They were very clear & communicative on their plan for the day. They were respectful & kind to us & each other, used clean language, got along with each other & joked around while still being professional. And they worked hard & fast! They were constantly moving, took care of our items & paid extra attention to items we were concerned about. After loading up, we fed them lunch. They were gracious & expressed gratitude for how TOS Academy had changed their lives & given them hope & purpose. They drove two hours to our new home & unloaded everything quickly & efficiently. I often saw them running to & from the truck, even though it meant going up & down a steep driveway & lots of stairs. They even put up bed frames & other items. It was a long, physical day for them. My dresser and my nightstand were rolled out on a dolly with just a blanket draped over the top -- the entire bottom fully exposed and unprotected. I have photo evidence. This wasn't a mistake. This was how they operate. One of their movers was missing for half the move, and the rest of the crew took 30 minutes to drive across the street. Yes, literally across the street. The level of carelessness and unprofessionalism was beyond anything I've ever experienced. When I confronted them with proof, they first admitted the crew took shortcuts -- then quickly flipped the script and tried to claim that throwing a blanket over a piece of furniture is their "standard practice." That's not a standard -- that's pure negligence, and they had the nerve to defend it. They refused to take accountability. They denied the damage was their fault. And instead of making it right, they offered me a half refund and called it a "goodwill gesture." This company is a scam. They cut corners, gaslight customers, and hide behind empty policies when they're called out. Avoid 801 Moving Company like your furniture depends on it -- because it does. So with the truck, fuel, hotels and food they both costed about the same. The Penske truck seemed cheaper but once you add up all the other stuff the cubes were actually a little cheaper. Also with the cubes I didn't have to take time off work, no stress of trying to figure out where I was going, traffic idiots that don't know how to drive and I knew my stuff was in professional hands. We put or stuff with U-pack storage which ended up being nice because we didn't close on our house for 2 1/2 weeks later than we expected. When I called to get my cubes delivered they showed up the next day as promised. The driver put them how I asked and it made it easier to unload. Thanks U-PACK for the great service. They also didn't move a single item, up and left when I told them I wouldn't pay for the piano to be moved. Thank goodness our neighbors came to our rescue. I wanted to post an honest review and I do not want anyone else to fall VICTIM to these sleazy scam…read moreartists. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE MUSCLE MEN MOVERS, THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS. I would leave less than a 1 star review but, its not allowed. I sold my home and needed to find a moving company. I found Muscle Men Movers and spoke to Parker who assured me he could move my 3800 square ft home absolutely no problem they did this work all day every day. I scheduled 4 weeks in advance of the move. I contacted them on the Monday before the move to confirm we were booked for 2 days, he said he only had me booked for 1 day. I remineded him he had confirmed with me the 2 days. I should have known in that moment things would not go well. He said he would do 1/2 day on day then move the rest on the next full day. They randomly showed up on my door no call no text the day before the first 1/2 day move. Luckily, I had everything ready so I told them go ahead. They charged $150 per hour the going rate. So they moved 1/3 of my stuff on that day to my storage unit. Upon telling me they were complete and me paying via PayPal by the way (again sketchy?) I received a call saying their truck was broken and could i give them a ride. I was 20 minutes away but I did so anyway. They were supposed to show up on Saturday morning, didn't tell me a time, but at 8:45ish I received a call telling me their truck was still broken and they woudldn't be coming... i said I would rent a Uhaul and he could send the actual movers he said no they needed to be together to fix the truck but was ASURED!!!! they would be there the next day. I've sold my home by the way and must be out. Well next day rolls around and you guessed it they didn't show up so I called Parker and he told me oh he is on the way and would be there in 5-10 minutes.. of course he didn't show up. That sleeze bucket lied to my face the other day and on the phone. What is worse he blocked me from finding a different mover because he flat out lied. So after he didn't show up I called and called and called he started sending calls to voice mail then he blocked his voicemail from receiving messages. This company and Parker (if that is his real name) is complete axx. The PayPal goes to Robert Balfour out of Tooele, UT so by all means DO NOT USE MUSCLE MEN MOVERS.
