Mango is 10 years old, requires medication, doesn't do well in kennels, and attaches to one human. Kuma is 3 years old, and very social with other dogs and kids. Of course, I was told Mango followed Lisa all day; and on the day I picked them up, Kuma was sitting on one of their children's lap while doing their homework. It was comforting to see that my fur babies were treated like family while I was away. The specialized home environment, supervision, and care that this place offers to small dogs, takes away my worries and anxieties about leaving my pets behind. i recommend this vet service if you can get dr milnes (works mondays only) or the owner dr jordan…read more(by special appointment) or dr walker. other than mondays with milnes or dr jordan by appointment i would not generally recommend the waikoloa location, but dr j the owner is so good technically and interpersonally that it is worth the wait.. dr milnes is sadly only working mondays and at waikoloa but again worth the wait. my cat has been well treated an his person is quite satisfied with this professional practice. i am actually in love with dr j......but don't tell him. :)

I've been going there for several years and have been frustrated with lack of care. Recently took…read moremy dog in as he was expirencing pain in his jaw. Drove an hour to get there but the vet didn't even try to open my dog mouth to inspect it. He said that my dog is not liking him open a mouth and he can't do much! I said he is in pain can you try again, no dog likes to open their mouth you need to just force it. My dog was not dangerous (20lb older scottie). But the vet said he can only prescribe a pain killer to numb the pain and that's all. I was pretty disappointed with lack of care to even attempt to inspect my pet. I drove an hour to see him for 5 min of his time and zero help! I am not going back there again.

Lots of parking off to the side of the building or in front of the building. The only thing I was disappointed about was the cost of everything done. They never told me any of the cost for anything until I got up to the front counter to pay my bill. Here I'm thinking 100 oh no it was 800.00. This included the fee to send the bloodwork elsewhere to be tested to figure out what the problem was. ****they accept Care Credit...Credit cards, cash, debit cards. Checks probably if a long customer I really enjoyed the vets and the techs at the clinic. They did respond to all of my questions and concerns, my pet pig did great after the visit and never had another episode One of the Vets called back a few weeks later to give me the results from the bloodwork Overall experience I would say a 4 out of 5. That 5th star is deducted for not discussing the cost before hand. I will an am going back to them for more care of my cats

Pohaku Grooming is amazing. We bring in two dogs at a time and they are in and out in about two…read morehours. So easy. Everyone is so kind to both us and the dogs. We have two Great Pyrenees and two Aussies, so we have tried plenty of groomers, even all the way to Kailua Kona. Honestly, most of those were nightmare experiences. Pohaku has been such a refreshing change. And the best part... one time we showed up early and our Pyrenees and Aussie were literally "coloring" with their adorable little keiki while waiting for us. I mean, come on. That alone deserves five stars. Truly the easiest, happiest grooming experience we've had.

They looked beautiful! Bathed, shaved , brushed, nails trimmed...all for a very reasonable price. They were happy and not stressed at all. Going to the groomer is one of those things that can put my dogs into a tizzy for days due to their elevated stress levels. When I picked them up, they were relaxed and happy.
