I was having a problem with my computer so I reached out to several Kona repair shops with a description of my problem and a request for service. Based on my information, Malama Tech replied back with a link and said, "Try this." It worked. Also, note that he said he doesn't do the type of repairs that I needed, but he gave me the name of another computer service as well. The estimate was higher than my budget so I asked them to find it a good home. Then I had a software issue (technically bios) and everything was fine. They fixed it! But then there was a hardware issue. It's been more than 6 months. Last time I asked for an update, I got no callback. I showed up today and they knew me by name and gave me the runaround. I was patient, but now I'm expecting resolution. No fix, no fee, but what about when it's been 6+ months and no contact since October? I will be the first to admit that I'm bad at answering phone calls but if it takes more than 6 months to resolve a software issue... It's a good computer too. When I dropped it off, my work computer held me over. Now that I don't have a job, they are hurting me financially.
