keep it up to date and not run down. The best part of the mall is that there is a Barnes and Noble. This is a great spot to grab a coffee and sit down with a good book. read more

Love the mall, much to see, do, buy. They have the Apple store, which has come in handy many times. It sure beats that ugly, nasty Oviedo Mall. There's not much going for them and what's crazy is the Oviedo Mall was supposed to be a high-end mall...ya, right. We REALLY love the "Seminole Towne Center" mall. read more

I haven't been to this mall in years, went to the AMC two years ago but didn't go in the mall,so I don't remember what it used to look like,so I'm not sure if they've renovated the place, but it looks pretty good, it's clean,it has cool lively shops, and pretty good food court,Even though I don't really eat at the mall food court that often, the Food court quality is one of the 3 things I rank malls, although it's all the way out by Altamonte, there are so many shops around this mall,if planned with the right humans,It could be worth the drive for a good shopping day!!! read more

Between this and the STC I would definitely choose this. It's the higher end of the two and it still has its Barns & Noble, can't beat that really. A nice mix of high end and your usual stores like Hot Topic and Bath & Body Works but no Sephora which is a bit of a bummer. read more

This mall is the furthest relevant mall north, to me, in the Orlando area. You can talk about Seminole Towne Center or Oviedo Marketplace, but they're not really fully functional. Altamonte Mall has a reasonable variety of stores in a rather (now) confined space. To me, it offers what Florida Mall offers, but without the tourists. Traffic on Altamonte Drive/S.R. 436 is just about as bad as South O.B.T. but you can always sneak in the back way from Central Avenue, coming from Longwood. I wasn't really impressed with the food court, since my favourites are long gone but Charley's Steaks make good sandwiches, even if they're not Cheese steaks like I'd had in Philly for 8 years. I miss Scotto Pizza, which was also in Granite Run Mall outside Philly when I moved to this area. Things change. Altamonte Mall adapts. read more

It's kind of dated still but they have been slowly making improvements to the mall. There's plenty of parking. Sears is going out of business soon, so that side of the mall is kind of a dead zone. read more

I think this mall covers a wide spectrum of options for many different items without having to be in the middle of a ton of tourists. I am able to hit one mall/one stop for most of my typical mall needs (Dillard's, JC Penny's, Children's Place, Build-a-Bear, Justice, Barnes and Noble, Teavanna, etc. It is clean and for my visits have not been super crowded. I prefer it over Millenia (higher end for my needs) and Florida Mall (crowded and full of tourists). read more

A low-key and easy to manage mall. Even when it's busy, it never feels overwhelmingly crowded (looking at you, Millennia). The food court is pretty standard, has a SBUX in the Barnes and Noble, and parking is easy enough. Traffic is always busy, but that's Altamonte. Feels like it's slowly beginning to decline (as all malls are, really), which makes me sad because it's my favourite hang out spot in the middle of the nasty summers. Bored on a day off? Altamonte mall. Heat index of a 125F? Altamonte mall. Cranes Roost Park is nearby and a lovely walking area. Movie theatre as well. There is often a blood donation truck by the theatre, and IIRC you get a movie ticket for donating. Nice bonus. read more

This is my go to mall for all of my shopping needs. The things I am looking for and all the one's I didn't know I needed ;) There are 4 anchor stores, an 18 screen movie theater and how can you go wrong with a mall with a wine store; Winey Wench. They have all the best stores: Michael Kors, MAC, Bath & Body Works, The Buckle, Charming Charley, H & M, Charlotte Russe, Victorias Secret, Sephora, Dillards, Macy's to name a few. Macys has a new clearance area called Backstage on the top floor with great deals from all departments, clothing, cosmetics, etc. I also appreciate a couple of snack options on the lower floor too including Le Macaron, DQ & Orange Julius. The food court options are great too. Something for everyone, even healthful options (my go to) Nature's Table. Others include a Mediterranean option, burgers & shakes, Chinese, Chick fil a, Subway and cheese steaks just to name a few. There currently isn't a sit down restaurant at the mall, but there are great restaurants around the mall if you need a break! read more

