With that, we decided it was time to upgrade our 20+ year old HVAC system (still working great, mind you). We got bids from 3 different companies (two Trane businesses and Summit). We decided to go with summit for a few reasons. Extremely competitive pricing. Friendly, honest, respectful people. Demonstration of product knowledge. No attempt to over sale, over size, or roll in unnecessary solutions for our situation. Summit fit us in and was able to get out to our place real fast. We got a quote a couple days later. We have been doing our research so had plenty of questions for them. They gave honest and timely answers. This really bolstered our confidence in them. When it came to install, they showed up on time and were really respectful of our house and the fact we have indoor cats (our kitten was super curious to see what they were doing so was constantly checking in on them). They tore out and installed our new system all in one day (between 7-8 hours). The install was extremely clean. What I was really impressed over was that they didn't just replace everything because they could. They commented on how good the previous install was and leveraged a lot of existing components. Good example of their honesty as some could just mark that as more to sell. We are beyond pleased with how this turned out and would absolutely recommend them to anyone. Their service plan is also extremely competitive for it's price. These guys are top tier and will go above and beyond to make their customers have the best experience. Check them out if you're in need of an install or an upgrade!

So.... On Friday before an arctic cold snap of -15 degrees coming the next Monday, which was also a…read moreholiday, the gas valve on my boiler went out. I called around to try and find one locally. No luck for my valve for LP (Propane), and no valves with conversion kits available. I was able to order one, I bought it, and paid $175 to next day ship it for Saturday. It came and I had it installed, but it wouldn't light all the burners! Two or three of seven might light, until perhaps a minute later, and then if you blew on then, they would all light, but the boiler would shut down if you didn't. No matter how many times we tried, they would never all light, and instead one or two would light, and the rest would just blow gas into the boiler room! Talk about risk of explosion! So there I was with -15 degree temps coming in 24-36 hours and Monday was a holiday. My first guy told me that there didn't seem to be enough pressure of gas coming into the house and to call the propane company because he thought they had a bad regulator on the tank. I called the propane company and they informed me that all the pressure and lines needed to be checked before they would send anyone out, and they recommended I call Premier Air heating and cooling. At this point I was desperate, so I called! I spoke to someone immediately when I called who put me in touch with the Helena rep, Lex. Lex agreed to meet me at my home in 2 hours and he was there right on time. The first thing Lex did was to check EVERYTHING, clean EVERYTHING, and otherwise ensure that all components were working, one by one, before eventually he was able to conclusively determine that my brand new gas valve, was bad! It wouldn't let much gas into the burners at first, and took almost a minute to build up gas pressure to the normal 8-9lbs. He also determined that there was no problem with the pressure coming into the house from the tank outside. It was the bad valve which wasn't letting enough through for way too long for the burners to light normally. So essentially what was happening was that the brand new bad valve I had just installed would have only been good for causing a gas explosion. Thank GOD I was able to get such a talented professional out to help me on SUCH SHORT NOTICE before a holiday weekend and an arctic air blast. AND..... he just happened to have a universal valve with an LP conversion kit that, after installation, worked perfectly and got our home back online with heat and hot water again! Sure, it was a very expensive valve, and pricey service, but Lex earned every penny, and I was so grateful to have this serious problem fixed in the NICK of time before the arctic freeze! Thanks Lex and Premier Air Heating and Cooling. I WILL be calling you guys again if I need you, and recommending your services!

LUCAS came out and was wonderful to work with -- kind, professional, and clear about what to expect during the visit. He completed the work efficiently and at a fair price. He was also very respectful walking through our home, which we really appreciated. It's always a great experience with Monarch, and it gives us peace of mind knowing our system is well taken care of. Highly recommend, thanks again!

It was strange because you would think that a heating and cooling company possessed the manpower and training to complete a vital step in the first category they list for services provided, you know, the heating part?! This company I worked for and myself helped them with the task they asked us to complete, to install a gas line to THEIR equipment. I myself needed help completing a project that required AC equipment. I remembered Monarch from the previous jobs I had mentioned so I gave them a call and asked for help. As soon as I mentioned that I had my own equipment and just needed Monarch to complete the 25% left to complete the project the person on the phone became very uninterested in helping and made it clear that Monarch did not work on equipment they did not sell. She said she would talk to her boss and have him call me back but no one ever has. If Monarch only works on their own equipment how do they do service work? Do they show up and just tell the customer they need something new even if the equipment is new and only needs to be repaired? Are they using this angle to force people in an area where services are low and prices are high to buy services and equipment that weren't necessary? I had explained that I worked with Monarch and had positive interactions with them and the person on the other end and the person that never called me back just kind of didn't care, they too busy to help someone that helped them. Kind of a kick in the crotch and not a company I would ever help or recommend now that I am independent in the same area. Very bad customer service with complimentary ethics issues included with every sale! Experiences vary! Call today!

That was great. He was friendly and professional and had our problem figured out in maybe 10 minutes - it was the air inducer motor. He did not have that part in his truck so he promised an estimate first thing Monday morning. He kept his promise with an email and a phone call right around 8:30am. The estimate was $470 for the part, $30 for part delivery and $60 for the 2nd home visit to install (after $170 for the emergency), or about $560 now, and $730 total. I price checked another Bozeman HVAC firm and saw on the internet that one other person on Amazon claimed this price from another HVAC co. But Amazon sold that part for $85 and free shipping!! I was a bit nervous about messing with a gas appliance, but this inducer screws to the wall of the furnace with just 4 screws and 2 plug-in wires. You do not touch any furnace parts that carry gas. The how-to video lasted 5 min. I took maybe 45 min. My furnace fired right up as so many Amazon reviews noted. So if you are non-mechanical, you are getting a fair HVAC price. If you can hold a screwdriver, perhaps consider saving $480!? I did need the emergency call to tell me what was wrong and that was totally fair.
