    Pineapple Dole whip ~$5-6
    Christine N.

Nice alternative area for Dole whip soft serve in the Queens hotel first level. We stopped by for desserts after dinner at Deck upstairs. Tip: If you arrive during business hours and the lights are off and doors happen to be closed, stick around for a few minutes as the owner/staff working might be by themselves and stepped away to use the restroom.

We were on our way to Honolulu zoo and was craving the dole whip. The worker who greeted us had a positive energy and told us there was only mix pineapple and mango whip available. It was fine because that's what we wanted to cool us down. It was really good and worth it!

Pineapple dole whip! Yes, the same one at Dole plantation and Disneyland. It was delicious. If you are at the zoo, stop by there to get some. It's located in Queen Kapiolani, across the street from the zoo. The lady who worked there is really nice. She showed aloha to even us local people. It's a small store, but we ate it in the lobby area.

I've been wanting to check this place out after seeing the pics on Instagram. The products themselves are very Instagrammable, but in reality, it's something totally different. I bought a couple of slushies for my sons - $4.75 for each slushie, and it tasted like syrup (since it's made with 100% syrup lol). I really wanted to try the Dole Whip or Hawaiian Frost soft serve, but I couldn't get myself to pay those prices. If you're looking for a refreshing local treat, I would go elsewhere.

Original/Strawberry Dole Whip Float in POG slush

Whoa! Don't miss out on this little gem if you're visiting the Honolulu Zoo or just hanging out on Waikiki Beach. Slushies, Dole whip, and...Dole Whip Slushies?? I was honestly surprised how hard I had to look for Dole whip when our mainland friends were visiting, as Dole Plantation is BONKERS with the current tourist rush, and only a handful of places in Waikiki serve it (Lawson, Kokoro?). Right at the front of Waikiki, tucked into the renovated Queen Kapiolani Hotel, Aloha Whip has what you need. We wanted to try all the raved about things, so we did a Dole whip swirl (pineapple and strawberry) in a POG slush. Amazing combination and double amazing on a hot day. The only letdown was the strawberry whip - it tasted artificial and tart, nowhere as good as the original. I was hoping for a haupia or ube to swirl, but I guess we'll have to come back another day!

The Aloha whip was so good!!! First time here. First time to try their mango and pineapple whip. It was not too sweet. It was perfect for hot days in Hawaii. Pineapples and mangos are very popular here. Of course it might be artificial flavours, but it was so soft with ice (not icecream). People usually walked to the store. It's hard to find parking in Hawaii in general. The store was small, but there were lots of seats and tables within the building (hotel). This was like the whip that you could try at Dole Plantation but this one was so much closer to hotels in Waikiki. Walkable distance!

Fresh, cool, refreshing clean flavors of Pineapple, Strawberry and Mango Whip, the island's specialty. Dairy and Gluten free, you simply cannot go wrong. They have other offerings of icees: Pineapple or what they call Pauva (Passionfruit and Guava mixed). ALL are divine. You can also pick up a blow-up Dole Pineapple or Banana or coffees and juices. Any of these fruity treats will cool off some of the island heat.

The dole whip was amazing ! Great customer service and they have good recommendations ! The best in town

all the flavors mixed. Dole whip.

Hit this place up after hanging out at the beach. Really refreshing and reasonably priced (for being right across the street from the beach). Find it on the ground floor of Queen Kapiolani hotel tucked away in the corner. Like all dole whip, it's dairy free. I recommend mixing all their flavors together for the whole experience.

We went to the Dole Plantation today and the lines were crazy, so I was on the hunt for Dole Whip. Aloha Whip came up on a list so I decided to give it a try. This is a little shop in the lobby of a hotel in the heart of downtown Honolulu. So that means parking is bad! The Dole Whip Slush we got made up for all of that. I got Blue Hawaiian slush with pineapple Dole whip. They have a ton of flavors so I'll have to go back to mix and match. Service was fast and friendly. This was definitely worth the trip.

This location is inside the Queen Kapiolani hotel lobby so it may be a little harder to find but since I was staying at the hotel, I knew I had to hIt up this cute little spot! I ordered a strawberry dole whip and even requested toppings, which they don't normally give, but the girls happily gave them to me! The small whip is very tiny so I suggest the regular size, and I'm in love with the flavor! Definitely very happy with this place. I also ended up buying a small gift from their counter as well. They offer little soaps and decorations at a reasonable price!

