Andrew gave me a extremely detailed estimate and three different shingle samples to choose from. My selections were made and a tear off and installation date was arraigned. On the designated date the Recon Roofing crew showed up on time, 7:30 am, and got right to work. They were efficient and mindful of my property. The work progressed rapidly. I was very impressed. There was no down time except for a lunch break. By 4:00pm the work was wrapping up and clean up commenced. And they left my property cleaner than they found it. They were gone at 4:30 pm. At 6:00pm Andrew came by to inspect the day's work. I'm thoroughly pleased. And the drone photos were a bonus. My roof looks great! And mowing my yards the next day I only found one nail. Seriously! Three of them responded quickly and provided in-depth project bids. I selected Chavez Roofing and Construction LLC and I'm glad I did. My house is a tall skinny with a steeply pitched roof. This project impacted not only me, but the neighbors on either side of me. Caleb and his crew had to fight with multiple demons of morning frost on the steep roof, and early sunset bringing the day to a close. The project took a bit longer than anticipated, however, each night before they left, they cleaned up the mess that inevitably lands between the houses. Caleb and crew were all polite and respectful of my neighbors and our properties. Caleb is a delight to work with. He communicates well and frequently, knows what he's talking about, and oozes sincerity and pride in his product. Oh, the 4th company? Him and his team were punctual, considerate of the mess and noise and did a phenomenal job. Even walked around with magnets to make sure my kids or dogs didn't step on a stray nail. He referred his uncle to me for house painting and he also was spectacular. At the end of the day they are good, kind, detail oriented people who have gained a massive fan. One knock on them that can't be left unsaid...he's a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Unfortunate, but nobody's perfect lol.

Then, the guy that came to our house seemed to be a little off put that I was the one there to talk to and not my husband. I counted 10 times he asked me when my husband was going to be home or saying how he wished my husband was there. He quoted me almost 40,000 for the roof not including the taking off and putting back on our solar panels. I kept telling him that we were going to be doing multiple other quotes the following day he but kept trying to convince me to go with them right then and there. I told him no, not until we get other quotes, I don't know how many times. He dropped the price down to 33,000 if I said yes but he just would not listen and i told him that this is a very large purchase and I am not going to be pressured into something like this so quickly but he still kept pushing. He was also very interested in the names of the other companies because he wanted to tell me if they were good companies or not. I did not have the names so he seemed a little bummed about that. I have a lot of patience but when I kept getting asked when the husband will be home I finally called my husband to tell him what was happening and how I was not thrilled with this guy. Luckily, my husband was a couple of minutes away and got home to see what the deal was. The guy went through the whole thing again with him. Got the price down to 27,000 but was telling us that we HAD to make a decision right then and there. My husband told him that we are doing the other quotes the next day and that he knew his selling tactics because he had to go through the same thing many years ago when he was a salesman and it wasn't going to pressure him. I remember that he also tried to guilt trip me into saying yes because it was taking time out of his day and taking other possible sales away from him. I caught him in at least 2 lies and one of them being that there weren't very many reviews on Yelp and all there reviews were great and that because they are part of the BBB they are the best. I have seen many companies part of the BBB and have a large amount of complaints so that held no validity for me and while we were talking I checked yelp and saw the reviews. Not only all of this, my folks went with DaBella for their siding and they were charged twice as much as they should have been. Then, the quality was very spotty and they had to have multiple things fixed. It took over a year to get someone out to their house to get this issues fixed as well. We most definitely did not go with DaBella and all of the other places we got quotes from were half the price and the company we went with has 5 stars, did not pressure us, was very down to earth, and been doing this profession for 25+ years. Be very wary of DaBella. They may have some good work but not in this area.
