She did a great job navigating the line that she had as well as making me feel attended to as a customer and not rushed. The store is organized which is nice, but the guy at the return counter is the slowest person ever! No urgency whatsoever. He just chit chats and looks around to see what everyone else is doing. Absolutely horrible service! I bought a perfume and when I asked about the return policy, I was told that I can return it as long as I have the receipt. I tried the perfume at home and it had a lingering alcohol smell. When I brought it back to return, I was told that perfumes can't be returned once opened! Nobody ever mentioned this to me once! read more

I have been shopping with Zara for over 10 years. Recently an item was not included in my order and when I emailed them about it, they said basically, they don't believe me and I won't be getting a refund order. What? Ordered shoes online and had shipped to the store since they charge for shipping. Waited about 25 minutes middle of the day to pickup my package. Huge line downstairs and two people working the registers upstairs. A few other employees floated around without acknowledging customers. When I got to the front of the line, the cashier said you never have to wait in line to pick up a package. Put up a sign duh! Customers don't know this and there is NO ONE around to help you. This store was in disarray and not anything like other Zara stores I've been to around the country. Security sensors going off consistently during my visit. I took the shoes home to try on since I ran out of time waiting in line. They didn't work, so sadly I needed to go back to the store. They charge you to ship them back. Saw the line to checkout downstairs was almost to the front door and about 100 people. Ran around to store to find all the other registers are closed. I get in this terrible line and proceed to waste 45 minutes of my life waiting. I will never shop here again. Ever. Not online. Not in store. Worst retail experience ever. read more

I went to Zara yesterday to bring a dress back for my mother in law. The line took forever because the employees were moving so slow. Then when we finally get to the cashier, I realized I didn't grab the size I wanted to exchange so I asked the lady if I could go find it because I knew where it was. She ignores me as I asked again and then she just starts yelling at me saying, "go get it! Go grab it!" Then as I turn around to go grab it she looks at my boyfriend and says, "good luck." That is extremely rude and you shouldn't treat a customer like that. read more

This was the worst store and worst customer service I have ever seen and I've seen some bad service. There is clothes scattered all over the floor and is completely disorganize. I waited in the dressing room lines for 30 + minutes. Than they falsely labeled what was on sale and I waited in line to purchase the items for 45 minutes and didn't realize the item was double the price that it said it was. I came back another day to return these clothes and I went upstairs because there was no one directing traffic or signs saying where things can and cannot be returned. I waited in the line for 30 minutes and the lady working bluntly said they only do returns downstairs. Insane customer service and I'm speechless that people put up with this garbage. read more

Looks like a messy thrift shop. You walk into the store on main floor and it's a horrible mess, no organization, clothes over racks, on the floor, tables complete mess. I will never shop with Zara again. The staff was unfriendly and very inefficient. There was a long line of customers waiting to checkout (or in our case make a simple return). They didn't seem to care in the slightest. One of the staff stopped working at his register and moved a rack of shoes and then moved it back to its original position. Terrible customer service! Zara corporate needs to hire more people for this location. It's the only Zara in state I'm pretty sure, and so all hours of the day there is heavy foot traffic and long lines. Prepare to wait anywhere from 30 minutes on a weekday afternoon to 1 hour on a weekend. Even the upstairs registers in the men's & kids sections always have a line to the door. Especially now that fitting rooms are closed, the lines are so long because people are buying lots of stuff to try on at home, and then coming back to return which takes a long time. The floor is also a mess with items completely out of order from their sections, things all over the ground, mismatched sets thrown about, etc. Considering this, they really need to have more than 2 people at the registers downstairs and upstairs. The employees are clearly unhappy and burnt out and this translate into them being very rude and passive to customers. Hire more people so that your customer service is improved because they act like even the simplest requests or questions are the biggest burden and it's a terrible shopping experience. read more

