I've done archery before so I finished this pretty quickly. If you're tall and/or have longer arms, I suggest getting the long bow (black). When playing, make sure your arm guard is securely attached. When you're running around, the arm guard can get loose and you'll injure yourself when shooting due to the whiplash. I know some people that bruised their arms this way. The matches can give you a rush when you're cornered and loading that last arrow. Nerf gun - This event was so so. Very early on, I realized the guns they had jammed very easily. Bullets don't fly that straight so I found that you had to run very close in order to get this shot. Sometimes when you get hit, you don't even realize since the impact is so soft, so this can be great for kids in terms of safety. Dodgeball - Great for cardio, working out your throwing arm and testing your reflexes. We played a few variations of the game such as having a medic that can revive down players, but once the medic is discovered and hit, the team loses. Make sure you're dressed appropriately and bring your own water!

I find it unbelievable that they are not following the Covid-19 laws and putting others health at risk. They certainly had over 20 campers and staff during their camp at Wanless park. At the time, the max limit for outdoor gatherings was 10. I enjoy using the baseball diamond and field with my children and we could not use it because they told us they had a permit for it. When I called 311 I was told they do not have a permit because the city is not handing out permits during Covid and that is it illegal to run a private camp on public city space without a permit. I hope that the park officers showed up and handed out a fine so that this does not happen again. If they are not compliant with Covid safety measures, how can they guarantee the safety and health of their campers!? I will NOT be sending my children to this camp. It was both informative and fun. You learn the basics on Olympic recurve archery and range safety. This sets you up to be self independent if you decide to shoot at any other range. After taking the lesson I signed up for their weekly lessons to improve my skills. It's a long waiting list due to demand but worth the wait. Their weekly lessons are set up in a different format. They coach each student based on their goals and skill level. The do not separate students based on skills. Archery is a very inclusive sport and they model their class based on this principle. As a coach, both Shawn and Andy have been beyond supportive. If I needed some last min tuning help or equipment check they will make time out of class to help. They even offered me rides to local tournaments when I needed help with transportation. I could not have asked for a better coach.
