Cardamom tea is really good!
Melinda L.

A really cozy restaurant with a nice staff and owners. You wouldn't expect great food and service altogether in one place, but they've got it here. Everyone is courteous and you'll enjoy anything you order here. Got to try out Alsham with a group, and I gotta say, it all looked good and was tasty. I ordered the Falafel Wrap, which was just delicious, and it came with a flavorful sauce and the pickled sides. I was satisfied after having those bites! And...you gotta try their cardemom tea, it will really make your meal even more enjoyable. So, a great place for all your Mediterranean cravings! Will have to come back to try their kababs. Yum!

This place is amazing! The owner is very friendly and gave us exceptional service. The chicken, lamb and beef kabobs were very moist and tasty. We frequent lots of Mediterranean restaurants and Alsham is definitely our favorite.

Clean. Friendly. Easy parking. Variety of menu. Family touch. Tasty food. They deserve our support and it was so good that I will be returning.

This was my first time ordering from this place, and I have to say it was disappointing. The falafel were half cooked (see pic) and chewy, the Lamb Mandi was mediocre at best, and to top it off, they gave me half a piece of pita bread . I have never experienced that. The service was unwelcoming, and they confused me with a door dash driver . I had to tell them that I ordered directly on their website. I have to say that their website experience was good, but everything else was subpar. Needless to say, there will not be a second time

Great place for housemade mediterranian food in Covina! The restaurant has great lighting at night which was rare and I love it. Food was well cooked and used good quality ingredients. They were a bit too salty overall but still delicious and wouldn't ruin everything. They give generous meat that match up for the price they charge. Perfect for family or friends gathering because you can share multiple dishes!

Saturday, NOVEMBER 5th, 2022 A friend recommended this place to us, she told us the food was amazing! We thought we need to check this place out! First, they are overly priced! Secondly, there food has no flavor. We ordered Arayes and from the picture that was in the Menu Book looked amazing but when it came out, was nothing like it at all. It was so bland too! My Husband ordered chicken shawarma wrap but literally did not taste nothing like chicken shawarma had no salt nor spices in it. Place inside was very nice but food not so great!

Lemon and mint crushed Ice smoothie very good.

Always happy with our food. This place never lets us down. Not only are they welcoming but also very friendly. The price is somewhat high but that's because the quality of food is outstanding. They don't skimp on portions either. As you can see from the pictures the presentation is beautiful and flavorful. Alsham nails it every time. If you're looking for middle eastern food for 2 or a party of 50 Alsham is where it's at. The best of the best in Corona.

Falafel plate

Service was excellent and the food was delicious and fresh! Portions were large and the waiter provided us with lemon water and tea.

HORRIBLE AND DISGUSTING! We threw it away mansaf & Maqlouba!

Food was just meh. Found the kababs to be dry and kind of bland. Also, not a good value. Definitely on the pricier side for what you get.

We ordered this for lunch today. The kids were sick & we just didn't have the energy to go get food…read more& found this place on DoorDash. It was nice knowing we could get this delivered. The food arrived still hot & packed nicely. It looked amazing and smelt so good. We got the rice platter, which has different choices of meat they offer. We got the lamb & chicken platter, which has the meat over rice with lettuce topped with cucumber & tomatoes. Sauce can be requested on the side so we got the white and green sauce on the side since we weren't sure of the spice level in the sauce. The white sauce is good and subtle flavor and the green sauce was good as well and had a kick to it which was really nice when mixed in with the white sauce. I recommend that if you like spicy food. If not, just stick to the white sauce. The meat was tender & flavorful. I wish they added more cucumber & tomatoes on top of the lettuce. The amount we did get was good and refreshing with the lettuce provided. Definitely will eat this again & make it there in person to check out the vibes.

I ordered the beef kabab gyro and seasoned fries. Total came out to $22.26 after taxes, plus a $2.70 tip. Staff were friendly, the dining area was clean, and although no one was dining in at the time, there were plenty of pickup orders coming through. Unfortunately, the food simply sucked and I didn't even finish. The fries tasted like they were cooked in old oil -- you could tell by the dark coloring and overall taste. The gyro was small, expensive for the portion and quality, and the taste was just okay at best. I believe this is a franchise, but I personally won't be trying it again. Let's just say I was upset that I had not gone to the Jack in the Box in the same plaza instead -- and that's not something I'd normally choose to eat.

