Matcha Coconut Cloud (front) Tiramisu Latte (back)
    Komal R.

Really liked it my first time here but the second time was pretty disappointing. The Churros Matcha sounds so good on paper but was super watered down even though I asked for whole milk, and just tasted like lots of gritty matcha and a ton of cinnamon. No flavor. I felt like I paid almost $8 for a glass of water. We had another drink called This Sh*t Is Bananas and it was fortunately good. Also got the pistachio muffin and cinnamon roll but both were just ok - maybe because it was late in the afternoon and they are probably fresher and better tasting in the morning. The pastries are bogo after 2 pm so we paid for 3 items totaling to $24 after tip which is definitely not cheap.

Such a homey, relaxing spot. Very chill vibe with delicious food and drinks. Even our 7 year old loved it. Can't wait for our next visit to Philly to go back.

This was my first time here and I hope to come back soon! Incredibly spacious inside with many seating options, even on a busy Sunday. There are tables for small groups, a large bench section for larger groups, couches by the book wall, and even a cabin inside with a reserved section. I was not expecting so many alcohol options; might have to snag the $8 French 75 next time! Service was okay; I did not know that the drinks would come out before the food and it was hard to find cutlery/napkins/ketchup when needed and didn't find the service to be overly friendly or helpful. Prices as expected but liked some of the more unique seasonal options. I opted for a classic bacon egg and cheese and swapped the mixed greens for home fries (with surcharge). It was very large. I don't usually get 'fancy' coffee drinks because I find them too sweet, but this smoked maple latte was so unique. You could tell it was smoky from just a whiff which was cool; would get again. So much natural light and how could you do anything but stare at that book wall all day?

This is the first time I came back to this location after the United By Blue closed. I always loved the space here. With this new coffee house the space is plentiful. There is a little semi enclosed area with tables and chairs. I am guessing it's for some people if they want to get on their work calls, etc. However, this one man taking a call in that space was loud. Took away from a relaxing ambiance. The service here is okay. Not too friendly, but also not rude, but from the customer's perspective not welcoming. We ordered cold brew, and iced Americano, both tasted good. Maybe I will try back and try some of their sandwiches. For now, it was a meh experience.

    2 Two Eggs Any Style

Beautiful location directly below the Ben Franklin bridge, and beautiful decor inside as well. Very photogenic (and dog friendly) spot where many people go to do some work. Many outlets in the restaurant! Order at the register and they'll give you a number to place on the table. Someone will deliver it when your food is ready. For drinks, they'll call your name and you have to pick it up at the barista station. The food was good and they give you a huge amount, but it's also very pricey for what it is. Ordered an espresso martini, the bean, two eggs any style and the Jersey classic. Jersey classic was flavorful but sloppy so be prepared to use a ton of napkins. My two eggs any style were delicious. They have numerous options to choose for your potatoes and I chose the garlic since the cashier suggested it. Very good food, but a bit pricey.

    Apple pie latte

Honestly would give this five stars based on vibes alone! I ordered the apple pie latte, perfect taste and temperature with great latte art. The staff was friendly and helpful with ordering plus tips on other places to check out while in town. Loved the giant bookshelves and the ample seating inside. This looked like a great spot to hang out and get some work done.

Great seating areas! Love that their drink menu is extensive. The pastries looked great as well. Beautiful natural light coming in, in fact, they should turn off the lights to save energy. The bookshelf is immaculate. There's also a closed off seating area that mimics a cabin. Great location, its nestled under the Benjamin Franklin bridge, Philly's own Dumbo, Brooklyn! Smoked Salmon Bagel came with 4 boiled eggs which was nice. I do think that $15 is a little too steep. The Dudley is hash brown patties, sunny side eggs and lettuce in a sesame seed bun. It came with a beautiful mixed salad with a vinaigrette. The hash brown could have been made a bit more crispier. Dropping a star because they ran out of espresso...not sure why they couldn't grab espresso beans from another spot nearby. I wanted to try the S'more Latte but will have to come back. They also did not have supplies for half of the "All Day Sandos". There aren't many outlets to charge your laptop/phone.

    Shaken Espresso with oat milk
    Michelle T.

