We had a great experience with Al's carpets. They recommended the perfect flooring for our home with the best advice of what would look better- etc dark vs. light. They installed our choice of luxury vinyl plank with high quality workmanship, also being quite on schedule and efficient. Steve (AL's son) did the whole downstairs and an upstairs bathroom in only 3.5 days on his own! He was more knowledgeable and much more reasonably priced than the other contractors we got estimates from. They are also very nice and easy to get along with. We highly recommend Al's for all your flooring needs! read more

Al from Al's carpets to our house to give us a price to replace our kitchen floor. He brought out plenty of samples to look at after we decided on the type of flooring we wanted he measured the kitchen and gave us a good price. Two weeks later his crew came out and installed our new floor. They took all COVID protection. The installation went well The men who installed the floor were very professional and very friendly. They took their time and explained what they were going to do. After the installation was completed they up and left with everything looking better than when they showed up. Definitely would recommend them. read more

We needed to replace the carpet in my townhouse, I called Al, he came out within the hour, we selected a color and the next week it was installed. If your looking for a local carpet guy, Al is the one to call. His employees did a great job and cleaned up after. Great experience! read more

Illegally entered my premises on behalf of landlord who took early possession of my home when I moved. Post-dated his work receipt to say work was later than performed even though we have record of their participation in landlord's illegal possession. When I called to get information of whether they were aware of their participation in illegal entry they never responded. Unfortunately now to be named as a co-defendant in suit, and their lack of response shows extreme guilt. read more

I have used AL's Carpets over the years and I find them to a good value with great responsive service. They have always taken good care of the house and make sure it done with care. read more

I wanted to replace carpet with laminate, Al came by with samples. I was looking for two bids, for the LR/DR and for the 3 BRs, which he provided, ad also provided a total for everything. I had the entire house done, plus new baseboards in the BRs; his son Steve did it all himself! His work is superb, he even molded the surround around the fireplace to match the outline of the stone. He helped move furniture, and located some unknown (and not working) phone jacks, which he removed for me. He went the extra mile, and he's very nice. Thank you, Al and Steve! read more

Prompt and professional. Al came over with some samples and gave us a quote. We set a date for the installation of the laminate floor with baseboards for the shed/room. Steve was amazingly efficient and the room looks great with the newly installed floor. Thank you, Al and Steve read more

Al's Carpets - Carpeting Near Me - Pacifica, California

I have used Al several times because I heard about his great reputation. He is honest, hardworking and very reliable.

Boardwalk Investments is a professional Property Management Company located in San Bruno, CA; managing residential properties in San Francisco and throughout the Peninsula. We love working with local vendors like Al's Carpets. Al was tremendously responsive and flexible while working with us to clean up a flood and replace the carpet in a rental. We appreciate how courteous he was with our tenant! We are actually calling him right now to schedule carpet replacement for another property! read more

I had one front bedroom that needed the carpet replaced, i selected a looped berber. Darker than the rest of new berber carpet. Steve & Manny arrived 10min early and got right to work. They showed me what was underneath (no hardwoods, but 50's standard tiles) and explained what material the original flooring was, and areas that looked like there had been leaks or water damage - advised i pay attn come winter rains; they patched areas were tiles were missing (ensures even and level-ness). Worked steadily, cleaned up and vacuumed. They were done in about 2hrs. Great service, very pleased with result! read more

Just had Al's Carpets do our home carpeting. Al and son Steve are great to work with. They were professional but friendly and helpful with suggestions and advice. Fantastic job from quote to clean up. I had two bathroom linoleum floors replaced. Not only was the bid the most reasonable, the work was done so well. Little touches, like grate replacements coving done perfectly...and nicely cleaned up afterward. Great job, extremely satisfied. read more

Al has been taking care of my properties for over 15 years. Excellent work, great team!

