My son loves Alotte Horses. Not only did he learn how to properly ride a horse, but he also learned how to brush their hair, clean their hoofs, how to clean after the horse and a lot of fun details about horses. The class included circle time at the beginning of the class, cleaning, brushing and caring for the horse, riding and sometimes even art. Ms. Ashley is no longer a teacher there, but she was wonderful and I loved how caring and patient she was with the kids. Wonderful horseback riding classes for all kid ages.

So much fun on their first ride!

The first…read moretime, we went for JUST A CLAW TRIM; and he came back, shaking and with his tail curled in & with a weirdly swollen bottom. Within five hours, that turned into an anal gland abscess that WAS NOT THERE before; he had never had this issue and never has suffered from it since. So I chalked this experience up to "maybe they thought he needed it done because he is little/or maybe it's a coincidence."...and didn't come back till today, about two years later. Fast forward to today; I came in, explaining that a) my dog is not mean or bite-y, but is TERRIBLE at getting his nails trimmed, FULL disclosure. I normally do it, but it's a goat rodeo. I remind them NOT to squeeze his butt, and say, if you can't do it, it's ok. I have to step out because if he can see me, he will cry. No worries if they CAN'T do it. My dog has been with me all day and night, as usual, and is in fine spirits. 15 minutes later, I walk in, he is tied to a railing and crying (ok, he's a Dramatic Little Dog) and I come to pay and collect him, expecting to pay, apologize for his shrieks and tip heavily. The woman who I entrusted my dog to was COMPLETELY HOSTILE and says "Your dog CANNOT BE TRIMMED" and I said, "that's ok, did you get any of them done?" And she said, "-AND! His DEW CLAW IS BROKEN." As though *I* had done something to him. Ummmm...FIFTEEN MINUTES AGO he had been FINE. Now a streak of blood is on his chest, his foot is bleeding! his nail is BROKEN and he is clearly very sad, trembling and hurt. Not only does this woman NOT EVEN APOLOGIZE, she goes on to say "well, I don't KNOW, but it's broken NOW." Seriously? Had she even trimmed ONE SINGLE NAIL without BREAKING it and then trying to blame ME, I would have paid full price. Deductive reasoning says; I won't be going back here. Beware! 2 stars as it is clean and I have seen that they do a nice job grooming the fluffy haired pups.

Animal Holistic - Freeway enjoying his happy place thanks to Dr. Kim

He was able to walk and move around on his own but it was visibly painful for him to do so. He was unable to jump and he refused to play or go for walks. All he wanted to do was sleep. Going potty even seemed like a chore for him because walking was painful. My boy left his first visit with Dr. Kim being able to walk without pain. He jumped into my small SUV before I could bend down to pick him up following his second visit with her. The third visit was a turning point because he jumped off of her treatment table for the 1st time and acted like he had never been injured. Dr. Kim told us to rest him in his crate after this particular appointment because he felt so good after his 1st 2 appointments that he did too much and ended up in pain again. When we let him out of his crate after his rest period, he started playing, running, jumping and acting like his normal rambunctious self. He never slipped back into pain again but he saw Dr. Kim a couple more times just for good measure because we were moving out of state. Dr. Kim is THE BEST canine chiropractor that I've ever known. She's extremely gentle and her treatments are effective and efficient. I love that her previous background in therapeutic bodywork carried over into her practice because my boy got way more than just a chiropractic adjustment. Dr. Kim doesn't just " treat 'em and street 'em."She educates you about what she's doing and includes you in the treatment process. She actually took the time to teach me things that I could do with my boy at home to promote his healing and strengthening. She found the root cause of my boy's pain and was able to treat/fix his problem. His symptoms completely disappeared once she fixed his problem (his sacrum was stuck). She's truly AMAZING and I haven't been able to find another doggie chiropractor like her. Dr. Kim also did a great job treating my husband and me for our aches and pains. I love that she can treat pets AND humans. She's one of a kind and I miss her.

They treated my husband and me with respect and worked with us to make our rescue happen. We have another dog, and they let us bring our dog in over a period of weeks to get Casper used to the idea of having a brother. The wonderful and diverse volunteers and the CARL management team used their own funds(and a lot of love) to nurse Jake back to health. We were fortunate to come across CARL and to have Jake adopt us! It is important to mention that CARL gets some of its funding from the private kennel they run at the same site. If they treat the paid "guests" to anything near as well as the rescue, then your dog(s) are in for a treat(and you are helping to fund the shelter). The place is large, with three large and enclosed lawn areas. Many volunteers are constantly playing with, walking, or sneaking the rescue dogs some treats. Please consider them when you need a kennel or if you are considering a new "family member."

Before I started taking lessons my previous experience was minimal...trail rides and very basic care. I had even taken a fall off of one that was running to the barn (and knowing what I know now I would not have been on that horse to start with.) Prior to lessons I was intimidated and maybe even a little fearful. All of that washed away in my first lesson. What I love the most is that she makes sure you see the whole picture from the first step into the barn to putting them back out. She helps you understand why the movements are so important and how in return the horse is reading them. Imme is a natural teacher and provides clear instruction. I would recommend Imme to new and veteran riders alike (I've been riding my whole life).
