Menards was a store that, for 6 weeks, was completely out of PPE and cleaning supplies. Then, the…read moreday the gov made some new decree mandating new rules in stores, all of a sudden Menards mandated mask wearing in their store. Oh, you don't have a mask (perhaps because Menard's didn't maintain a supply over the past 6 weeks)? Well all of a sudden Menards can sell you one. At $5 a mask. Not for a box, just for one. Oh, and their employees? Well for some reason, they're exempt and can be seen walking around the store mask-less. Menards is basically the Walmart of home improvement - cheap, chinese knockoff and imitation products sold under a bunch of fake company names which all really belong to Menards. Do your neighbor a favor and shop at your local lumberyard or your local hardware store instead and support your community instead price-gouging fascists.

He was also going to paint the frame when he brought the new screen. He said it should arrive by the end of the week. Over the last 6 weeks, I have called and left messages, most of which were ignored. When I finally talked to the salesman after 3 1/2 weeks, he said it would be in the next week and he'd call. When I hadn't heard from him a week after that date, he said he'd check on it and get "right back" to me. Again nothing and again he didn't return my message the next day. Luckily, I hadn't paid anything and have since found a screen online. I don't know if this is now typical of YB&D customer service. They converted my fireplace from wood-burning to gas several years ago and I was beyond pleased with their service. I'm disappointed and bewildered as to why the negative service now.