Kids, in general, love chicken, be it wings or tenders. And let's not forget the fries. So…read morenaturally, we look for places like this. We have two hungry, fast growing munchkins who come to Grandma and Grandpa's house after school sometimes. It's so much easier than cooking. This place has evolved over the years. It's not just chicken anymore. Regrettably, almost everything here is fried, but they are expanding their menu to appeal to a bigger audience, including fried or steamed seafood, burgers, and a couple Middle Eastern selections. While most items are not exactly healthy, the one nice aspect is to have choices of how big you want to make your order of fried whatevers. So we got 6 tenders to make sure the hungry boy would manage to live until dinnertime. Our dainty granddaughter chose a fried shrimp plate, and two gyro wraps were for us two adults. It was all good. The tenders were moist and fairly big, and got a major thumbs up, the shrimp were beautifully plump with a light crispy coating, and the gyros meat was a nice surprise, not the rectangular, cookies cutter meat slices that come from a big food supplier. This gyro meat seemed more authentic. It came in chunks and had a nice herbal profile. They each came with a big pile of French fries. The hollow legged little people were appeased and very happy. This is a small operation. Plan on waiting a bit longer than the ubiquitous fast food joints. In all, I think you will be pleasantly surprised, just as I was.

My first time trying Bangladeshi food. Friendly and helpful owner...he answered my questions about…read morethe food and even threw a little something extra sample of one of the desserts. I tried the breakfast combo with the paratha/roti, omelette, aloo, chana, and tea. A little spicy for me (but I'm rather soft when it comes to spiciness), but I really enjoyed the corn, potatoes, and roti (especially). And the tea was fine without sugar. I will def return when I am in the area! I thought that I had taken a photo, but apparently I didn't.

I came in with high expectations based on the glowing reviews. When I came in around 5 pm Friday, I…read morewaited a few minutes before someone came from the back to take my order. My food came out 15 minutes after ordering and was piping hot. I was excited to see my food made to order. Portion size 2/5: At first glance, it looked like a ton of food. However, there was only 4 small pieces of chicken in the chicken curry, a decent amount of potatoes and cauliflower in the mixed vegetables, and 80% of the plate was rice. After finishing the curry, I had 50% of my rice left. For $14.99 before tax, I did think the meal wasn't worth the price based on the quantity. Mossoor dal, 4/5: A lentil soup. Initially I drank it piping hot and thought it was too watery and flavorless. But once I let it cool down, I started gulping and got hit with a flavor bomb of spices, lentils, onions. This was the part of the combo. Rice, 2/5: The rice wasn't seasoned with any flavorings or fats. Since it's meant to be eaten with the curry I didn't mind the lack of flavor too much. However, the rice wasn't firm but a bit soft. Thankfully the rice wasn't mushy. But eating the rice alone was a boring experience. Mixed vegetables curry 3/5: As mentioned earlier, it was a mix of potatoes and cauliflower. It was seasoned well with the spices, but the flavor isn't what I would call complex. The curry was also fairly oily. The potatoes were soft and a bit creamy, and the cauliflower was firm. A nice mix of textures, and I concluded this curry was in the middle of the road compared to other places I had. Chicken curry, 0/5: Unfortunately, the chicken itself had no flavor. Despite using dark meat, it tasted as if it was simply boiled in hot water and had zero seasoning. The chicken tasted as if it was coated with oil (which will make sense in a bit), leaving in an unpleasant after taste of oil surrounding my tongue. The curry was even worse. The curry looked to be 50% oil, 50% curry solids and tasted even worse. It tasted like vegetable oil; no flavor at all. Maybe just a semblance of spice. Even when I tried to drain the oil out from my spoon, I tasted barely anything but heat. I hate wasting food, but I contemplated in throwing it away in disgust. Overall, I would had given this place a 1 star review for the chicken curry alone. However, the soup barely saves the meal, and I bumped it to 2 stars as a result.
