We came in on a Saturday afternoon and the place was busy. After wandering around, it appeared a line was forming so we lined up. However, after a few moments, a younger women approached asking how she could help. She measured, wrote up the order and and cashed us out in less than 10 minutes. She explained what the next step would be and we were on our way. I have tagged his mom and grandma in for pick up but based on past experiences with my boys and the efficient from last Saturday I have every confidence everything will be fine. TBH I have no idea how they compare to other tuxedo places, pricewise, but I think they have a great selection and the customer service is clearly a priority. Now that I am done with dressing young men for prom I will have to find some black tie events for my husband to take me to. :-) They have a very nice selection of mens clothing and they might do alternations, although I am not sure if that is just for purchase from them or if they take outside work as well. The colors and patterns were not typical of navy, black, and tan. They jumped right off the clothes. There were bright, vivacious colors that you don't see at Brooks Brothers or Bacharach. OMG, Wendy not only knew all the brands, how they fit, and what sizes were available, but it was like she could read my mind about what went well together and what would be comfortable for me. It was like she knew my measurements by just looking at me. The only issue I had was that I didn't allow myself enough time. I purchased some shoes; I was not walking out empty-handed, but I definitely will be coming back again, and again, and again. The thing I really enjoyed and appreciated was Wendy's attitude. She was dressed to the 9's, very professional, she knew the products in and out, she was informative and not salesy or pushy. I felt very comfortable and trusted her advice. By the way she was dressed, I knew she had the kind of taste I like in clothing. Sharp, neat, respectful, but also fun. If I'm honest, the cherry on the sundae was her smile. Apparently, they are related although this one is not for retail but you can register for membership. We did that and then my son and I did some shopping for him with the helpful of a salesperson. My son had just graduated and needed suits for his new job. We purchased two suits which had to be specially tailored for his weightlifting body (narrow waist, thicker thighs). There is a tailor on the lower level who can special tailoring for purchases made here. We ended up with two suits, shirts, ties, belt, shoes, and socks for much less than $2,000. I was very pleased and my son was very happy. When we came back to try out the tailoring, my son said it was the first pair of dress pants that actually felt comfortable for him and fit perfectly.

The store is not very big but there is an infinite number of choices. Tailored clothes are usually more expensive than their off the rack equivalents. However, Claymore's prices are on par or better than competitors. Once you buy tailored clothes you never want to go back to off the rack. It may be the only choice for people who can't buy off the rack without looking like they are wearing their father or little brother's clothes on. Every man should have at least one tailored piece of clothing, it really makes a difference. Atmosphere can be a little intimidating if you don't know some of the terminology so make sure you Wikipedia some.. The staff will do the rest will make you feel at ease. If you are not sure what you are looking for, let the staff know your style, where you intend to wear them, and how often. The staff knows what they are talking about and will lead you to the right choices. Tips: 1) Wait for store or seasonal sales which they have all the time. 2) Register with them and you will get coupons in the mail. 3) If you can afford it, ask for the "bespoke" collection. They cost more but the quality is commensurate with the price. 4) Take advice from Charlie, Mike, and the rest of the staff. These guys are up on the latest trends, styles, and fabrics. 5) If something does not fit right, speak up. Claymore wants you to come back. 6) Colors, patterns, and details can all be tailored.
