I usually mow my own lawn, but I recently fractured my hip and the grass was getting real long. I was in a pickle. I called Al's and they agreed to mow my lawn. They arrived within the hour and took care of the problem. I will use them until I'm well enough to mow my own. They could have taken advantage of my situation but didn't. read more

We came to the Cushing Park with our family on a Saturday afternoon to enjoy some peace, fresh air, and nature, as many other families and visitors do on the weekend. Unfortunately, the landscaping crew completely disregarded the people using the park. They were driving large lawn mowers at high speed directly next to people and families, creating an excessive amount of noise and kicking up large clouds of dust. They continued working right next to us without making any effort to slow down or give park visitors some space. The amount of dust was so bad that I could actually feel it in my throat. We eventually had to pack up our things and move to another area of the park just to get away from the noise and dust. A few minutes later, the crew followed us to that area as well, and we ultimately had no choice but to leave the park entirely. I understand that landscaping work needs to be done, but there should be some consideration for families and other people who are using a public park, especially on a busy Saturday afternoon. read more

I have stopped using them and they park on my front lawn to service the neighbor. I guess they aren't tossing the clippings on my property any longer. read more

They are awful. Terrible service! Do not use them! All they do is blow the leaves around to other yards!!!

Not a customer but my neighbors are. When they cut the lawn they don't put a grass catcher on the mower. It gets blown into my garden bed and makes weeds. They have dug up my perennials and shrubs. When I confronted the one guy who knows English he tells me they will take care of it. NO THEY DO NOT. The person in the office will only tell me that its my fault and they own me nothing. This spring I confronted them when they blew leaves into my yard then came on to my property and began to trample all the plants in my garden. One guy began telling me where my property line was. Uh, nope! He then walked back to my neighbors side and walked up a way and came back onto my property and began walking through an area where my day lilies were just coming up. I went and called the police who came quickly and reviewed my issue and I showed them video of them blowing debris on to my property. Next time they will be arrested. NOW they are video taping my house from all sides and stalking and video taping me cleaning up leaves in my backyard. Bet they don't know my wife is an attorney. So I took a look at the 5-star ratings. About 50% of them are not even in their operating area and some not even in MA. lol read more

Al's just serviced the apartment complex I live in and did an outstanding job. They mowed, thatched, hauled it all away. I can't stop looking out the window the lawn has never been so healthy and green! read more

We had a row of hemlocks that had become unruly. We had Al's trim them. They did a great job! We will definitely use Al's again!

Very responsive, timely and reasonably priced. Maria has been great to work with, is personable and knows our street and the community very well. Beyond grateful for how quickly her Team was able to come out to our home for our first fall clean-up. Would highly recommend Al's Landscaping to any of our neighbors and friends. Thank you, thank you! read more

Great service. They did run over my montauk Daisy I had just planted. But they did need a path to get to the back yard. So I'm okay with it. They run over the same plant every week. So it's not like they are doing increasing damage. read more

Classic case of "you get what you pay for ". They are the cheapest but when I hired them to edge my garden beds they instead blew all the mulch out of the beds into the lawn. When I complained about it they said it was my fault!? They ignored me from there and made no attempt to resolve it even after I suggested they simply run a bagging mower over it to pick up some of the mulch chips. They could care less about your satisfaction or your property. read more

These guys do our whole cul-de-sac. Yesterday at the end of the day, I saw a worker urinate into a plastic water bottle, then throw the bottle (full of urine) into a bush in my yard and drive away. The next time they were on our street I gave the bottle right back to them. No apology, no recognition that they did anything wrong. Totally unprofessional and unacceptable. read more

I wish could give -10 These landscapers don't put blade down when cutting lawn. When doing yard cleanup they blow leaves into the street and leave them. They double charge services. They are awful read more

They piles leaves into the street and then leave it there overnight blocking the road and blowing all over the place.

If you are just looking for a fast, cheap lawn mowing service then you will get that with Al's - but nothing more. Despite multiple phone calls and requests for additional services (weeding, tree/shrub trimming, mowing around fruit trees, landscaping for a playground, etc) nothing ever got done. Patches of lawn would be missed each week. Was unwilling to wait when my house looked like a jungle come mid-July. Found a new landscaper that was happy to take on a year-round service request from us. read more

They are a great, professional and reliable crew!! We've been happy customers for 5+ years.

Very reliable company- only downside is that they mowed over my flowers many times and broke a couple lights on my driveway. They do a great job, very responsive and consistent! They also do fall cleanup, definitely recommend! read more

Al's Landscaping, Ronaldo, specifically, (and his crew) did a beautiful job hardscaping underneath my deck. He was super helpful with advice and ideas before starting, and dealt with the slope (and the need to deal with water run-off) superbly. The more he talked, the more I knew he was the right person for this job. He told me when he would start, how long it would take and met and then exceeded every expectation. He redid my back cement staircase (going from the basement to the back yard) which had decayed over the decades. He also went above and beyond and removed some piles of dirt and extra rocks that were hanging around in my yard from other projects. They were professional, courteous, and the craftmanship is exquisite. Reasonably priced. Very happy, would recommend to anyone. read more

Good company they did a brush cleanup and mulching for us in Framingham in 2019 . They were at the neighbors so I asked them for a quote . Decent guys would definitely recommend them and use them again. Thanks read more

We have been using Al's for fall cleanup for several years. They always do an excellent job at a reasonable price.

