    So, I rented a privately owned condo in a building managed by AIM for nearly six years. It was…read morequiet when I moved in but I soon realized what a mistake it had been moving there. The problems: -psychotic neighbours that had parties all hours of the night and threatened to cut my throat. Police were called multiple times. -mailboxes broken into on an almost weekly basis. The front door had to be locked 24/7. -druggies would break in through the locked door and use the front entrance to recover from their night out. Found many men sleeping in the front entrance. Did not feel safe. -many times came home at night to find lights burned out. Calls to AIM's office were not returned. It would take several days to get the bulbs replaced. Sorry for wanting a safe building to live in. -the building was run down and poorly maintained. -snow and ice removal non-existent. It took, my condo owners and another condo owner to fight to have the board hire external caretakers for the snow and ice. I had a bad fall one winter in the parking lot. -fought with the building and the city to have the ice cleared from the garbage bins But the worst, and I mean the worst.... 1. The heat would ALWAYS go out for about a week in the coldest month of the year. Usually January - February when it was -40. 2. The hot water tank would stop working and you'd have zero hot water for days on end. No communication either. 3. Random power outages in the units. And the MICE. Oh my god, the mice! They were everywhere. I had complained for three years and threatened to call AHS before action was finally taken to inspect the unit. They were coming in from the main floor storage unit! They were EVERYWHERE! I still have trauma and expect to see a mouse crawl next to my foot. I had to kill a few and trap many - it was disgusting. This company does not take any responsibility for mismanagement. They constantly sent out invoices to the wrong units. They charged our unit for work that was done on another unit. I just found an email thread about work a contractor had done that left holes in the wall and took MONTHS to repair. Honestly, I think AIM might be right there with Mainstreet. Just avoid! So much stress! I'm sharing pictures now because the company has ignored messages and reviews on Google.

I've been harassed, and have had my tenant rights breached MULTIPLE times. The landlord and building manager entered my unit the day after the scheduled inspection and intimidated my babysitter that was home with my sick child. She brings her emotional support dog with her to babysit, which was approved by the previous landlord and they are trying to tell me I breached my lease because the new landlord hasn't approved it, this is after they tried to withdraw unauthorized money from my account and attempted to withdraw rent after I had already paid by cheque. This put me me in arrears for my car insurance and double nsf's, which I ultimately had to end up paying out because of this. The breach letters come after their little attempts. They gave me a breach noice saying I didn't have my PAD on file, the day after they tried to take a random amount from my account, and I got a breach noice for my sitter the day after they illegally entered my unit:. This is full blown harassment and very unprofessional. They say I'm in arrears but won't say what for lol??? All my rent payments are up to date ‍ We are also survivors of domestic abuse and this building is one location our abuser can't access and now has been made unsafe by the landlord and manager. I was also given a bill for common area carpet cleaning after helping an elderly gentlemen move out of the building because he had bags in the hallway. The landlord graciously told me that you guys can't charge us for things like that, so that's one decent things she's done. I also disclosed my sensative situation with the landlord, and ever since, I've been harassed with breaches, and they've breached my human rights as I believe this is discrimination to my situation. I'm assuming it's there way of getting me to move out, but that's not going to happen since this is our safe house and I'm not doing anything wrong. Imagine being a mom and a landlord and doing this to another mom with young children who are trying to live a safe and happy life. It's evil actually. I reported the breaches to the building manager and submitted my formal notice that I am escalating this matter for damages, I also asked for upper management and it's been declined by the building manager , so I apologize I messaged on every social media platform, but I think the owners would like to know of the illegal activities going on at Westview Manor Building C and the fact that these 2 individuals are leaving serious marks on Braden's reputation, there is several Facebook posts about this building alone. I think it's only fair they are warned with the truth.