If you're looking for some bigger named retail stores but want to avoid the tourists, this mall is a decent option. It's not my favorite but gets the job done. But just be forewarned- there are all sorts of curious characters roaming around. I guess it makes for great people watching if you enjoy that sort of thing. Altamonte Mall is surprisingly busy and has lots of foot traffic. Because they have several big named department stores (like Dillards, Macy's, Sears and JCPenneys) and an AMC movie theater, they draw lots of customers in. They also have an Apple Store and a Barnes and Noble for your convenience as well as a large amount of stores catering to teenagers. I swear I haven't seen a Hot Topic or Journeys since I was in college. I am not a fan of the little kiosks throughout the mall and haven't really been hassled. But just keep on walking so that you don't get suckered in. I haven't really eaten at the food court but it's always packed whenever we are there...And there are lots of sit down restaurants on the perimeter of the mall if the food court choices don't strike your fancy. The main thing I noticed is the amount of teenagers roaming the malls...some dressed totally inappropriate that I almost wonder how they walked out of the house. That mixed with the creepy characters always makes for an interesting visit. Aside from this I wouldn't hesitate to come back if I needed to visit a particular store. read more

I always love going to this mall. There's something here for everyone! My first stop is always the Winey Wench, where Terri and Terry (the power couple running the store) go out of there way to make your drinking experience great! I also love going to the food court. They have the typical mall food, it have bed stands as well. They have a Pho stand that looks interesting and their newest addition OMG. OMG serves Brazilian street dishes and they are amazing! The pastries (can't remember the name) are like a love child between a calzone and empanada, they are a must to try! I love ending my trip with a foot massage at O'Chi and a nice cup of tea at Teavanna. Their are many things to do here, and a must for locals who want to shop away from the "tourist malls". read more

It's been years since I last was here... a good 8 at least. I was in need of some wardrobe updates, and this is pretty much the only place there is a Lane Bryant in the Orlando area anymore, so off I went on a Tuesday night. First off, I know it was a Tuesday night but, the mall had just enough people in it so that it didn't feel 'dead' but at the same time, you felt like you had the stores to yourself. And speaking of the stores, each one I went into was really well stocked. I didn't get that 'picked over' vibe, even from the sale racks! This left me somewhat stupefied, to be quite honest. I guess I'm used to going to Florida Mall where there is always a gaggle of tourists in my way, the stores are picked clean and the mall itself is well... a bit dirty. Even the Apple store wasn't crowded! Seriously! Amazing. I'm sure weekends are an entirely different story, but I tend to avoid malls on the weekend. So.. yeah. This one feels like it's farther from me (I live in SE Orlando) but it's really only a mile or two different than Florida mall. Definitely worth it. 5 big ups from me! read more

What do I like about this mall? It's not so crowded, and it does not have a lot of kiosks in the middle aisles with people accosting you and asking, "Where are you from?" I learned quickly to keep walking in malls. Geez. In general I'm not a mall person. However, the occasion may develop in which I drawn to the mall. Mainly the Apple store. There seriously are not many stores that would drive me to shop here. But it's nice and empty when I come. Plenty of walking space, and I like the maps. Yes, the maps take a minute to decipher, but once done, you'll be off in the right direction. read more

Altamonte Mall was the first shopping mall I visited when I moved to Florida in 1981. And throughout the years, I come back on occasion to either shop or just look around. Although I live in Orlando, it is worth driving here just to go to the Altamonte Mall AMC 18. So yesterday, I decided to do some shopping after going to a movie. And I am really happy to see that the Altamonte Mall is still doing well. Anchor stores with specialty stores make shopping here convenient. This place has just about anything you can think of in retail. Not only was I able to find some clothes for myself at Dilliard's, but I was able to get a gift card from PINK/Victoria's Secret for my niece's birthday. The Victoria's Secret in the Orlando Fashion Square moved out ( along with most of the other stores), so finding this location was great for me. And my niece. The food court has a great selection of eateries, and there are several restaurants located near the mall in the mall parking lot. Which is the reason I don't give the mall five stars. Driving through the parking lot here can be an adventure. With a constant flow of cars and driver's stopping in front of store locations to let passengers out, you really have to be careful when navigating your way around the mall's parking. And at Christmas time, parking here is really at a premium. But with the cinema and the variety of stores and services offered, it is worth the drive. And with the current situation concerning shopping facilities near where I live, I am more than happy to make the drive. read more

