    Ahi poke bowl
    Lisa B.

The owners and workers were amazing. I have a shellfish allergy and they went out of their way to ensure that there was no cross contamination by slicing fresh fish for me with clean knives etc rather than taking from the prep area. The bowls are beautiful and fresh. Yum! I will be back.

Eclectic little spot, with super friendly owners and staff!! We went here on a whim for a craving of sushi and the internet doesn't have a great view of their menu (so use this review!!) they do a great job listing what's gluten free on their menu and the staff is very great at walking you through their offerings! We had a poke bowl with rice and another one with rice noodles. Their tuna and salmon are good, their avocado is fresh and their spicy sauce has a nice kick without being too spicy!

Great bowls, nice employees, I highly recommend Aloha Poke. The House Bowl was so good that I went back for another one the next day.

Off the beaten tourist path and open year round, PP lives up to the reviews and hype. We made a mistake our first night in Bar Harbor going to a tourist trap and getting a rubbery lobster roll and sad chowder. I did a bit of research online and found Peekytoe and was SO glad for it. While you don't get a water view, but a cute walk down the main drag, it is WELL worth the excursion AND HOW. My husband said his Crabby Patty was the best crab cake sandwich he ever had. I agreed in as I had the cake as an app. I also got a Halibut dish with pickled fiddleheads (a local green I might liken to okra for lack of other reference) and blistered tomatoes. It was moist, well cooked fish, amazing sides with phenomenal heightening elements. We also enjoyed our cocktails immensely. GO if you are a foodie and don't want a lame wannabe roll with some kids grilled cheese sides, DO this spot. SO well worth it. PS to manament - I know you do a brunch. MAKE SURE YOU DO A CRABCAKE BENEDICT. Your crab cakes are divine and with a slight seared crunch. Ideal. You can even do a lemon-fiddlehead or blistered tomato HOLLANDAISE. I'd be IN IN as I am sure most people would. The vinegary elements from the fiddleheads to (I think) my husband's pickled onion atop his crabby patty MADE the CRABCAKES THE STAR.

The pie earns this place 5 stars by itself. We started with the maple sriracha wings and while a bit pricy...we are in Bar Harbor after all...they were excellent and I'd get them again as a starter. The girlfriend got a painkiller and it was substantially large and very tasty, she was very happy with it. I tried a sip and thought it was good as well. The brown butter lobster roll was good, but I would get the Maine next time--I had gotten Maine style the night before so I had to switch it up. The regular fries are OK but the sweet potato fries are out of this world. The gf again was please with the fish and chips which are gluten-free and really good, she was blown away by the portion size once again. Slaw was on point. The decor was very eclectic and it was funny because they have a painting of a naked woman on the wall and these three young boys eating dinner at the table under it couldn't stop looking at it and giggling, it was hilarious! Moose head on the wall like all proper Maine establishments. Service was by Travis and he did a top-notch job, I'd request a table from him again in the future. And I would come back here the first night I was in town.

We had been on our Maine trip for almost a week and had been waiting for a while lobster. We both ordered the 1.5-2 lb lobsters. You can pick the out of the tank if you would like. We didn't have the heart to pick out dinner and look it in the eyes. I'm husband just chose the lobster plate which comes with a 1.5-2 lbs lobster and corn on the cob. I opted for the meal. Lobster 1.5lb lobster, cup clam chowder, corn on the cob and "famous" Maine Blueberry pie. Lobsters were good. Definitely couldn't had more than one. As always not enough meat if you're only eating lobster. Corn was tasty. I have mine to my husband, he was still hungry. The clam chowder was ok. I feel like it had been sitting in the pot for a day or so. Really thick and kind of concealed. Not the rich-creamy flavor I was hoping for. Kind of bland. Needed to add hot sauce. I tried a couple bites of the Blueberry pie. Very thick pie filling. Sweet and tasty. Felt like the crust was store bought. Not really flaky or buttery. Overall, good lobster. Touristy. I'd pop in again for a quick bite.

The server/hostess was very abrupt in manner and seemed almost annoyed with us for being there. Everything was sticky: the menus with crumpled pages, the tables, the bathroom floor. It had kind of a crummy cafeteria vibe with drop ceilings and crappy laminate tables and 80s middle school tile floors and stacking chairs. I'm normally all for a hidden strip mall gem but this was not it. My partner ordered a spicy roll combo and asked the server if they were spicy/crunchy and she said they all had the panko crunch in the mix. What he got had zero spicy and zero crunchy. The rolls were minuscule, sloppy with a tiny chunk of fish in the middle and nothing else. The yellowtail was super fishy and tough. He didn't even finish his meal. I ordered two special maki and they were both sloppily presented. The server never cleared a single plate from underwhelming appetizer through the meal. She came through regularly with her noisy Rubbermaid cart with peoples' meals on it, even if it was a single plate one-handed carry and the lower shelves of the cart were empty and could have housed dirty dishes. And the pièce de résistance was it was wildly overpriced - perhaps some of the most expensive sushi I have ever had and I have had grocery store sushi that was better. Then I came home and was in the bathroom for literal hours after my stomach started feeling dodgy after eating. 1/5 food 0/5 service -20/5 ambiance Just absolutely not it.

09/17/26 Popovers…read morethree ways and all delicious. We started with an Atlantic Brewing Blueberry ale for my husband and a non-alcoholic Blueberry NA Mojito for myself. My husband enjoyed his beer and I enjoyed my mocktail. You could see the blueberry in my drink although it did not taste much like blueberry. I enjoyed the ginger flavor, but was hoping for more of a blueberry twist. We ordered two popovers to start because, why not? While I will say the popovers are not something amazing, they were as I expected and they paired especially nice with the Maine strawberry jam. I ordered the popover pot pie and my husband got the BBQ pork sandwich because it was topped with blueberry BBQ sauce. I liked the restaurant's take on pot pie with the inclusion of two full popovers. However, I will note that the pot pie filling tasted more like chowder and less like traditional pot pie. I prefer the more traditional pot pie flavor, but I still enjoyed this dish. The pulled pork sandwich was also good and had a slight blueberry taste to the BBQ. The cheese and slaw on the sandwich were a nice addition. The chips on the side were also quite good. Finally, we finished with our third kind of popover of the sundae variety. The presentation of the popover sundae was over the top and I loved it. While I couldn't say the popover was hot when served, it still was fresh and delicious along with the homemade blueberry ice cream. They were very generous with the helping of ice cream and I wasn't mad about that. We were both stuffed and satisfied. On top of that, the service was top notch. Our server was friendly, attentive, and timely. The layout of the restaurant is quite spread out when you are seated on the outside lawn. Somehow our server was able to stay on top of all his tables despite the long distances I'm sure he had to walk between the tables and the inside of the restaurant. The support staff was also attentive and made sure we never had dirty dishes sitting on our table. We enjoyed the view from our table and the bench seating we chose to sit in was quite comfortable and relaxing. All in all, the service, food, and prices are a win for us. Well worth the visit. Note we did wait in line starting at about 10:15am for a table at opening at 11am. We had no difficulty being seated outside and there were plenty of tables for everyone waiting in line. Some had reservations, but you won't have a problem getting a table if you don't. We arrived about 8:30am and parked in the lot near the restaurant, but not the restaurant lot itself. We then walked around the entire pond before getting in line. I would suggest a similar timeline because by the time we were waiting in line, the parking lots were full.
