Used Aloha on recommendation from a friend. Paul is great - he stopped by same day for a quote and explained everything along the way. He explained where I would be able to lower the cost and the pros and cons of the different moving scenarios. Since I wasn't sure how much help I'd need as I had tons of stuff and limited time to pack, he did a quote for the all-inclusive move if I were to get zero packing done and also for a move if I got all the packing done. This was definitely beneficial to help me decide how much work I was willing to do and allowed me to know ahead of time how to prioritize my time. On moving day, the guys were all great - very courteous and good communication which was much appreciated given I had stuff to move, to donate, and to take to the dump. Nothing got moved that was intended for donation or dump. Also, nothing got broken. At the end of move, I realized my check book was in one of the many boxes and wasn't able to pay Aloha but Paul was very understanding and patient and handled it like it has happened many times in the past. During the hectic time of moving and all the stressors involved, the calmness that Paul and Aloha brought was very much needed and appreciated! I have no hesitancy recommending Aloha. read more

I used Aloha moving after getting a recommendation from a friend. Paul and his team were WONDERFUL! I've moved 3 times in the last 6 years and Aloha was by far the best moving experience I've had. Paul was very professional and gave me a quote and told me where I could save money. The movers were very professional and efficient, getting the job done faster than I anticipated. Moving is one of the most stressful things I've experienced and Paul and his team made this move the easiest one ever. I highly recommend Aloha Moving! read more

Don't walk, run! The experience was unforgettably weird. I've lived in this town for decades and have moved a few times, always hiring movers. The guys I usually hired weren't available the weekend I needed to move. A friend of mine referred me to Aloha who I called for a quote. Their charge was over $1,000, and they said it would take three guys nine hours. The two professionals who I hired did the job in 2.5 hours and charged me $300. You do the math and customer service analysis. read more

Paul and his Aloha team have been our overs twice in the past year and also moved my grandparents from Santa Barbara to San Diego. They were so easy to work with and professional. Paul checked in with me before each move, he and/or his movers showed up on time, were clearly experienced, worked efficiently and took good care of our belongings and homes. Our moves involved lots of flights of stairs and narrow hallways and large furniture items and appliances. Nothing was damaged in the slightest. On top of everything, I shopped quotes and their estimate was very competitive. It was not the lowest, but unlike the others, Paul actually came to meet me and accessed what we needed to move and calculated the amount of time which resulted in a very accurate estimate. I highly recommend this company for local or long distance moves. read more

Professional and fast. I know we don't have a lot of stuff and it wasn't far, but still. It took them a little over 2 hours to move 2 beds, a couch, a table, chairs, 2 dressers, 3 book cases, 2 trunks, a room full of boxes across town to an upstairs condo that was a walk from the street. Paul was very professional and easy to reach while we were preparing and during the move. read more

After 12 previous moves on my own with the help of friends, I decided to call in professional help for my 13th. It was the right decision. I couldn't be more pleased with Aloha Moving. Paul was a true professional from the very beginning. He arrived on time for my estimate, and he clearly explained what to expect from the moving process. The cost was fair and reasonable, and I was especially pleased that he guaranteed the final cost not to exceed an additional 10% should time run over. The final cost was exactly as quoted. On moving day, Paul and his crew showed up as scheduled. After I signed the paperwork, Larry and John were left to do the move. They were courteous and personable, and most importantly, efficient. At least half of my belongings had to be moved upstairs, and it was so nice to have someone else do the heavy lifting. Aloha Moving did in a few hours what used to take me a day-and-a-half. I highly recommend Aloha and will call them for my next move. read more

I can't say enough wonderful things about Aloha Moving! Paul, the owner, and his crew were on time and boy do they work fast! They took so much stress out of the moving process for me. Very warm, courteous and conscientious of my moving items and where to place them. They went above and beyond my expectations and I would recommend them in a heartbeat!!! 5 stars is not enough! Thanks Aloha Moving!!! read more

Paul and his crew were incredible. We felt taken care of from the beginning to the end! Paul came over and gave us a quote, he was on time and very thorough. We made our moving plans and unfortunately our escrow did not close on time so we had to change our move plans which was stressful and awful. Paul was the consummate professional and instead of making an already difficult situation more stressful put our fears to rest and told us he would be there for us, which he was. Moving day came and Paul and the crew were right on time! I have never seen guys move so fast and carefully. Paul led a lot of the more technical things like a difficult TV and appliance situation that needed more care. The whole crew was really awesome and helpful to me, especially because my husband ended up being out of town because of the delayed timing on our closing. Again, I felt really taken care of by these guys. I would give them more stars if I could. read more

Aloha Moving did a fantastic job of moving my furniture recently. Paul was able to give me a reasonable and accurate estimate over the phone and was right on time as scheduled. His team (Armando and Dave) were careful, professional, and fast! The move was done so efficiently that it came in under the estimated price! I would highly recommend Paul and Aloha Moving to anyone looking for a reliable, careful, responsible moving company. read more

I have hired Aloha several times and can't speak highly enough about them. Paul's team is always careful, conscientious, professional, hard-working, and thoughtful. When ever I have moving needs, I just call Aloha and the work is done. Thanks for another great move, guys. read more

