Sunday October 2 I got a pedicure. They welcomed me, told me to chose color and then I sat down in the pedicure chair right away. Water was almost full.... She immediately pulls my feet out & starts working. No time to soak and no salts no bubbles nothing. I asked to allow my feet to soak. I have a healing broken foot so I wanted to relax, allow time for my skin to soften. Couple minutes go by she takes them out and does the pedicure. I chose the second level of pedicure $42 sounded reasonable for what you get I suppose ... every time I tried talking to her asking a question she clearly didn't speak any English. Like at ALL. Frustrating... I'm trying to be patient but when it came time to pay shw rings me up for $62!!! I'm sorry WHAT? Ok $5 for fixing an acrylic toe nail (which I expected.) but not $20 more!!! I asked what the $15 increase is from and the manager who DOES speak English, says it's for gel. So why didn't anyone TELL ME that when they said to "chose a color" ... she laughs and says "you been here before" ummm yeah 4 years ago and I don't recall gel being $15!! So I said fine I paid it but some communication on pricing BEFORE you apply the service should be necessary. Typical nail shop scam..... I paid $62 for a subpar pedicure (she didn't even have to massage my right foot so it technically was LESS work!) The worst part of this all is it's been 4 days and the $15 GEL POLISH I paid EXTRA for has already peeled off. See photo. Today 10/6/22. One of the best mani and pedi I've ever had. It was my first time here and it was a Friday evening. I was expecting chaos and getting the rushed treatment. I was completely wrong. I had some pretty tough weeks so needed to relax. i had mani and pedi totaling to $95 which i think is quite expensive for the service they provide... they are not trained or well skilled... the lady who did my nails just filled the top of my nails( i rarely get my nails done so my natural nails were perfectly fine..) she filled it a lot to make it rough... which if professionally done they dont really need to file the top of your nail... After 4 days the polish is coming off... i had my nails done at some other places in the past and the ones that are really good last you for over 3 weeks... This store looks nice. Very pleasing to the eye although they need to learn how to use a broom and dustpan. The owner is your average nail salon owner, her name is Mindy. She was doing 20 things at once. She was distracted the entire time. She cut my real nails very short and even nicked the top of my finger. Ouch? Yes. She then put the acrylic nails on and asked where I wanted the length. She then ended up filing them almost to the tip of my finger, which was 1) WAY SHORTER THAN THE LENGTH I TOLD HER. 2) She the filed my right hand down way shorter than my left. This was because she was busy and so behind and not paying attention. 3) We had an appt at 1pm and she didn't start on me until after 2pm. So I was already annoyed. I decided to mention it to her when I went to pay (she didn't apologize) and she got all defensive. I would have been happy if she gave me a $5 discount. But no, she didn't really care and went on with her day. Check out my uneven length thumb photo too BTW... She said I could have fixed your nails.. but really.. I didn't have another hour to sit through that entire ordeal again. I will definitely not be letting her go near my nails again. Beware!!! If you come here you should ask for Tina. Tina is awesome. Received recommendations to try Aloha Nails from the Livermore R&R FB Page. The staff was nice, did not have to wait for a walk in appointment for a regular mani and pedi. I didn't notice how crummy the nail paint job was until I was at din. Take a look at my pictures. Most of my nails had the second coat of paint not even cover the first coat, and my thumb, the paint didn't cover my entire nail. The paint began to chip off within 2 days. I have been a long time customer of Aloha nails with Mindy as the manager. Recently Mindy has sold Aloha nails and the new owner /manager is Lani. Of course I was reticent and nervous about using the services now that Mindy has moved on. However, Aloha has many of the same service associates, and Lani has does an amazing job on my recent gel fill. I was delighted and happy that services are of the same quality, you'd expect from Mindy. One item that, of course no one likes to hear, is that the prices of Aloha Nails or a tad bit higher. There is no sign that says cash only but FYI they only take cash for payment and they charge you to use their ATM... I find this a very annoying practice in the Nail industry LOL... You're already saving money by not taking credit cards you have no warning sign or say anything when you make an appointment to let people know to bring cash and then you charge them to use your machine just so they can pay you. I get a very basic manicure and it is a nice setting, Samantha specifically was a lovely salon person to talk to... But I likely won't be back because I prefer not to have to bring cash with me. read more

