They aren't cheap, but I am in my poke bowl era right now, and Hawaii Poke is the only poke bowl to-go place near my boyfriend's house. We had gotten take out from here about a year ago but I never bothered to write a review until now. Located in a very busy shopping plaza, Hawaii Poke is a happy sight among all the chain restaurants nearby. The interior is plain and basic and the counter with the ingredients is nothing fancy, but it was a popular place at 1:30pm on a Friday afternoon! So that's a good sign. So not only was I trying to be healthy, I was also trying to be cheap so I only got the one scoop build your own bowl ($11.99) and no extras. Portions are surprisingly large, as you can see in my picture, and it took me about an hour to eat when I got home. After getting unlimited toppings at AA Poke in Fort Wayne, I am always now sad to see when poke places limit the number of toppings. But anyway, let's briefly mention the quality of ingredients. The tuna I got wasnt the freshest and the carrots looked a bit brown but everything else was tasty! I also liked the sweet chili sauce I got. And I will never get a poke bowl that doesn't have edamame. Edamame is a must! This might still be a high calorie lunch(sauces and rice are not low calorie!) but I FEEL healthy and that was what was most important for my mental health today.

Affordable and delicious! I gotta be honest, I was nervous about ordering raw fish in Indiana, but…read morethis was just as fresh as any standard poke place I've had elsewhere on the mainland. The servings are generous, I'm always satisfied after eating here. It's never been busy and the service is fast. I often order for pickup, which says it will take 20 min, but it's always ready in about 10. There's plenty of stool- counter seating if you want to dine in. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the area!

I liked the ubi dessert, though I don't think that was cheesecake lol. All in all a good experience and heading back. Not sure how to rate the Ambiance, it was okay, place was much too big with a bunch of tables. Felt like there was a lot they could do with it. but Not quite sure what the ambiance was supposed to be.

I failed to write a review of my dinner here last year but I enjoyed my sushi, I remember that! This year, my dinner was only so-so. Both years, however, the service wasn't great. So half of this large space is brightly lit while the other half is way too dark. Last year, our pictures were all bad since we sat in the dark half. This year, we sat in the well lit space and now I have okay pictures sort of haha. It was decorated for Christmas with lights and small decorations. This year, I ordered the tuna poke bowl ($24) which comes with a ginger salad and miso soup, as well as a rose tea ($5). The rose tea was very diluted. I was disappointed. Our absent waitress failed to stop by anytime within the first 20 minutes, so I had to flag down another server to replace the tea with something better, the lychee black tea which I did enjoy, although it contained caffeine, which I was trying to avoid. My boyfriend got two sushi rolls and was still hungry after he finished his rolls. Fortunately, another person didn't have an appetite that night and shared his food. It is still odd that $20 of sushi wasn't filling. In my opinion, the food is good but overpriced. They have a very good drink list with expensive wines to cheap teas. As many others have mentioned, the service was basic and not so attentive nor frequent, especially when I was desperate for new tea. Here's hoping for a better experience at our next holiday meal here!