The Altamonte Mall is pretty much your typical mall... with just a dash of crazy. I've had to visit this mall a few times in the past year for Apple Store appointments, and I have to say those visits made an impression. There was a guy with the most explicit tattoos I've ever seen. (That's always fun when you're with your kids.) And a woman who forgot to wear anything under her sheer top. (My son totally blushed.) And then the woman who was either unaware of the gaping hole in the back of her pants, or thought it looked good. So, I'm not the fashion police, but I was honestly baffled by some of the people I saw walking around here. This is not a mall I would drop my kids off to hang out with their friends - there are just too many creepers. Strange people aside, this is a decent mall. I like the two-story layout and they have all of the basic mall shops. Like I mentioned, it is easier to get an Apple appointment here than the other locations in town, so that alone makes it worth the trip. read more

I've been living in Altamonte for a long time and I must say the Altamonte Mall has definitely seen some major improvements in the past few years. Recently, they have updated the movie theater from a lowly 2 theater shack into a stadium-seating multiplex, updated the stores in the mall to now include an Apple store and Coach store as well as given Cranes Roost (located behind the mall) a very sophisticated face lift. The mall includes a good mixture of high end retailers including Coach, Apple, Macy's and Mac makeup as well as mid-level retailers. The mall also boasts flavorful restaurants such as The Elephant Bar, Seasons 52, The Ale House and Bahamas Breeze. Located adjacent to the mall is Uptown Altamonte which also boasts numerous retail stores and smaller restaurants. While the Altamonte movie theater is by far my favorite, be weary of going on Friday or Saturday evenings when it is swarmed with teenagers eager to escape the house. Overall, it is a fantastic location to shop, eat, browse, see a movie or walk a couple miles at scenic Cranes Roost. read more

This is my quick go-to mall for last minute shopping and it's nice that it's conveniently near my house as well. It's not a big mall or anything, but they do have the stores that I would go in to usually. This mall doesn't get too packed but for some reason the parking can be? weird. But this mall is good, good store options, some that are more random than others.. hah, and food court is not too bad. Choices are kinda meh, but doable. But I do love that the AMC is next door and I really do enjoy that theater. Warning, if you try to come here for Red, Hot, and Boom in July. Just letting you know parking will be ridiculous! That's all :) read more

As a native of the area, I've been going to this mall since I was a kid. In the 80s, Altamonte was the vanguard for a line of new malls in the area that included Fashion Square and Florida Mall. These new malls eventually made the smaller malls (Winter Park and Colonial come to mind) obsolete. Altamonte is located in the "Uptown" area of the town of Altamonte Springs, just north of Orlando. It's a two story mall with a great selection of stores, including the standard anchor stores and a large Barnes & Noble. Other amenities include a children's play area and a food court with a great selection of different restaurants. A really nice theater and several other shops and restaurants are nearby, and the entire complex borders Crane's Roost Park, where the city of Altamonte hosts events all year. I highly recommend this mall - it's worth the drive if you don't live nearby. You've got all of the stores and features you need, but without the crowds and congestion of some of the larger malls like Florida and Millenia. read more

If a mall has an Apple store it is usually worth going to - George Washington Ever since our founding father uttered those wise words I have striven to live by that creed and it hasn't failed me yet. The Altamonte mall is in an accessible location, has a solid selection of stores, and offers a more relaxed experience then one would find at millenia. This is a mall for the "locals" and not the tourists and that makes it a go-to spot for me. read more

PROS: This is a good mall to go to with lots of shops and plenty of food/drink...as well as a theater. They also had a couple of stores for plus size women. So its something for everyone! CONS: Pretty much every store I walked into had snooty staff. At Rainbows, the cashier was very short with me and when I asked her where another store was located, she pointed in a random direction and walked off. At the candy shop, the associate was nice but everything I bought was outdated and stale. At bath and body works, I asked for a specific item and she had a tone with me and said it wasn't the right season for what I wanted and when my friend pointed something out to me, she pretty much shoved her aside and said "but this one is better." When I didn't like what she thought was "better" she got offended. We ended up leaving after only an hour. read more

