We called this company to help us unload for a cross country move. When we got our quote from them, they asked about what furniture we would be unloading and what kind of truck we would be bringing. I explained all the furniture we had and stated we would be bringing a full 26' truck. When we arrived at our destination, they refused to unload anything but the main pieces of furniture. They wanted to charge us extra to move all the boxes we brought and claimed that we didn't inform them we'd be bringing boxes. Additionally they didn't unload anything to beyond the main room right inside the door of our new house. They stated it would be an extra charge to actually put the furniture in the right rooms (e.g. the beds in the bedrooms, the couch in the living room, etc. Overall, this company was a pain to work with. read more

I've been thru a lot and I was moving out of my place in a city I didn't have any connections in, my grandma out of state found them online and within 24 hours they were booked able and to help move my belongs to a storage unit twenty miles from where they first loaded up their truck and it all got done the same day, even on a budget. I had a small moving job-- moving a refrigerator from the main level of my home to the basement, then removing an old, broken water softener from the basement and disposing of it. Just 2 things, but both are large enough and heavy enough that a team of professional movers with proper equipment were needed to accomplish the tasks. Most of the movers I contacted didn't respond. Those that were interested gave me estimates that varied by almost $100, and then the other guys added on another $80-$100 fee for driving to Ogden from Salt Lake to do the job. Cordel did an in-person consultation so he could give me an accurate, reasonable price rather than quoting me a standardized rate & fee schedule with the caveat that the price could increase if the work wasn't what was expected. Cordel's estimate was lower than his competitors, with no caveats or additional fees, and his level of professionalism was outstanding. Cordel and his team were even able to complete the work later the same day. If you need a team of professionals, look no further, especially if you have a smaller job. read more

Lyons's Service very professional and timely in helping to move all the stuff from a 3000 sq ft house into the garage. They came on time with the estimate, provided fare pricing on Monday, then started the job on Thursday of the same week. The experience was pleasant and the quality of their work was excellent. To quote them "they love what they do, it's like being at summer camp everyday". They hauled away a trailer full of trash and wood without complaining. I'd hired them again. read more

These guys are amazing! At a moment's notice, I had to find movers to bring everything from a house in Salt Lake City to be transferred to Orem. I shotgunned my need on Yelp to about 12 movers, and nobody wanted my business even close to how much these guys wanted it. Within 3 hours of speaking to them over the phone, I had 5 movers to the house (including the owner!) and putting it in the truck. It was a 4 bedroom, 2 story house, fully furnished. They got it cleared out in 2 hours flat. They were professional, courteous, and in a hurry. There was not one single time that any of these 5 guys who just came from another big move showed either a desire or even the ability to drag out the time, which would have put me into another charged hour. They offered to help move it to Orem, and when I told them that I thought we could handle it- I was floored by the response. "If you get down there and find it is too much, give us a call and we will still come down and help you." They're out of Ogden!! And yet, they were extremely willing to tack on an additional 2-4 hours of driving down here to "happy valley", even if they had returned to Ogden. I want to do business with people who want my business, and who show it out of the gate. Lyons Services wants my business, and your business, and they are eager and willing to prove to you that they have the best service around. Go with them. You will not regret it. read more

I highly recommend Lyons Services! Cordel and his crew of amazing movers came through when I was hanging on a wing and a prayer. My mom was finally moving out of her home, which was a true iceberg of a task; things everywhere, both seen and packed tightly away under the surface. She had been chipping away at it for weeks, but when the date finally came, she was in tears and nowhere near being out of the house. I found and called Lyons by chance (and by blessing), as they were one of the few moving companies who happened to not only be open on a Saturday when I called, but would work on a Sunday, and was willing to shift things around so his crew could also be available for a last minute grandiose undertaking. They showed up the next morning after booking them, and while they didn't have a proper truck to accommodate due to being quite impromptu, Cordel went out of his way to make sure they had adequate equipment, the team worked all day in the rain, pretty much moved my moms entire home in 12hrs, was willing to stay later to make sure the job was completed, came back a few days after for the finishing touches, and even played liaison with the new owner of the house, explaining the delay and proving that yes, an iceberg of things can indeed be moved with the right team. I found out later that the Lyons team had actually underwent training as to how to be more patient, psychologically understanding, and empathetic when working with people who have hoarding tendencies. Nothing is perfect, but looking back on the whole "mom's moving" experience, all the cost-saving measures, friends to help, short-cuts in the world wouldn't have been enough; it took a team of Lyons to make this move happen as smoothly and efficiently as it did.
