The guy who did my nails was so preoccupied with everything else that was going on, I was a mere distraction for him. He proceeded to do something I would not even call a massage and then when we was doing my nails he pulled off skin that had no intention of leaving. Went today to get a fill. Just a fill. Not a full set. Yet it almost took two hours for the guy who works there to finish due to him watching the football game that was playing, he was also texting through out his work. Because he was distracted by the game he also hurt me three different times and had to apologize every time. I paid $36 for a fill when i normally pay $40 for a full set where i normally go. The worst part of it all is that once he was done one of the nails got this weird air bubble and with in 5 hrs it's only been 5 hrs it popped and now my nail looks like this. Honestly I don't know where all the negative reviews come from. I got a gel manicure and a regular spa pedicure and I had a fine experience. Both the manicurist and pedicurist were maticulous and did a great job on my nails. I loved the fact that there were TV's on the walls, and UM THEY SERVE WINE! The work area was exceptionally clean and they even had cute little Halloween decorations which gave the place a very homey feeling. I'm not too familiar with getting my nails done so I don't have much to go off of when rating my nails, however my friend who gets her nails done often was ecstatic about her acrylics. I went to the nail salon in EL CAJON by the super walmart. I walked in at 4:21 and was told to pick a color. I was seated in the chair and Mary began the pedicure at 4:25pm. she was very quick. This place sucks!!! I went in with long natural nails needed three fingernails made to match the rest and have acrylic put over the rest of my nails. They are now half the length they were and rounded not squared like I asked. The guy who did them had the top of the nails so lumpy and painted them like he was painting the side of a house. Another lady had to come over and try to fix them but they are still messed up all different lengths and the three fake ones are the shortest of all. On top of it I was there for like 3 hours!!! I've gone here numerous times and I'm alway happy with the results. It's always clean and they have large screen televisions to watch as you get your nails/feet done. The pedicure chairs are extremely comfortable and you can pick from a variety of massage options. The last time I went, they gave me a menu-like folder which listed all their different services. I thought that was a nice touch. It can get a bit crowded so I usually go early on a weekday. The parking lot can also get a bit crowded with all the new businesses opening up in the surrounding area. So again, the earlier the better. I would give them a higher rating if they were a little bit friendlier. I noticed that when I started going more often, they started recognizing me. Is your expectation level set too high?! Well, I guess I am first going to state what I think is obvious, this is a NAIL place NOT a spa! If you're looking for pampering and all that, this is not the place for you. However, if you're looking to get a mani and/or pedi, well done at a reasonable price, then this is exactly where to go. There are different pedi packages to choose from and all four of us got exactly what we wanted. The chairs were comfortable, and I felt that the environment and such was clean. I would give a zero if I could. They have a new computer system for you to sign in on. I brought my granddaughter with me and they wanted her to sign in and provide her cell number and email address. I told them she is a minor and I did not want her giving out that information. They did go ahead and serve her, but I think that is a bad policy. I have had several pedicures there before and they were ok. Today I was very disappointed. If I could select zero stars I would. Worst job anyone has ever done on my nails. Not a single nail had the same or similar shape not even the color was done correctly. The acrylics were not even filed correctly. I got so mad and told them I'm not going to pay for bad quality work and they threatened to call the cops so I told them to call. Cops came and looked at them with a straight face and said "my wife would never pay for work like this, remove them immediately or let her leave.." got them removed and now my natural nails look terrible and absolutely ruined. The man that did them took video and pictures of me the whole time. Never coming back here again & will never recommend to anyone. Please don't go here. Terrible service. I continued to go here because it's the only nIl place close by, I have given many chances as I figured sometimes places just have bad days. Done. I pay for upgraded pedicures and I usually let my almost 4 year old get her nails/toes painted... she sat there like a little angel today, hardly moved and didnt hardly speak - and that's how you know she felt uncomfortable too. If they commented on how hard it was to paint her "little" nails one more time, or told her not to move again... just not a good experience at all. I pay for her to get her stuff done, she should be treated like anyone else. If you can't paint a kids nails, then dont accept kids. read more

I'm writing this review for my wife because she doesn't have the stomach to say anything right now... It was my wife's birthday and she decided to go out and get her nails done. We did not want to drive far so we went to the local one here in Alpine. Not only were the workers rude but they were talking in their own language. We don't mind them doing that, but at least let us feel welcome. Also, My wife has a complex that she has too much facial hair. It never bothered me. Yet the lady that was doing the waxing kept repeating "wow", over and over again. My wife came out in tears and I was fuming! If these people want to come to America, the land of the free and the land of opportunity, they should at least have a grateful attitude and keep their opinions to themselves. Very unprofessional. They better be glad that I didn't go back and make a scene to expose them in front of everybody who was there. I figure that would be stooping to their level.
