Came here Saturday afternoon 9/5/15 to have a huge custom job printed believing they would be open given the hours advertised on their website and the fact that I had been there on a Saturday afternoon only a month prior. Drove 20 minutes only to arrive and find the place closed - it was 1pm, their website and the sign on the door indicated Saturday hours of 9am-3pm, and the only other sign on the door regarding hours was in reference to their being closed for Labor Day the following Monday. If you're not going to be open, perhaps advertise that fact to your customers! We drove all the way to this particular location because Saturday is the only time we have to get stuff like this done since we work M-F 8-5 like most people. Even just a simple sign on the door would have been helpful instead of standing outside in the heat for 5-10 minutes trying to figure out what was going on. We ended up having to go across the street to FedEx Office and give them our business even though the service and quality was less than stellar because it was our only option on a Saturday afternoon. I prefer the quality of AlphaGraphics over Kinkos for a printer when you're in a hurry, but wtf are people talking about with the "stellar customer service"? I went there today and everyone looked like they'd rather be dead than at work. An older woman barely helped me. At least at Kinkos they do everything for you. I have never been to a print store that required you to figure shit out on your own. She pointed to a computer (an old one at that) and I had to figure out which printer to send it to and how to adjust the settings to fit what I was trying to print. I am very computer savvy, but it just seemed lazy of them/her. She kept walking away and I kept hollering across the entire fucking store asking questions. Seriously!? Just take my thumb drive, plug it in, print the files, and be done with it. Isn't that so much easier than me bugging you 10 times? It's one thing if I request a self-service setup, but I didn't. I was just very unimpressed. No one was particularly mean or rude, just not the least bit happy or helpful. It's frustrating and I'd rather go to Kinkos. I big MEH from me read more

I typically like to use local businesses but was let down a bit by the one previously used. I had to get a large job done quickly and correct the FIRST time so I took the chance on AlphaGraphics and pleased to admit that they were extremely efficient, understanding to my needs and went above and beyond to make sure all my questions and concerns were addressed. For the job I needed done I was expecting at least 3 business days. I was told it may take only 24 to 48 hours to complete it however, they were done in UNDER 24 hours which was surprising and so very much appreciated. Great vendors that are affordable are rare. Here's one that must be shared. With R and R Images being acquired by Shutterfly, I needed to find a new printer for a reprint of a small job they had done last year. They recommended AlphaGraphics. Really? was my first thought. Then I called the store. Very nice. Turns out a couple of the AG stores are huge and have tons of capabilities. Larry Furlong is the franchise owner and couldn't be more friendly and accommodating. He emailed over a quote within minutes! And the next day I had a courier deliver a full capabilities kit with samples, catalogs, etc. They cater to agencies, he says. I'll say. They've just taken a spot in my "Supplier Swiss Army knife". Email the file and they'll blind ship to your client and drop a few samples in the mail for you as well. Boom. There you go. read more

Larry was great to work with! I used Alphagraphics to create and send out over 1,500 event invites for a customer appreciation event. The invite creative, printing and shipping were all executed without any issues. He was more than patient going back and forth with all of the tweaks I kept changing my mind on for the wording of the invitation. Disappointed!!! Was so determined to have an awesome birthday party for my son who recently broke his jaw. I wanted to customize everything, so I took my items to Alphagraphics to get good quality prints. I was originally being helped by Myles. I told him EXACTLY what I wanted. He seemed a bit confused but lucky a gal came along and helped him help me. I needed water bottle labels PRINTED (I had the file made on Etsy, so you would think it would be a print and go. Boy was I wrong. At the end I did get what I needed. Or so I thought.... (it also came with a price $$) I have been to this location 4 times now for a simple water bottle label for reasons that honestly I think they should have been able to figure out on their own! I came in to proof the labels with the water bottle they requested I bring. Guess what? They don't fit! You would think someone in there drinks water and they would go off that but the gal said they looked it up on the internet! Seriously? I asked that they fix them and she said for $25 the "design team" could fix them. WHAT?!?! I didn't think this was my mistake to begin with so why do I have to fork over more $ to have them the way I originally requested??? I said forget it and that $50 for water bottle labels is ridiculous so just print them. (Running out of time for party) I get a call a few days later asking how many I would like printed. Are you kidding me? I had 1 file with 4 designs so you would think they would just divide 20 by 4. Unbelievable. Today I finally pick up the finished product only to find that after all this unorganized mess, I only got 1 designed printed. My 1st and LAST time doing business here. read more

