The flavors were ok, but everything leaned a bit too smoky for me which was a little unexpected and the cabbage overwhelmed the burrito more than it complimented them. Not sure if that's just the style of the food from the region, it just wasn't for me that night, but my other half seemed to enjoy it. That said, I still really appreciate what this spot is all about. Everything is made to order, from tacos and mulitas to quesadillas and their Sunday-only barbacoa (get there early if you want to try it--it's first come, first served!). What keeps me rooting for them is that they're a non-profit and proceeds go toward supporting the children and youth of local churches. So even if my meal wasn't as memorable this time, I'm still happy to support a business that's doing good in the community. Would I go back? The Hookipa came with beef & veggies & the Hana came with chicken & veggies. They were both crispy & hot, very juicy & filling was generous, but I think I liked the Hookipa better.