We moved to Pacifica from Boston and had to coordinate the installation of carpeting in our new condo via long distance. Al was professional, helpful in finding the carpet we wanted and worked with us on our modest budget and very tight schedule. He worked beautifully with our painter and the installation was perfect! I would not hesitate to recommend Al's Carpets to anyone who is planning a floor covering project in Pacifica, CA! read more

Al helped us pick out the perfect carpet to match our wall, tile and trim color. He ordered it and installed it on time as promised. Our closet had a complicated installation situation and his son, who did the install, solved the problem and made it look primo! You won't go wrong with Al Carpets doing your carpet or floor install. read more

An outstanding company! I looked on Checkbook Bay Area when I was ready to redo the wall to wall carpet and bathroom floors in my house. Al's Carpets was one of the two highest rated companies for price and installation satisfaction. Al's son does the installation, and he does a wonderful job. I needed one room carpeted right away, and then it was several weeks before the painters were through, and he was very accommodating about having to split the job. The vinyl on the bathroom floors was equally well done. Excellent customer service, good price, quality work. You won't get that at a big box store. I have only the highest recommendations. read more

I contacted Al's Carpets after receiving a referral from my realtor. Wanted to work with a local company vs. a big box store for my laminate flooring. Al came out and provided a competitive estimate based on installation of laminate flooring. He explained the different types of laminate and particularly sound deadening underlayerment. Al and his crew were able to put in the floors in 48 hours. He was able to correct an issue with the floor that the previous carpet pad had hidden. My condo looks fantastic and the work is superb! If you want excellent service, total experience with all types of flooring, go with Al's Carpets! read more

I have laminate flooring in my kitchen. I created a rather large divot in the flooring when I dropped a heavy object that landed, pointy end into the floor. I had a couple extra pieces that I hoped could be substituted. Al's son came, and was able to repair the damage without having to pull up the broken piece and replace it. I know where the damage was, but I cannot see it when standing up, and have to get within inches to find it--not that I am likely to do that. I never thought repair was possible, but they did a great job, and I still have my replacement pieces in case I need them at a later damage. Oh, did I mention that the charge was more than reasonable? I am thoroughly pleased, and recommend Al's whole heartedly. read more

I can't really say whether they do a good job installing because after Al came over to measure and give me an estimate ( he spent an hour here talking about his life in Pacifica), he left saying that he would call to come back with more samples for our kitchen floor. It's been a week and I haven't heard from him at all! What kind of customer service is that? Anyway, we will be using Floor Craft in SF. They have been helpful, the showroom and selection is huge and have been responsive. They actually want our business. I definitely won't be calling Al's when we need carpet. read more

Al was great to work with and delivered as promise. Excellent customer service. Highly recommend.

Update: Carpet was installed a couple of months ago and I have had a squeak that won't go away. I called Al and he sent his team over to check it out. They did their best to get rid of the squeak and reduced the sound quite a bit. They even told me that the root of the problem was the heater installation. Thanks for following through with the customer service! read more

We chose Al's Carpets because of a small bathroom linoleum they replaced. This time we put in vinyl tile in living area and kitchen. Al and Steve were fantastic from beginning to end. Knowledgeable, thorough, precise. So easy to work with. We could not be happier. Highly recommend for quality work at a fair price. read more

I contacted Al's Carpets and my call was returned within minutes. Al came out the following day at 9am to give me an estimate. His team came out and did the work above and beyond what I expected. They offered great solutions to cover my "issues". They were a super efficient team!! I'm thrilled, highly recommend them and definitely will use them again. read more

I called Al's carpets looking for a quote along with another company rated 5 stars on Yelp. The other guy came first with a couple of samples and provided a satisfactory quote but didn't know much about the carpet he was selling. On the other hand Al showed up with an entire truck bed full of carpet samples to choose from. He looked at the home, listened intently to our needs which included the spilling of black coffee and lack of ability to clean it immediately and make his recommendations. He took the time to explain in detail about how the carpet we liked was made and why it was a great purchase for our needs. Installation was done yesterday by his son and grandson and it has completely transformed the home. And the price was EXCELLENT. Al also showed up to take a look at the installation and chat with me. So glad we were able to keep our business local and get such great results! read more

I stopped looking around for carpet person after we met Al. Now I just call him whenever I need carpet or linoleum for my home or rentals. He is dependable, honest, with fast workers, always cleans up and arrives when he says he will and does not make you wait weeks before he starts. My daughter just had a beautiful carpet put in by Al's Carpet also. read more