I've been using Al's Landscaping for lawn service for the past 4 years, and I couldn't be happier with them. I have gotten weekly mowing services as well as fertilizer treatments, and have also used them for bush and stump removal as well as a spring clean up this year. His lawn care team is reliable and does a great job making my property look clean, tidy, and beautiful. I have always found them to be reasonably priced, and I greatly appreciate the straightforward, honest manner in which Al conducts his business. With all the proposals they have done for me I have never felt at all like their is a fluffy sales pitch involved, but rather that I have gotten advice from an expert on what will make my yard look it's best. I make a point to recommend Al's Landscaping to friends and co-workers verbally whenever the opportunity arises, so I'm very happy to also be able to write one for a larger audience here on Yelp as I would love to contribute to a business like his thriving for a long time. read more

So let's start on the none of the workers speak a single word of English. So trying to communicate with them is simply impossible. You can call the office and hope that someone will call you back but highly unlikely. I became highly proficient in hand gestures during the two years that they mowed my lawn. Granted landscaping is not a highly technical skill but these guys seem to mess it up. This company is all about quantity, do the job as fast as possible. read more

Impossible to get a hold of anyone. No one returns messages or requests for estimates. Too bad, I'd imagine lots of business being left on the table. read more

I was looking to write a review or recommendation for Al's because they always do such a great job on my yard. I couldn't find a facebook page but thought I would take a look at Yelp. I read through some of the one star reviews and wondered if they were valid. I have had nothing but GREAT service, professionalism and work done by Al and his employees. They just left my house and my beds were quite a mess...so neglected this year due to my busy schedule. I am so grateful for all their hard work! My place looks amazing!!!! All the guys are super nice and take care with my flowers. They clearly understood what needs trimming and what doesn't and really am so impressed with the work. Thank you! So happy to have Al and his team work on my place. :) read more

Called needing someone to mow my lawn, I mean, they're a landscaping company, right?!? They (a guy, possibly the owner) gave me a hard time, transferred me to a female secretary who advised that someone would be over to my property the next day and they would call me with a quote. I waited a week, then 2, no quote, no call, nothing!! I went with Kalamatis Lawn. They were quick, fair and did a super job within days. Go with them instead! You'll be glad you did. read more

Al's came very highly recommended to us but I think perhaps they took on more business than they could handle. For three years we waited and waited to get our leaves picked up and it was December before it finally happened. This year we finally gave up and went elsewhere, and they came out and did it in a day. For the last two years when they finally showed up they did a fine job, but by then it was almost too late. read more

So its a low cost landscaper. They use low cost immigrant workers and cannot speak your language. Why do you want to talk to them anyway ? Call the office. Ive had them for many years since my tractor died.Im a dIY guy but cant avoid thier great price and time saved on the weekends. They will cut right through droughts which is why Im not at 5 stars. But it is part of the overall season contracts and I can accept that they have to pay their workers. They also cut a bit lower than my liking I love a thicker carpet. Gonna try to rectify that this season. read more

Best landscaping company I've hired in years!! The yard is always beautiful thanks to Al's Landscaping. Professional, courteous, and excellent at what they do- I highly recommend Al's if you want professional, knowledgeable care for your home. Their stone work is amazing!! They have handled several projects in my area and the results are GORGEOUS!! If you want care free service- Al's is the company to call. Als has provided me lawn care for the last 5 years. Always helpful, honest, reliable and courteous. They don't over sell things you don't need but provide exactly what you do need in a timely fashion. The crew men are polite and hard working and the owner is very dedicated and hands on. Maria in the office is always so helpful and thoughtful- direct and I like that. I have nothing but good things to say and would be happy to have their services for the next 20 years but I'm selling my house in their service area. I will highly recommend them to the new owners! read more

Total crap. One goat would do a better job than this company has done in 2 years. Our grass is at least 10 inches high right now with no response from the company when our HOA fees pay for it. read more

Reliable, courteous and professional. They have been taking care of our lawn for the past summer. They come in quick, close the gate and are out. I have them here now for fall cleanup. Great job!!! read more

I've used Al's for the past several years and in the beginning everything was great. But the last year and a half things have significantly deteriorated. The snow removal guy (I was told he was new) repeatedly dug up my driveway despite markers along the whole length. Al himself came out and fixed it once which I really appreciated. Often it was 36 hours after a storm before anyone plowed me out. Their spring service was not worth it. While they thatched and aerated the lawn, no edging was done.Last fall I asked them to aggressively trim my shrubs and barely anything was cut off. They simply shaped them. Sometimes they mow the lawn 5 days apart and you can hardly tell anything was done. No weed wacking except the very first couple of mows in the spring. It seems every service has been cheapened and shortened and they are only doing the bare minimum to keep billing you. The last straw was one of their employees trying to run down my scared dog in the backyard. I rushed out to call her in when I heard the mower but by the time he even noticed me he had already chased her into the back yard. She was shaking and I had to carry her in the house. I was appalled that that would happen. I called to complain and cancel my service and their return call only said they received my call and took me off their list - no apology for his behavior at all. After the last several incidents, I'm all done. Moving onto a different service now. read more

I tried them for my business and they were awful! I called and left information with someone including a couple specific requests (small ones but important to me). I was never called for an appt and one day i received a bill . I called them and they said they were here and i never saw them. It took a lot of looking and around to see any sign of them and it took a while. They did not even pay attention to the 1 small request i made. Now they work in my neighborhood in a common area and they are also terrible. The workers just don't care and they laze around. I refuse to pay into the pool that pays them. They stink read more
