So.... On Friday before an arctic cold snap of -15 degrees coming the next Monday, which was also a…read moreholiday, the gas valve on my boiler went out. I called around to try and find one locally. No luck for my valve for LP (Propane), and no valves with conversion kits available. I was able to order one, I bought it, and paid $175 to next day ship it for Saturday. It came and I had it installed, but it wouldn't light all the burners! Two or three of seven might light, until perhaps a minute later, and then if you blew on then, they would all light, but the boiler would shut down if you didn't. No matter how many times we tried, they would never all light, and instead one or two would light, and the rest would just blow gas into the boiler room! Talk about risk of explosion! So there I was with -15 degree temps coming in 24-36 hours and Monday was a holiday. My first guy told me that there didn't seem to be enough pressure of gas coming into the house and to call the propane company because he thought they had a bad regulator on the tank. I called the propane company and they informed me that all the pressure and lines needed to be checked before they would send anyone out, and they recommended I call Premier Air heating and cooling. At this point I was desperate, so I called! I spoke to someone immediately when I called who put me in touch with the Helena rep, Lex. Lex agreed to meet me at my home in 2 hours and he was there right on time. The first thing Lex did was to check EVERYTHING, clean EVERYTHING, and otherwise ensure that all components were working, one by one, before eventually he was able to conclusively determine that my brand new gas valve, was bad! It wouldn't let much gas into the burners at first, and took almost a minute to build up gas pressure to the normal 8-9lbs. He also determined that there was no problem with the pressure coming into the house from the tank outside. It was the bad valve which wasn't letting enough through for way too long for the burners to light normally. So essentially what was happening was that the brand new bad valve I had just installed would have only been good for causing a gas explosion. Thank GOD I was able to get such a talented professional out to help me on SUCH SHORT NOTICE before a holiday weekend and an arctic air blast. AND..... he just happened to have a universal valve with an LP conversion kit that, after installation, worked perfectly and got our home back online with heat and hot water again! Sure, it was a very expensive valve, and pricey service, but Lex earned every penny, and I was so grateful to have this serious problem fixed in the NICK of time before the arctic freeze! Thanks Lex and Premier Air Heating and Cooling. I WILL be calling you guys again if I need you, and recommending your services!

I've used Premier Systems extensively in the past, including having them install HVAC systems at…read morefour of my properties, so I want to be fair and provide the full context of my most recent experience. I called Premier for a thermostat that had lost power. I was quoted a $225 diagnostic fee and was told that if repairs were needed, that amount would be incorporated into the final bill. The technician quickly diagnosed the problem as a blown fuse and ultimately replaced the fuse and an inexpensive fuse switch. The entire service visit was less than an hour, including a trip back to the shop to get the correct fuse. What upset me was being presented with an $812 bill after the repair had already been completed, without that price being disclosed to me or authorized beforehand. I reacted strongly when I saw the bill. I subsequently apologized directly to the technician for losing my temper and calmed the situation down, but I remain firm in believing that an $812 repair should have been disclosed and approved before the work was performed. After I contacted the owner, Operations Manager Chris called me personally. To Premier's credit, Chris acknowledged that mistakes had been made in how the technician handled the situation and agreed to resolve the invoice for the original $225 diagnostic fee plus $100 for parts, which I believe was fair. Chris also asked that I not use Premier for future service work other than warranty work because of my reaction during the disagreement. While I'm disappointed by that decision given the amount of business I've previously done with Premier, I respect their right to make it. Overall, my experience with Premier over the years has generally been positive, and they ultimately did the right thing in this situation. My criticism is specifically about the lack of upfront pricing and authorization before performing this particular repair. Customers should be told what a repair is going to cost--and be given the opportunity to approve it--before the work is completed. I appreciate Chris taking the time to call me, acknowledge what went wrong, and resolve the billing dispute fairly.

I went up the ladder at the company to try and get help. I received an apologetic and hopeful conversation and was "put on the schedule" for 4 months out. I called them 4x after 3 months to make sure I was still on the schedule. None of my calls were returned. I then emailed and got the reply that I actually wasn't on the schedule and wouldn't be on it until "spring." In Montana, that could be f-ing July. I cannot move back into my home until this project is done and Ranger wasted 4 months of my life and patience when I could have called other companies.

I told him no way and he charged $300 for the trip. He also told me the new faucet would cost me $150. The same faucet at Lowes is $39. I fixed it myself in 20 minutes with the exact same $39 faucet. I thought this was a reputable company. They are sending idiots out to do the job and asking the customer to pay for their incompetence. Never again. This company is just looking for ways to rip you off.

We had planned for two years to put up an entrance sign for our small ranch. First challenge was…read morefinding the poles (took a year) and then finding a sign maker. We landed on a company that built our sign out of sheet aluminum and they swore that it was sturdy and able to hang safely in the wind. Well, we put it up on a windy day and within 2 hours the wind ripped the sign down. A hanging aluminum sign is a BAD IDEA! We started over again. We had looked at J Dubs that first time, but we didn't know what we were really buying and didn't understand the differences. For our second round we went back to J Dubs we found out what a great sign company can do. We gave them a simple design idea (Irish font with the ranch name) and a smaller second sign with a horse on it. We sent them some pic ideas and left it to them. Their designer (no extra cost) sent some ideas and they far exceeded our ideas - that's what a great designed does. The signs are heavy powder coated steel. There are stiffening bars on the top of the big sign and the bottom of the small sign. They won't tear out! The work of the designer is gorgeous! Better than we could have ever imagined!
