Not only did they decide to help, they went far beyond the level of customer service he had ever experienced. They didn't just help him find boots that fit, they also made sure the boots would work with his skis. When it turned out they didn't, they pushed all their appointments aside to make sure everything worked so he would not have to wait any longer and could continue his road trip, and so he would not have to deal with it at the resort and pay extra fees. I've patronized a few Play It Again Sports in two other areas of the country, and I can say without…read morereservation this is both the biggest/best stocked store I've been in, and they had the best staff of any PIAS I've been to. They are loaded for bear right now with winter stock - vast arrays of skates, hockey gear, skis, snowboards, and accessories. They tend at this location to stock ONLY what is demanded for the season, so if you're selling something from an off-season or are looking for a bargain tennis racket in November, you will be disappointed. They do full-season rentals on equipment, which seems to me like a great way to wade into a new sport. Their buyback scheme is as follows: when you bring a used item in, they will price it. If you leave it on consignment to sell, you will get 50% of the price, when it sells. If you want to take trade-in credit right away, you get 40% of the value. If you want to get cash on the nose right away, you get 30% of the value. I looked at the range of conditions and availability for skates (which we were shopping for today) and the price range seemed quite decent for what they had. I waited for our skates to be sharpened, and observed them helping some skiing and snowboarding customers and handling a buy-back transaction, and they seemed very thorough, professional, and knowledgeable. The used prices aren't ultrabargains, but it's difficult to really find a specialty store that deals with used goods. You have your thrift stores, used car dealers, and other than that you're left with Craigslist and garage sales for the most part. So I think this is a pretty good niche, and for the ever-growing and changing-of-interest kids, a great great resource. They'll have to wow me on repeat visits for me to get up to the lofty five stars, but a promising four stars for now.

My five friends and I went up to Jiminy Peak Mountain for a three day ski weekend. I called ahead to reserve skis, filled out the form, and emailed it in. On arrival, we parked in a big parking lot right behind the shop, walked in, and saw ALL of our gear ready to go, name tags and all! The owner couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. He made sure the boots fit everybody, and we were out of there within 15 minutes. The shop is exactly 10min from the mountain. The quality of the boots and skis were incredibly. You could tell 'Ski Fanatics' really takes care of their equipment. I have never worn, let alone rented, such comfortable boots in my life. Most importantly, the boots were warm!! Warmth on the mountain is paramount, every skier understands colds toes. Once we got loaded up, John, the owner, told us to give him a heads up if we were going to return the skis after hours. He lives down the road and was willing to open up the shop if we needed to come in later. Finally, during the return process, John came out and helped us quickly unload all of our skies and gears. Overall, the whole process couldn't have gone smoother. It was a true 5 star experience, start to finish. I recommend Ski Fanatics for all of your ski needs. No one in our group rented snowboards so I can't speak to them.

The entire experience was amazing! Nick and TJ took the time to understand what we wanted out of a boot and how we skied. They gave us a few options and helped us select the perfect boot. They made several adjustments the day we picked them up and then on several other occasions over the couple of weeks to get them fully dialed in and perfect! There still was a piece hanging off of the scratch, it wasn't even properly waxed. When I received my board for pick up it barely even looked like it had any maintenance done to it. This place is a rip off, better off going somewhere else. They also got rid of military discounts, they had it last season in 2024 and this year they didn't. Rather have gotten my money back because now I have to take it to a better shop that'll actually wax and fill the scratch which I asked this shop to do and instead they just take your money and don't do what they said.

Late February of 2017, I had to call it quits for the season due to collapsing arches causing the bone just above my arch on both feet to draw painfully into the inside of each boot. That day, after the prior 7 weekends of instructing, in pain , I looked at my ski school director (knowing I had an appointment with Dr. Dixon shortly ), and asked if I could "bag" it for the season, she got it. I left the parking lot at West Mtn. that day and headed for Sportspage in Queensbury and like a Mecca mission ran into Rich . Rich sat me down. I explained the awful pain I was experiencing , he listened intently. He was very explicit, "Ken I'm not a Dr. And I'm not going to do anything that deters you working with your medical provider, but let me show you what is going on with your feet." Okay I said . For 20 minutes he had me in the "wise grips of his knowledge" . Had both ski socks off, showed me how the bone that was driving against the inside of both feet , moved my feet showing how a proper arch support would reduce the bone jarring out and how they'd do "heated boot work " to alleviate the jarring bone of both feet . I put two pairs of skis on layaway looking forward to next season . 2 weeks later I saw Dr. Dixon, he did exactly what Rich did . I'll repeat that . Dr. Dixon did exactly what Rich did . Begin season 2017/18, I had yet to have have my boots "worked", I showed up for ski instructor reorientation and after 45 minutes, in pain once again, I bagged the orientation on the slopes and headed to Sports Page at 10:30 knowing they don't open to noon ( a Sunday ), I wanted to be 1st on line to see Rich . He was there . In his able hands for less than 15 minutes he laid out the game plan , I left in about an hour , I bought the fancy ski socks that he said I didn't have to buy but I choose to, I paid for the inserts and for less than $100.00 bucks I walked out of Sportpage ecstatic with HAPPY FEET ! As a prior instructor at Gore for 7 years, many of the instructors there had gone to Vt ski areas like Stratton for boot work and the sums they spoke of were pricey, $300/$400. Sure, I am sure the value for them was great . But to be able to get the same level if not better level of professionalism and knowledge from my local store in Queensbury without the schlep and expense and quickly is priceless. The lineup of equipment , clothing ( one of these days I'll get a Dale of Norway sweater , I had one and my spouse washed it years ago, there is nothing like them ), professional staff, courtesy and concern for making certain skiers dig the experience is just marvelous . Their expertise and professionalism is always present. I was actually really annoyed at Joey's review. Let me see if I understand this: He was in a jam and no one else could help him (TWICE!!). Yet, Concord Pools said they could help and he complains about the price? I'm going to guess that the great company he mentioned that he now frequents was too busy to help him out of a jam but is happy to sell him chemicals and let him cry on their shoulder? The pool was "disgusting" (his words), and yet he expected it to be crystal clear in under a week??? he didn't know it was disgusting prior to it becoming urgent? I don't know how bad it actually was but I know how long it takes to get my own pool, clean when it's full of leaves. Secondly, I learned the hard way that a pool with problem water will use up chlorine rapidly. I'm terrible at taking care of my water and Concord always helps me out. This company does work without your consent, and will charge you!…read more I am disappointed to leave this pool company after 2 years because they went ahead, and did work outside of my agreed upon contract of a pool opening. At no point in time did they contact me to do "additional work". Therefore, be very careful. They replaced a piece that did not need to be replaced on top of my filter, tossed to the side. Not once letting us know. Not once hearing from us to agree on them touching anything outside of an opening. What's more disturbing is now the piece that was replaced I am not sure can go back. Thus, forcing me to now shut off my pool filter and now not using my pool until this company resolves this blatant issue of unauthorized work and possible damage to what they replaced as irreplaceable now. Make sure you find a pool company that values their customers consent on all work done on your property. Especially because I was not even home for this lack of consumer respect. I would ALSO like to point out that the items replaced were there last year and the year before that. and NO ONE DID OUTSIDE REPAIRS UNTIL NOW. I WAS TOLD LAST YEAR AND THE YEAR BEFORE THAT EVERYTHING WAS FINE.