A gorgeous space in Old City with ample room for working and hanging out. Aesthetically, it's gorgeous with wood interior, a floor to ceiling bookshelf, and ample natural light. Their menu has a broad range of drinks and food. I tried the shaken espresso with oat milk, and it was very good! They poured it into a cute cup for dining in, which I appreciated because it reduced waste. Only downside is cost. This shaken espresso was $6.75 as a base, but with the addition of oat milk, tax, and a tip, it came out to be around $9. For me, that is a bit out of my price range for one coffee, and that seems pretty standard for other coffee drinks on their menu.

cute coffee/brunch spot with plenty of seating and good vibes! i absolutely love the energy of this place, it would be such an amazing study date spot with the ample seating and natural lighting. almost home also has a bunch of fun coffee beverages. i've had the purple haze which was fun but a little disappointing and the shaken espresso which was delicious. there are a handful of other drinks i want to try even though it seems that they can be hit or miss. the food is solid as well, but not particularly impressive. i did really enjoy their perfectly crispy hash browns. no complaints of service -- if you're dining in, the staff will bring your food to you. otherwise, you order and pick up at the counter. this spot is definitely a little pricey for what it is, but i still love how cute and bright it is.

I really wanted to try their beef waygu sandwich- a special I believe, but they were out. I had their smoked latte. Staffer told me iced version would bring out the flame flavor more. It did and I enjoyed my drink a lot. Nothing else stuck out for me but nothing was bad for me. If my eye was caught by something else, I might've gone for it but I have had a lot of food options and such around me. So just the drink was enough for me this time around. One of United Blue's cafes used to be here and the cuisine was similar. I am surprised they didn't survive. Maybe they were doing okay but they felt the profit margin was so small. Hard to say. It is a good location that mainly locals would notice rather than your random tourist passerby. I sometimes casually and non-casually use IG and like some of Almost's pretty food and drink pics and food combos, but I think their main or homebase is in Oceanport and some of the specials or food that stands out for me might be there only. The owner(s) or manager(s) seem to use IG religiously because they care about their reviews and audience. They will respond properly if they feel the need. And there is the additional responses that can be replied to on IG although it can be harder to post remarks that are criticisms on there even if they are properly constructive because of IG security settings and well because people are human.

Loved this place! During the week, it's quiet in the morning so you can get work done or read. The book wall is so beautiful. Iced coffee was delicious. Must get their French toast muffin - unreal. Also had the breakfast bowl (forgot to take a pic of) and it was great minus the b Brussel sprouts (but I just took those off and ignored them) - Cannot wait to go back and try more.

Breakfast Bowl + Baklava Latte Just Peachy + Turkey Brie & Fig Jam w/ fries

I got the turkey & fig sandwich w/ fries + a peach tea -- everything in my order was amazing; I enjoyed every bite & sip. My friend got the breakfast bowl and the baklava coffee; the bowl she loved, but the drink tasted nothing like the description. The cashier seemed new, and a little confused when taking our orders + forgot to give us a number. At this time, it was not crowded (maybe 4 other tables) and no line.

This was my first time actually trying it and it definitely lived up to the hype of the Yelp reviews. My wrap had chicken, hummus, lettuce, and feta, and it was so delicious. My chicken was very good, very tender and seasoned well. It also had a great creamy hummus to tie all the other ingredients together. The feta added just enough saltiness to balance out the rest of the flavors. All of the ingredients were very fresh, and my wrap was extremely soft, yet still maintained its form completely as I ate. I also ordered a Nutella hot chocolate. It was delicious! It was my fist time having a Nutella hot Chocolate. I usually just get a normal hot chocolate. The pita chips served as an additional side item with this sandwich and proved to be quite enjoyable. The pita chips had a good crunch and were able to pair with the wrap very well. The $10 martinis on Friday were an excellent deal and definitely one of the highlights of the evening. A well-priced martini always sets a promising tone, and these did exactly that. The bartenders were helpful and kept things moving impressively well, even with a group our size, which was much appreciated. The space itself is huge and very clean, with plenty of tables and seating, so it was easy for everyone to spread out, settle in, and enjoy themselves without feeling packed in. A major point in its favour is the setup for watching sports. They have a massive wall of TV screens, plus more TVs throughout the space, which made it very easy to keep up with multiple games at once. No awkward craning for a view, no fighting for the one good seat, just a very solid setup for a group outing. Overall, it was a fun experience and very much in line with the good times we have had at other City Tap locations in DC.