Then we ate it. And honestly, it was worth every penny. The ice cream was excellent. Kona coffee, ube, vanilla, chocolate chip cookie dough, strawberry, everything we tried worked. But the thing that made it special was the texture. The shaved/crushed peanuts, the macadamia, the way it all came together with the ice cream and crepe. Simple idea, but done right. Rich, crunchy, cold, soft, sweet and somehow not heavy. The service was the other surprise. The girls working that night were incredible. Warm, patient and genuinely sweet with my kids. They walked us through flavors, helped us figure out what to order and made the whole thing feel fun instead of transactional. My son loved watching the peanuts get shaved and the Super Smash Bros. setup was such a random, perfect touch. It gave the place personality. I came in thinking this was going to be overpriced dessert. I left thinking it was one of the best things we ate on the trip. Five stars. No notes. I'll absolutely be back.

I have been to several Malasada places in Hawaii but | love…read morethere's the best for the following reasons: 1. the size of the malasadas: some restaurants tend to make their Malasadas smaller and when places do this it ruins the overall texture and quality of it. The bigger the malasadas size the more airy and fluffy and more bread layers that will be inside. 2. their malasadas always taste fresh and the same quality each time. 3. their malasadas don't feel oily or heavy at all Overall I would highly recommend this place for their Malasadas! I'm so happy to have found them. I can back multiple times on my trip. They also have other desserts too that I have yet to try. They have ice cream, cakes, and other desserts Also tip: if you are ordering a malasada also order a coffee or a matcha drink to go with it. The cinnamon sugar from the malasada just matches so perfectly with a drink this restaurant is also a nice place for walking! There's lot of stores and restaurants to walk around! I'm trying to remember but I think there was a book off that was not too far from here! If you either drive or maybe walk. Service: staff was super helpful and friendly while I was there. I was having an issue with my online order because my phone was being glitchy and they were so nice in helping :) Also wanted to note their branding is so cute!! They even sell merch items too

However, there are many alternative malasada purveyors throughout Honolulu, so I depended on local vloggers to find the best ones. This one popped up often on YouTube, and as luck would have it, we were dining at The Pig & The Lady on the next block. How calorifically convenient. We took the opportunity to stop by for a pre-dinner snack since they closed at 6PM. It's a cute shop with multiple sweets including quite a selection of housemade ice cream and delectable mouthfuls called Cake Bombs (Photo 10). We decided we would be good and ordered one unfilled Malasada each. Dusted with various sugar flavors, they were just $2.65 a piece. I went for the Coffee, while Jamie chose the daily special, Cinnamon (Photo 6). They were soft and tasty, quite comparable to Leonard's albeit a tad smaller. That wasn't necessarily a bad thing since we had dinner ahead of us. However, we let temptation get the best of us and shared a $5.50 slice of the Ube Haupia Mac Nut Bar, a yummy combination of sweet potato and ube topped with haupia (coconut milk pudding) on a macadamia nut crust (Photo 9). Truth be told, it stole the show from the malasadas. FOOD - 4 stars... the malasadas were good, but that ube dessert was next level AMBIANCE - 4 stars...really a takeout operation with a lot of temptations SERVICE - 4 stars...very calm and orderly TOTAL - 4 stars...yet another spot for sweet Hawaiian decadence RELATED - Exploring Hawaii? Standard generous portion for a bingsu location, notably generous for an Ala Moana location. The location itself was free of insects despite being on a ground floor location with sugary desserts everywhere. Meh: The $14 (including 15% tip) dessert tasted too light and ice-like and appeared more translucent (rather than opaque white) than expected, leading me to think the milk was watered down, which may be how the establishment can make up the cost for the portion size while maintaining a spot in Ala Moana, especially given milk prices in Hawai'i, even if you're buying from Costco or direct from farmers. Also, tables were not cleaned after each party departed; that transparent puddle on your table might not be condensation and may instead be drool drops from the toddler who sat there before you. Overall: Good (not outstanding) experience. Knocked off 2 stars for combination of suspected diluted milk + unclean tables.
