This BB is part of Somerset South. However, it has its own entrance (big plus). It has two floors and a classy, refined interior. Dress shirts and ties are on the ground floor. One thing that immediately distinguishes this store is service. You don't feel like salesman prey when you walk in here. However, the staff is quite knowledgeable, patient and helpful. Amy, the person who helped me, explained that the store has only non-iron shirts in stock but offered to order the non-non-iron kind for me free of shipping cost if desired. After doing my homework on the BB non-iron process and cloth, I decided to try the shirts. Nevertheless, Amy said that she didn't want me to be unhappy. She said that I could wash one of the three shirts I bought, try it on and return the three shirts for an exchange if the washed shirt felt bad (happily, it did not). That's service! I recommend this BB store to those looking for a quality, un-harried clothes shopping experience.

One $200 sweater I purchased came back from its first dry cleaning with 3 visible marks where the fabric had torn away. I took it in today simply to swap out and (without even looking up my account history!) was confronted while waiting in line at the register by a guy who looked at it and immediately told me to go pursue reimbursement from the dry cleaner!! I told him please let me get to the register so you guys can look up my account, and he got more firm with me that they're not going to do anything for me. What a flawed business strategy by a high-end retail chain. My money will be well spent elsewhere going forward.

At Bridal Expos and online, you usually get bombarded with the chain Menswear places to do your business with for your wedding day (like I did). The styles at these places were bland and I wanted something different. I stumbled upon Sam Michael's and from my first visit (of probably 5 or 6 in total), I was hooked! Walking in here for the first time, I didn't know what to expected. I explained that I was getting married, and 8 groomsmen and 2 parents that needed suits. I was sat down and shown all of my different rental options, which included suits, tuxes, pants, ties, shoes and other accessories. So many decisions, but I was granted the ability to stay there and think carefully, but also explained to that I can change it as many times as I want up to a month or so before the wedding date. Attached are some pictures of the suit I picked for myself and my groomsmen. It was a brand new suit in their inventory that they personally owned, as well as the color choice for my accents (pocket square and tie). Michael and team were very professional through the entire process. We had multiple texts and phone calls back and forth during my moving of our wedding date as well as when my accent color was discontinued. After the wedding was all said and done, I was granted a $500 shopping spree on a suit set of my choice. That was really exciting and I got a nice blue, checkered patterned suit. Initially the suit was advertised to me as "slightly more expensive" but better quality and service than competitors. After we allocated our wedding finances after we got married, at Sam Michael's, I actually spent LESS than what I budgeted and LESS than a competitor I was initially going to go with. Totally worth it here! Thank you Mike and team for everything! I felt like family every time I walked in. No errors or resizing for any of us during our pick ups.

Our experience with this custom men's clothing shop was extremely disappointing. We ordered a…read morecustom suit 3 months in advance and made 10 or more trips to the store for fittings, expecting that the extra time and attention would result in a properly made suit. Unfortunately, the original suite was altered so many times that it looked worse each time we returned. Despite all the fittings and alterations, the suit had to be scrapped, and they ran out of time to make another one. They even lost a pair of pants we needed altered too!!!! What was even more troubling was that the owner ultimately tried to give us clothing from the back room and a NON custom suit while still charging us for a custom made suit. That was completely unacceptable and not what we paid for. The customer service was equally disappointing. We did not see or hear from the original salesman after the first visit. On one visit, while we were there dealing with ongoing problem with the suit, the owner helped someone else, who simply walked in and left us waiting for 45 minutes, we found this extremely rude and disrespectful, especially considering how much time and money my entire family had already invested. A custom clothing experience should involve professionalism and respect for all customers. Unfortunately , we expereinced none of those. We gave this business more than enough time and opportunities to make things right and instead the experience was extremely frustrating right before our daughter's wedding. First of all when you walk in, there is no one working. I can totally understand why now. When you walk in, no one will greet you or ask what they can help because they are too busy chatting with each other. After some struggles, I purchased a foundation that was not the one I wanted originally and the sales told me that I can return it if the color was not matched in 30 days which was clearly stated on my receipt Then, I decided to not want that foundation because of the color mismatch and I had an allergic reaction from the color match in store I sent it in the mail to that store and I waited for 2 weeks for their reponse. They basically ignored me until I call them 2 weeks later to ask about my status of the return. All I got after that was "honey it takes at least a month." so I waited. The next day they called me back and accused me of using a lot of the foundation and how they could not return an used item when I didn't even open it. She said they had a way to check it but the foundation bottle is colored, not transparent. I tried to explain to her about how I didn't want this to begin with and she pressured me to buy it and I had a serious allergic reaction from it. She basically said there was nothing I could do and we couldn't return. I said can I talk to your manager and she said yes she will call me back the next day. Not only they didn't call me back, but they just automatically shipped me back the defect foundation and called it a day I will say I am very disappointed about this kind of inconsiderate customer service from a well-known high ended department store. They had a DJ, complimentary beverage (a fruity concoction), a fun cookie, and a few drawings. In order to enter the drawing, they provide you a business card sized card that you fill up with stickers after you visit 6 different stations. Well, the stations were not manned and no one knew about the stickers so the team was scrambling to sort that out. In the end, they gave the stickers to the employees at the registers. Aside from that hiccup, it was an enjoyable event and the ladies representing Kiehl's, Clarins, and Olaplex were the absolute best!