So Michigan Farmer typical,, a shop like this would get low reviews because it's totally ahead of the "Farmer" type fashion curve. You don't like the clothes nor the prices here,, yes please do go and shop at 21 Forever or better yet at Navy Old because I'm sure you enjoy shopping surrounded by people who wear Real Tree to go out. Do stay away from my shop because you're way too basic. Ok,, so!! Now that I got that out of the way let's get my review on. First time I came across Zara was when I was in Japan on a business trip. I fell in love with this shop because of their fashion forward pieces. Looks and feel expensive without the designer high fashion tags. Plus I remember buying from Zara because the wasn't a store in Michigan. So I can rock items unbeknownst to basic farmers. Therefore I win. Now that it's here, I still shop here. Just because every Zara is not alike. American Zara have different pieces than European Zara. Plus the clothes fit better in general. This place is dope, I always stop by to see what's new here. Why does Zara have low ratings??? I'm always excited when I get to go to a Zara store. They don't have stores in every state, so this is the closest one regionally. I don't typically shop in their brick and mortar stores; I usually look at their products online. Their clothes are honestly expensive, but they don't make a lot of each item. Their stuff is also a much more wearable version of what's on the runway. Some of it looks like trendy stuff, but you can find some great unique pieces that no one else has. They do have sales. They usually aren't extensive, but you just have to keep checking back every once in a while. They have men's and kids on the second level. The line wasn't long. Only a handful of people in line, but with one guy at the register he was pretty quick. read more

Several times a year I shop at Zara with my young adult daughter; but this was the straw! I stood in the return line for over a hour to return a $25 shirt that was bought w.o trying it on because the fitting room was closed. When I finally reached the front of the return line I was told the shirt was 2 days past the 30 day return policy and I would be given an in store credit. I expressed my disappointment. The employee said she would call her manager. "Getting a refund should not be a problem."However, after 10 minutes of paging a manager and being ignored, the worker was informed to give me an in store credit. Again, I explained it had only been two days past store policy and the young manager who rudely declined my refund stated, "You had 30 days to return it and you can't tell me you could not find time within the last 30 days to do so." I also expressed how I had been a good customer and had waited in line for over an hour for this refund. However, the manager turned his back and rudely walked away shaking his head. I felt sorry for my daughter who just wanted a $25 credit put back on her credit card. I felt sorry for all of the people with crying babies and barking dogs waiting in the very long line, I felt sorry for the people trying to shop at a store in such disarray that it is hard to believe it is even allowed to be considered at the Somerset Mall of Troy, Mi. Merchandise is strewn about on the floor and all over display tables as if Zara is equal to a garage sale, not an upscale resale mall store. And lastly, I felt sorry for the people behind the counter working who were dealing with angry customers due to the poor customer service! Hopefully my daughter will use the store credit online so that she feels she has received her credit back for the merchandise we returned. Horrible service. Clerks were rude, dressing rooms all closed. Due to all the horrible ratings I'm guessing terrible management. Drove 50 miles to get there. Since I could not try things on now I'm stuck with $150.00 of clothes that don't fit. Some of their pants run small. I used to love Zara but will not be going back to o this location. read more

I'm kinda dissapointed. I honestly expected more from Zara. Honestly, this Zara is nowhere near as nice as the one I went to in Chicago. Everything is overpriced and definetely not my style. It's as if it is this really weird hipster style. I looked at the men's section and my boyfriend instantly walked away towards the kids area because of the style. He laughed and said he would never wear anything. The clothing I saw in the women's section was not cute at all. Terrible place that I would never shop at ever again. I went to the store to pick up an online order, perfume. Two of the slowest men were there and both did not care to help me. I told them that there are 2 of you and neither one can grab my order which would take 2 minutes. I just walked out. I will return the item and avoid this mess of a place at all costs. I couldn't even believe they behaved liked this at what is supposed to be one of the best malls around town. This store is always a mess, so I've gotten used to digging through piles to find clothes/sizes that I like and need, but I have been to the store 3 days in a row to try to purchase clothes for my grandchildren and the line is so long and slow moving that I've had to leave the store and leave the items behind. The first day I was in line for 30min and was only half way to the register, the second day there was an extra cashier so I thought the line would move fast, but was in line 20min before I left and today the line was so long I didn't even bother to try. This is the messiest store I have ever been into. It looked like someone started opening boxes of clothes and just started throwing them onto tables. Zara is popular so considering it's the only store in MI? there needs to be more staff especially more staff at registers. Why are there only two registers out of the 5 or 6 (on the first floor) that are there, open? Also, should consider not putting people's returns back on a hangers and on racks in slow motion while there is a line of people almost reaching Mexico waiting to checkout.