The company I work for has struggled to locate a printer that can accurately render our company color on business cards. Additionally, it is difficult to locate a printer that offers heavier card stock with a glossy front and matte back. We have a number of staff that like to write notes, numbers, et cetera on the back of their business cards, and it is tricky to find a stock that doesn't smear too much. We worked with Aaron Burckle, who was knowledgeable, professional, and incredibly patient. They first printed us one round of proofs on a really nice heavy matte stock, but the color wasn't right. Aaron patiently reviewed the card stock options with us, and helped us select a stock that would work best for our design. He assured us that they would get the color right, so he took a color sample back to their print team and they proceeded to match it on a different card stock with the glossy front that really helped the color pop. We are so pleased with the cards they printed and our staff immediately noticed the improved quality. For all the years Alphagraphics has been on Camelback at 21st Street, I have taken all my little fax and copy jobs there and found the workers to always be efficient and accommodating without exception. Now fragile with age and weakening heart, nearing 80, and widowed in 2013, I went in on Dec 7 with my beloved husband of 57 years funeral program which included his biography to have it finessed into a keepsake edition to be enclosed with 2013 Christmas cards. He had lived a long life of dignity, sterling character, and of service to others. Initially, I was treated well. When a proof was finally ready I was told to take it home and read it backwards to catch their mistakes. Not surprisingly I missed many. Going back time after time, the woman would leave me alone in a room to read through it again backwards... on several days. I said it would be so good if the typing department would check their own work, and leave only the final check to me; she said they were too busy. When at last notes had been made on everything, and nothing was left to correct except the color in a picture...which they assured me was as good as they could get it since their store does not have the kind of equipment the little Dallas printer had used, the programs were finally finished and ready for me to pick up and get into the mail on Christmas Eve. As it turned out after reading both forward and backwards I had missed a particularly bad mistake, so bad I was embarrassed to mail them. Back in Alphagraphics the day after Christmas the woman hit me with both barrels saying I should have paid more attention, and when she admitted Alphagraphics had missed one of my notations, I asked her if they would redo it one more time to correct what they had missed, and also fix what I had missed, she said a flat No, that Alphagraphics had already spent hours and hours on my project, and that they were through. When I asked if Alphagraphics would refund the money so I could take the project elsewhere to be finished properly, she gave me one of her looks and said of course not. My face must have reflected my emotions as she then said, 'we did all this for you and now you are angry at us'. I said, no, that I was sad and when I burst into tears, she said, 'Oh, and now you are going to start crying' It was right then that my meltdown happened. I said that as a senior I should contact Tom Horne because laws on senior abuse in Arizona are firmly in place. At that point the woman really let loose saying I was threatening them and playing the age card. To whomever reads this, please note that this woman would not have dared use her demeaning and condescending tone on a male half my age, nor treat him as she did me. Even more so, she would not dare treat a female half my age as she did me! read more

Some of the worst customer service I have ever received. The project was done well, but was extremely expensive compared to competitors. I was amazed that EVERY single employee I dealt with was rude, and unwilling to help. The manager wouldn't even look at me. After my horrific experience with Alphagraphics I was asked to complete a customer service survey in my email. After I completed it I received an email from the franchise owner with statements like "sorry you FELT we were rude." Really?! read more

Unfortunately for me, at one time, I'd give this group on Camelback 5 stars, and make a great argument as to why. Over the last 1/2 year, it is barely 2 stars. I have picked up project after project that was absolutely the worst copied material I've ever seen, so bad, that I won't dare give it out to my customers, and have had them redo it. They redo it at no charge, but my schedule isn't allowing me to keep training them. Recently, they did a major project for me, and it looks great, out of the park great. I did not get my proofs or originals back, and it is the only set I have to make a $ 35.00 flip chart. I make these by the $ 700 chunks. Now, I guess my fault for not having a back up copy of masters, but if I have to do that, babysit who I am paying top money for, I really need to find somebody else that won't loose my originals. I, at this point, am looking for another print source. You use them all you want, rave about them up and down, let them keep your originals next time you pick up a print job and see how great you think they are putting you in a hole. read more
