What a fun place to play miniature golf! My family, 2 adults & 2 kids (age 3 & 7) had a great time. Like all the other reviews said, the course is beautiful and well maintained. We loved it. The prices were hard to find online, so kids (12 and under) cost $9.50 and adults are $10.50. We also enjoyed the 10% off ice cream next door. Warning for parents of small kids: There are 3 holes near the busy road without any fence. So, if you have a wandering toddler, this could be a stressor. However, it's only 3 holes. We had a blast!!! It's a cute thing to do, but it's a bit pricey and the theming does not continue past the main building as the different holes are just there. The holes are fairly unimaginative and pretty flat until you get to the second half of the course. Additionally, some of the holes have not been kept up well and have cracks that affect your putting. read more

My wife wanted to go clubbing, so I took her for some mini golfing. Just off of the Main Street. It's a very pretty picturesque type of course. Like a pristine garden. Very green and well kept. All in Bavarian theme style. A bit expensive though. I guess they manage to get away with it. More costly than the pirate cove course on the other side of the street. Beautiful well maintained course. The hydrangeas this time of year were perfect. Nice view of the mountains. We went at sunset and it was breathtaking. Watch out for the ice cream trap at the end! Not too challenging, but some holes are more difficult than they appear. We have visited this putt-putt course twice now. It is a nice course lacking the little characters and such you usually see on courses, but you definitely don't miss them. The landscaping around the course is absolutely beautiful and well kept. There are plenty of creative seating areas throughout the area including pergolas covered with jasmine, gazebos surrounded by roses and gardenias, and a nice swing. There's even a sitting area around an outdoor fireplace. The staff is friendly. You even get a discount to come back later to play and to buy an ice cream at the ice cream shoppe next door. This is a wonderful place to enjoy a nice game of miniature golf. I was just so impressed with the care the owners and workers took with the place. The scenery within the place was beautiful. Large blue hydrangea bushes everywhere with gazebos, benches, large trees. We played during the day but sometime I want to play at night when all the lights are on. They even have a fireplace with chairs around it to sit and enjoy. If you purchase a game, you get the second game 1/2 off and a discount at the ice cream shop, too. We were thanked multiple times for coming. I wish we had one of these in our town. Wonderful. They should consider having Alpine franchises. Management was wonderful. My husband, our friends, and I have a strange fascination with Mini Golf. Whenever we go to a new place, we play mini golf if it's available. We were driving through Helen this weekend when we spotted Alpine Golf. We pulled over as soon as we saw it, and I'm so glad we did. This gem of a place makes you feel like you've been transported through time to the 1950s. They were playing midcentury tunes over loudspeakers to accompany your game, and the staff was so friendly. Before our game, our cashier even apologized for some of the holes still being damp. [A few days before, it rained to flash-flood level, so we understood of course.] And we didn't even notice the wetness once we were out there. The quality and maintenance of Alpine can't be complimented enough. Since I've been to several of these places, I can say with confidence that Alpine has obviously been designed by someone who knew what they were doing. The holes themselves were designed very well, with no unintentional cracks, dips, or bumps. The level of cleanliness and maintenance was nothing short of immaculate. It was very very clean, well groomed, and obviously loved. If I find myself in Helen again, I'll be stopping here without a doubt. read more

The course is not very challenging, but it is well-worth a visit to meet the folks that run it. During the summer, the owners live in a German cottage overlooking the extremely well-manicured course. The obviously take a ton of pride in the course and it's a gem to visit... Tons of porches, swings and flowering plants They are super friendly and collect trains and Christmas villages that can be found in the office and adjoining ice cream parlor. My family and I (children and adults) came here on a weekday around 1pm. We loved this place! The employee (sorry, I don't remember her name) was absolutely lovely and welcoming. The whole facility was clean inside and out, and we were all very satisfied. We've played mini golf at other places, and did not have as great of a time as we did at Alpine. Prices were reasonable, too. We'll be back the next time we visit Helen! read more

What you know about playing mini golf?? Melanie and her effervescent personality taught us all we needed to know. After our rear wheel fell flat on the Georgia back roads it was the oasis we needed. Not only did Melanie guide us through putt-putt but she also introduced us to every delicious flavor of Scoop de Scoop ice cream (get the Blueberry Cream Pie not the Black Walnut). The gentleman at the desk was very rude as soon as we walked in with 5 kids, ages 3-8. Only the kids wanted to play the mini-golf. I did not feel that 2, 3 year olds, would really "play" and should get some discount as most places offer (4 & under play free) but not at this location. Plus, the gentleman was so rude about it "NO! not at this place, this is business" that we just left to another mini-golf nearby that had much better, waterfalls, kids-fun area and free ice-cream afterwards. I loved this mini-golf place! While on vacation in Helen, we spotted this place and decided we had to try it. The staff were incredibly friendly and kept the premises in impeccable condition. That night the four of us teenagers played and loved it so much that we played again with our parents the next night! The holes are easy enough for children, but unique and challenging enough to provide entertainment for teenagers and adults. The entire course is the most photogenic place ever, we took dozens of pictures in front of the gorgeous wells, fountains, windmill, and everything else. I am looking forward to playing here again the next time I visit the area! read more