When I was a wee lad in the '90s, my mom and sister talked about taking a trip out to this mall (we lived in Clermont at the time). However, I misheard them, and thought they said "Ultimate Mall." I was so pumped up for the ULTIMATE MALL, I pictured it being like 7 stories tall and having 3 arcades and a massive food court and rollercoaster rides. Still, 2 stories was impressive for me at the time, so even thought it wasn't quite as much as my expectations I still thought it was a pretty sick mall. Well, I can't say that Adult Me sees this mall as quite the Ultimate experience. It's a mall. It's got an H&M, which is nice for some basics. It's even got an F.Y.E. (Wait, they still have those?) Beyond that it's your standard affair. It's a relatively clean mall, which is probably tough to maintain given the population volume they deal with. Unfortunately, unless you live in the area, the traffic is really not worth coming out here. If you're going to drive for 45 minutes through traffic that makes you start wishing you were at home doing your taxes, you might as well go to Millenia. They have a JCrew, at least. If you want some generic mall department stores, you are probably better off going to the Oviedo Mall. The Oviedo Mall is basically a depressing ghost town, but at least you won't have to deal with the traffic of 436. And they used to have a Ben & Jerry's at the Oviedo Mall, so you can stand around asking questions like, "Hey, remember when they used to have a Ben & Jerry's here?" to absolutely no one in your vicinity. read more

The Altamonte Mall is located about 1 mile East of the intersection of I4 and SR 436/Semoran Blvd in Altamonte Springs, FL. This medium sized, two story traditional (enclosed) mall is anchored by Dillards, Macy's, Sears and JC Penny. The Ulta and Barnes and Noble both have their own exterior entrance and B&N also has a mall entrance. There are several sit down restaurants (Elephant Bar and Ruby Tuesday) along with a decent sized food court offering the usual pizza, bourbon chicken, Taco Bell, Cinnabon, cookie offerings and some healthier opens with Hovan, Subway and Natures Table. During the busier holiday shopping season (Nov/Dec) several seasonal kiosks will pop up on both upper and lower levels with a variety of extra seasonal gifty goodness. There is a good mix of regular (Limited, Bath and Body Works, Body Shop, Gap) and upscale (Brighton, Coach) shops as well is a nice sized Apple store. A small Sephora recently opened in the JC Penny's on the upper level. The Macy's here is decent and does offer a full bridal/wedding department. The front mall parking lot bordering SR 436 shares space with the Sears Auto, Season's 52, Bahama Breeze and Orlando Ale House, so parking can be challenging in the front lots during prime shopping and dining hours. Take a breath and be watchful! read more

Totally biased review: I live within walking distance of this mall, so it immediately earns extra points for being easily accessible. Combined with the Mac store, an ADORABLE little gift and clothing store right next to the Mac store (cannot remember the name for the life of me, but it's just too sweet), a great big open-late Barnes and Nobles, my stylist at Regis, Macy's, Ulta, Coach, Guess, Bebe, White House/Black Market and Buckle.. well.. let's just say it's pretty damn rare that I need to venture to any other mall. I've heard an H&M is going where New York & Co., used to be. It remains to be seen, but once that happens I'll probably only journey to Florida Mall once a year. read more

Love the Altamonte Mall :) best mall ever ! Super cozy and well put ! Love shopping there

Although the Fashion Square mall is closer to me, the Altamonte Mall is always my first choice. With the decline of stores in Fashion Square (it's starting to look more like the Magic Mall) and the addition of Barnes & Noble, AMC, Ulta, The Elephant Bar and more upscale stores, such as Coach, Bebe and Apple, there really is no comparison. There is plenty of parking at Altamonte Mall and it's never packed, so the foot traffic has a good flow. A short walk to Crane's Roost or Uptown Altamonte and you could easily spend a whole day in this area. The Florida Mall and Mall at Millenia are great, but if you want to avoid, the crowds, tourists and traffic, the Altamonte Mall is the place to go. read more

I just realized that there is a Police office on the lower floor of the mall. That, to me, is a great resource for any mall to have and yet I've rarely seen one.
