Found this mail box service near my home and it's better than the post office down the road. Staff is super friendly and getting a PO Box is a breeze! When receiving packages, they will text you with a photo, tracking # and time they received it. They don't mail out anything, but great for receiving your mail and Amazon orders! Good location and parking is never a problem. read more

I love everything about Aloha Mail in Pahoa HI. We have mailboxes by our home, but not enough boxes for packages, so we use to have to go stand in line at the Post Office in Pahoa for packages. Now we just go to Aloha Mail and get our mail and packages, and everyone there is always smiling. If we are out of town, they hold our mail for us there - just have to let them know. Aloha Mail is the best option for us and we love the staff too! Highly recommend them. read more

I opened a mailbox here and I have not received 1 piece of mail from here. Instead they returned the 1st package I was supposed to receive back to sender. All together I've lost about 1000$. I'm extremely frustrated read more

great place for mail and packages :) super reliable and professional. there has never been any issues with lost packages. i love how they email a photo of the package right when it arrives. every one there is super friendly and personable. i always feel uplifted with a big smile. helps me feel like part of the community :) thank you for you for taking such good care of everyone who walks through your doors read more

If you're thinking about getting a mailbox at Aloha mail in Pahoa, don't. I am so extremely upset. I had a very sentimental package being delivered that they accidentally returned to sender. Instead of taking accountability and ownership for their mistake which is all I ever wanted, they first claimed it didn't have the correct name on it, (it absolutely did) then they completely lied and said they "never recieved it". After speaking to the post office they confirmed they did in fact receive it and denied the package to be returned to sender. I asked them if they could contact their carrier and inform them of their mistake so I could possibly have the package intercepted and go pick it up anywhere on the island and they refused to do so. Told me they would contact me after they spoke to the post office and I waited 3 days and never recieved a phone call. I then called them after waiting days to hear back from them asking if I could simply recieve a refund after them giving me the run around an entire week without giving me any sort of viable information or help. Instead of coming from a place of understanding and simple consideration the owner calls me to slander me on the phone claiming I'm "scamming them" because I asked for a refund?? What kind of scam is that? What would I be gaining?? Absolutely no logical sense. She then told me she'd be completely closing my account and throwing away all of the mail that was left in my box which was my food stamp card and debit card. You're now gonna take away my ability to feed myself?? Completely appalled by the way the owner spoke to me and the way this situation was handled. All I wanted was for them to own up to their mistake and apologize for the inconvenience. I'm very distraught over this situation I have never seen such horrible disgusting and insensitive service in my entire life read more

To be honest, I was sorta shocked that there wasn't a UPS Store in Hilo town…read more Whenever I travel for work, it's not uncommon for me when I fly to the neighbor islands that I pack alot of gear, & parts. After using my parts, I like to ship out the broken parts back to the mainland, that way I can avoid having to haul it back to Oahu. I have used the UPS Store in Kona, but since I was working in Hilo this time, the closest UPS Store was in Pahoa. Located at a small strip mall called "Puna Kai Shopping Center", you can find this little UPS Store just a stones throw from a McDonald's. Lots of free parking at the strip mall, so access is pretty easy. I walked into the store and was greeted right away. The friendly clerk processed my package, & gave me my receipt, and off I went. Although Pahoa is a little drive from Hilo town, at least this UPS Store provided a very valuable service to the Big Island community.

It's so great when you buy something from Amazon and you want to return it. The UPS is the ticket.read more

Being that I had (5) boxes of broken parts I needed to send back state side, this UPS Store sure was a lifesaver! As I walked into the store I asked one of the clerks if I could borrow a hand truck, that way I could load up all my (5) boxes & bring it into the store one crack! I must say the staff here was friendly, and more than accommodating. The service here was efficient, as the clerk processed my (5) boxes quickly. One of my boxes wasn't packed up yet, as I ran out of shipping tape, but the nice thing about coming to this UPS Store is that they sold shipping supplies. I purchased a small roll of shipping tape, and I gotta say it was sorta pricey, but the convenience factor reflects the price you pay here. If I'm working in Waimea again, it's nice to know that there's a UPS Store here, that way it saves me a trip from having to go down to Kailua-Kona, or to Pahoa town.

They are the most wonderous people you can meet with an interesting history of succesfull businesses from bakery to computer technology. Harry applies his grasp of physics and technology to the camera producing incredible art. You can see the love and feel the passion in each piece displayed. Self taught he has learned quickly his craft. I am always amazed and excited to see what he does next. When you reach the property, you walk through a gate to be greeted by Little, their not so little dog. To the right is their working studio doubling as their gallery. There are small prints to large prints. And, can go larger if you so desired. Mouse custom frames each masterpiece to perfection. It is a working studio. You may see where Mouse builds the frames. She may be putting the canvas onto the frames, stretching it. A few computers showing galleries of gorgeous pictures Harry is working on. A commercial printer to handle their work load, and large prints. It is easy to see Harry loves shooting the stars, waves and volcano. His shots of the milky way are breath taking. The volcano shooting clouds of lava and smoke are just incredible. The strength of the waves blanketed by the stars in the same frame, astounding. Please go see for yourself. Tanglewood is open every weekend. One Saturday a month, they have a potluck when all photographers are invited to join in a Saturday of sharing. Harry is willing to share not holding anything back. That makes him special when often information is protected like a secret. You can find his work on Amazon, through select stores and always in their home, Tanglewood Gallery. An interior designer is available. You can talk to Harry about that if that is a service you need. Note: Mouse is famous for creating scrap cookies out of Colorado so many years back. Many have tried to copy, imitate but her's is still #1. The story behind that is very interesting but that's best heard from her when you visit.
