I received a 22hr notice of a showing (Thursday). We had just moved out and I had yet to complete the final clean of the property. I felt this was important so I decided to stay behind and miss my holiday with my family (Long weekend) to ensure this home was is pristine condition as carrying 2 mortgages is not financially recommended(as you can imagine) so finally getting this thing rented was a top priority.. I watched Family leave that morning, I was feeling sorry for myself but I was really happy they were still going. They really do deserve a break. I caught a ride with my Dad to the rental property and spent all-day and $300 cleaning and painting so it would be nice for viewing. I waited until the showing time as I wanted to ask Casawise Viewing Agent a few questions regarding curb appeal. The viewing was at 4:30. At 4:55, Still..no one had showed up (was it the traffic excuse again?). I sent an email to the Viewing Agent (During Business Hours) for a follow up and was met with an....(drum roll) Out of Office Reply for the Long Weekend. With my eyes crossed in utter disbelief, I called their office at 5:01.. Answering machine (we're closed sucka!). So, as we only have one vehicle, I was not going to drag my wife and kids back from their camping trip to come and pick my butt up so I could join them (6hr return trip). So after wondering how I could be so stupid as to let people (I paid $500) put me in the position they did. I did what many people would do in my shoes..I wrote a nasty email from my phone . And here it is.. (ahem) "What the actual Fu@k!? No show (again) and not even a phone call to tell me? I spent all day and $300 fu@king dollars to clean this place so it would show nice and all I get is an out of office reply!? Enjoy your long fu@king weekend".End quote...For the record, I used the actual F-word. No reply that day. Not surprising there. Probably enjoying their long weekend with their families.. So, I packed up and caught a ride to an empty home. After a couple of beers I decided to try and enjoy my weekend (by myself) by passing the time unpacking toys. No Netflix (so sad..). I did have a wonderful time looking at pictures on FB of my kids enjoying the lake, especially my oldest who has Autism, as the last few months have been especially challenging for him. Seeing him smile, made me smile.. Anyway.. back to my review..Tuesday rolls around and by 8:00am, I already have 100 things to do (We just moved!)My family is home and we are trying to find a new normal.. I actually forgot (briefly) about my totally amazing weekend and the cause of it until I received a reply from the head millennial at Casawise telling me how appalled he was and how much their feelings were hurt by the F words in my email and they were terminating the service agreement effective immediately (NO REFUNDS)..Not surprising. So, here I am 47 days later, $500 lighter, my house keys in the void called Canada Post, 2 mortgages + utilities and I've had to start all over again looking for PMC that operates in the Edmonton area. I would have the float the property another 2-3 months but, I'm in for the long game anyway. Christmas will be tight but, at least we will all be together. I was actually willing to let it all go..Easy right? Wrong.. I've reached out to a couple of other PMC in Edmonton and.. Crickets.. No one wanted to take me on as a paying customer..Yep, I was Blacklisted. It will probably get me a brick through my window just for writing this review but..that what insurance is for. It should be easy to fund two homes on a single income..I know, I know..First world problems.. Anyhoo, If there is one thing I learned is, If a Viewing Agent wants to show your property going into the long weekend, take a pass..