Quick, friendly, comfortable! A great job in a clean environment with, as others have mentioned, nice massage chairs. All in all, everything I look when I'm in a new area and need a pedicure. I went in today around 6:30pm (they close at 7pm) I needed to get my eyebrows done really bad, and that's what I originally went there for but of course I had to ask if I could get a full set acrylic. They were very welcoming, even remembered my name :] (definite plus in my book) Another lady showed up maybe 10-15 min. after me and they welcomed her in also, very nice staff :) Correction: I miss spelled her name in my first review it is Lynn not Lin. She did a wonderful job on my nails, even though it was close to closing time, she didn't do a rush job like I would have expected from other nail places. I will be back soon, I am due for a pedicure, since summer wants to come early. lol. read more

This used to be one of my favorite places in town to go. The place is clean and the redecorating looks great. Service for the most part is also very good... However the quality has gone way down! I had an appointment with friends for mani/pedis and when we got there, we still had to wait 30 minuets for chairs. 2 hours later, we all left with rough heels after paying for the higher pedicure packages and as for my nails... I will let the picture speak for itself. This is a day later after showering and grocery shopping! I'm so embarrassed that I bragged on this place to my friends and even more disappointed that I paid $70, only to come home and have to completely redo my nails my self. Two things I really liked about Aloha was the massage was the best one I ever got at a nail place before. She really kneaded the bottoms of my feet and legs and being pregnant I really needed that. I also liked that I could really pick what I wanted. Alot of places have these packages that include three or four things and I'm not a fan of the salt scrub so I got the regular manicure and added the hot oil massage. You could get a longer massage or salt scrub etc. My toes look great , even cut and cute flower design. The only issue was the massage chair I had was broke and was not moving up and down but stayed in the same place. I'll be back for sure. read more

I've come here twice now. Both times I got the dry skin pedi, the first time I also got a regular manicure. There is one awesome woman, but everyone else I've encountered is awful. The first time, the woman who did my mani forgot a top coat and was completely rude the entire time. This last time, the woman doing my pedi SNEEZED on my leg. She also kept commenting on how dry my heels were which is just obnoxious. And before my pedi even started she was adjusting the foot bowl thing and placed the dirty wet drain cover on my (torn and already gross) seat without wiping it up after. I have gone a few times to this place and can say I love it. Very clean and great pedicure and acrylic nail experience! Mia did my pedicure yesterday and it was amazing, I throughly enjoyed the massage. Mia also did a fill for me and she was so nice and great to work with. I think part of the problem is that they leave old product on the wall for clients to choose from. However, the woman working on my nails wasn't remotely interested in detail. I tried to give Aloha Nails the benefit of the doubt after my first experience, however was sadly disappointed after my second. If you do go, I would not recommend letting The guy do your nails. He is rough, he hurts you, and doesn't seem to care when you say something. His response is, well you shouldn't get your nails done then. The manager/owner doesn't seem to care too much about the customers feedback either. She'll ignore you if you say something and then overcharge you. Be careful about tipping... Sadly after going to Aloha Nails for at least two years I've moved on to a much better salon. Aloha has gone downhill over the last 6-8 months and I no longer want the inconsistency and basic lack of caring there used to be. Seems every 3 weeks when I'd go there'd be new people working , not overly friendly nor doing a great job. What happened to taking time with cuticle softener and really focusing on that as a routine step. Nope not the last few months and one day later dryness and ugliness. Seems anymore you're just a number so they can make more money. Don't need them to be my BFF but after 2+ years I do expect better than what currently is there. It takes a lot to WOW me where a nail salon is concerned. I feel like they're all kinda the same. Well I've been meaning to write a review when they got us out of a "teenage prom nail drama" situation. After they helped me out again today I couldn't put it off any longer. Last month my daughter got her nails done a my (used to be) go-to nail place and they were horrible. Trying to find a nail place to re-do her nails the day before prom was set to be a nightmare. Well I called aloha, explained the situation and they said "come right in". 30 mins later her nails looked great. Fast forward to today I had a nail that broke. Aloha did my shellac nails 2 weeks ago and 1 broke. I came in just to have the 1 repaired and they didn't charge me because "they should last longer than 2 weeks and if only 1 broke something was wrong" really? WOW! I've never have a nail place warranty anything having to do with nails. They could have easily charged me $5 to fix it and I would have gladly paid it but nope, they fixed it free.
