I traveled to Kona, Hawaii on Easter Sunday with plans to work remotely for the week. When I…read morearrived at my hotel, I realized I had made the worst mistake possible -- I forgot my computer charger. Not just any charger either, but a 170W charger for my ThinkPad, definitely not something you can just grab at Walmart or OfficeMax. Panicked (because that's who I am ), I called 808 Computers on Monday morning. Robert answered the phone, and I'm pretty sure he could hear the stress in my voice. I'm from Wisconsin, working remotely in Hawaii -- not ideal circumstances to suddenly be without a charger. My boss told me to relax, but that's just not in my nature. I came here to work remotely, and not working was not an option. We went into 808 Computers with my laptop, and Robert immediately plugged in his charger -- it started charging right away. He looked at me and said, "You can borrow this and bring it back on Friday." He didn't ask for my name. He didn't ask for my phone number. He didn't ask for payment, a deposit, or anything. I stood there in complete disbelief. I was fully expecting to pay top dollar to buy one or at least rent a charger. Instead, I was met with a level of kindness and trust I have honestly never experienced before. In my head, I wanted to hug him on the spot. Robert at 808 Computers absolutely took care of me when I needed it most. This kind of genuine customer service is beyond rare, and I will never forget it. I would highly recommend 808 Computers to anyone who needs anything computer-related. From a Midwest girl who forgot her charger -- I am forever grateful. Mahalo, Robert and 808 Computers!

I tried building a computer but it wouldn't boot, I dropped it off and they fixed it real quick. I…read morehad an iMac that was having display issues. The estimate was higher than my budget so I asked them to find it a good home. Then I had a software issue (technically bios) and everything was fine. They fixed it! But then there was a hardware issue. It's been more than 6 months. Last time I asked for an update, I got no callback. I showed up today and they knew me by name and gave me the runaround. I was patient, but now I'm expecting resolution. No fix, no fee, but what about when it's been 6+ months and no contact since October? I will be the first to admit that I'm bad at answering phone calls but if it takes more than 6 months to resolve a software issue... It's a good computer too. When I dropped it off, my work computer held me over. Now that I don't have a job, they are hurting me financially.

So I recently had my phone repaired here. I cannot recommend this place in good faith. The guy had…read moreto essentially replace my phone through parts. He was a nice enough guy. Before he started the repair, he said he backed everything up, cuz I wasn't sure if it was set up like that. When I picked up my phone he specifically told me I did not need to go to t mobile store to reactivate the cellular. Said I could do it online, through the chat assistance on computer. So I drove an hour home instead of 2 minutes to T-Mobile store. I was tired, had to pack up the truck to move the next morning, blah blah. Get on computer with T-Mobile....there's absolutely no way to reactivate online and I have to go to T-Mobile. Living in a rural island, I'm freaking out cuz places close early, I'm moving the next day and again, I'm far from town. So I spend another hour driving back to town. People do not have gas money like that. So that's extra stress. I do make it to t mobile in time. The lady gets my cellular reactivated. I'm now 3 hrs behind packing and moving schedule. It's dark and the road winding, so extra stress there too. Then I realize not everything is backed up to my cloud. I have employee appt on other side of island the next morning and cannot get back to T-Mobile. I've lost all my appointment information, so many apps with the info gone, texts that had the information gone, passwords to get the information gone. Luckily my job contacted me so that worked out. But now I'm realizing how much is actually gone. Sentimental texts from my friend that passed, special notes about my granddaughter, important notes regarding work and codes and history. I'm devastated. He said he backed it up, I told him I'm not great with technology, so please make sure.... He didn't and now it's just gone. And yes, I've gone back to T-Mobile for help, but nothing can be done. I've spent time on phone with apple trying any possible way to recover, it's not there. I repeat, I am devastated. He gets to go on with his day and a 'sorry'. But I get to stress, cry, grieve, spend time with multiple customer service people trying to get logged back into to whatever, driving all over island for help. So I don't recommend this place.