These guys are amazing. They moved heavy furniture from a two story house into another very hard to bring upstairs two story house. Everything went quickly and smoothly and the estimate was actually less than the actual move cost us. Hopefully we won't be moving again- but if anyone is looking for an excellent experience moving Aloha is it! read more

Amazing- the least stressful thing about moving is the actual physical moving of your life because Paul and his team take care of all the hard work for you and are genuinely friendly about it. Thanks- my first time home ownership started out right with your help. read more

We had Paul and Larry work in our law office moving around furniture, rugs, boxes of legal documents to our basement storage, etc. They were detailed, speedy, prepared, and followed through on every single task. They even worked in detail to move the rugs and desks inch by inch until they were right. I highly recommend Aloha moving, great experience. read more

I was blown away by Paul and his team. I was going to get estimates on a short move to Carp from a couple of people, but the way Paul spoke and his obvious integrity told me to give him the job. I was not disappointed. He came a couple of days before the move to ensure his truck could get up the tight driveway. When I purchased my boxes at Pacific Paper, the owner ensured me I had hired one of the best. The day of the move, he was right on time with three guys who worked so hard and fast, they could wring the sweat out of their shirts. Paul's favorite phrase to his team is "Be mindful." One fellow in particular, Larry, was truly exceptional. I have a very large armoire and when it was originally brought up the stairs, it damaged the walls. Larry took the doors off the big window and they took it out through there...I wish I could post the videotape! All in all, an exceptional move done in amazing time and $300 below the original estimate. I cannot sing Aloha Moving's praises more highly. read more

Wow, I'm using my Mom's computer to try to move her into assisted living (actually I'm not using her computer to actually do the move and shit, you know whut I mean?) and I don't really even have a fucking clue who Aloha Moving is yet, but this shitsucking predictive technology already had a review from me at the top of the list before I've even started my Mom's move! Maybe Aloha Moving is great, maybe they suck slimy rat balls (I really don't know), but what a cluster-fuck of a world (that's the only certain part). Did your AI algorithm get this part, YELP? Is this your first future review ever? Am I actually Doctor Who or something? Can someone puhleeze help me? read more

These guys moved our furniture into our apartment. Well, everyone does that--but what set them apart was really great service. We had a lot of stuff, so it took a little longer, but they kept at it, and brought it all in for the agreed price. The team leader was great about coordinating with another, separate specialist mover who brought my wife's baby grand piano in. All in all, we are very pleased, would use them again, and recommend them to our friends. read more

Wish there err 10 stars to pick because Paul Croonquist, owner of Aloha Moving deserves this and more. Customer service these days seems to no longer exist but not so with this company. Integrity, honesty and responsibility are all values that are served up with exuberance to his clients. Paul prides himself on setting himself apart from other companies by living his values in all that he does. There's is no other choice on the central coast for moving and storage. Aloha! read more

Paul was very pushy towards me at first, arguing for his higher rates. I gave him the benefit of the doubt but the dealbreaker was when he was somewhat inappropriately flirtatious. He also seems to have one of those personalities where if you don't "worship" him, you're outta luck. To all the single ladies..beware! read more

In the past 8 months, I have used Aloha Moving 3 times. I was so pleased with them during the first move, that I was happy to hire them twice more. Here are some specifics. Prior to my first move, I interviewed and got quotes from 3 different moving companies. Although each moving company owner seemed capable and organized, I ended up choosing Aloha Moving for the following reasons. Paul, the owner, was very clear in communicating what I could expect from his company on moving day. Because this was the first time I had used a professional moving company, all the details were important to me. I also appreciated the time he took to explain his contract. Although I know that there are generic industry standard contracts for moving companies, I appreciated that he explained the ins and outs of it. Most importantly, what came across to me when I met Paul was how sincere he was to do the best job possible so that his customer was pleased with his service. When he substantiated that comment by saying that he knows his business's reputation is everything, I knew he was sincere. My situation was that I was moving all of my furniture and household items into the garage of the home that I was remodeling. It would stay there for several months until part of the remodel was partially finished. Knowing this, Paul wrapped my mattresses and couches well so that they stayed pristine during the move, but also were protected while in my dirty garage. They positioned my 30+ labeled boxes so that I could access them if necessary. When it came time to move furniture into the house, it was only into the downstairs, where the remodeling was finished. Aloha Moving was very careful in protecting my door thresholds and hardwood floors with blankets. They also were very respectful of my wish that they didn't tread on the carpet with shoes. When the upstairs remodel was complete, I asked Paul and his crew to move most of my furniture there. They took the same care with everything. I had a few items that had to be threaded through narrow doors! Not once did they ding or scratch any walls or corners. They patiently disassembled then reassembled my King size bed stand and positioned everything just the way I liked it. Next, they moved the remaining furniture that had been stored in the garage into my home. Rats had left some evidence of their presence on my daughter's melamine bookshelves, but Paul asked me for some paper towels and cleaner and took care of it. Each time Paul and his crew worked for me, the moves were done thoughtfully and expeditiously. Boy do they work hard! I highly recommend Aloha Moving because of their good communication skills, knowledge and experience, and their desire to provide the best possible service. read more

This was the best moving experience I've ever had!. They treated everything of mine as if it were priceless. They had to move us from our home and then get things out of our storage unit (of course everything was at the back and bottom!). They set up everything at the end and came out under estimate! They were professional and nice. I would recommend them every time. read more
