I came here on a Saturday about 45 mins from closing. The place is small with no tables inside and a few tables outside. There is a small parking lot as well. I ordered a matcha latte with strawberry cold foam, and it was slightly over $8 for the drink. At this price point, I expected the drink to be amazing, but it was very disappointing. To start off, my drink was 2/3 full of ice so after a few sips there were barely anything left. On to the taste, the matcha flavor was WEAK. It felt like I was just drinking green colored milk. I can't comment on their other drinks and food, but I would not come here for their matcha latte. It would have been a one star review but I will give an extra star for the person who took my order. She was patient and tried to answer my questions.

Best sandwich I've had in a while! Girls working there are super friendly too. We did a dry age steak sandwich, chicken ceaser, steak horseradish sandwich - I think that was my fav. All phenomenal though. Super cool, they have real nice dry aged for sale too. Plenty of parking and a little sit down area outside.

Cool place. They had a "pop up" pizza stand, which my 6yo enjoyed. The staff were friendly. The place was clean and had a deli/butcher vibe to it.we got the OG breakfast sandwich and the chicken pesto wrap. Both were delicious but the wrap was extra delicious. We also got the log cabin and pecan pie coffees to drink. Both were good, with the pecan pie coffee being the better choice.

The service was very nice and was a pleasant exchange. The barista was very knowledgeable and gave amazing recommendations, although was not in the mood for it then. They have a variety of different milk options too: whole, skim, oat, almond, and pistachio. The store was very nice and quaint with take home meals, local olive oil, on the go salads, baked goods, and pickles! I got the grilled chicken Caesar salad wrap and an unsweetened green tea. Both of which was nice. The green tea was brewed on demand with there being a nice flavor and aroma. The wrap was excellent with there being seasoned chicken (in paprika I believe) and the salad had tomatoes, sourdough croutons, lettuce and the dressing. The salad itself was not drenched in dressing thankfully and the texture of the croutons made it very pleasant. Overall great place to stop by the only slight negative would be the pricing as all was $19.44- which was a little steep for the quantity. However quality over quantity for this place!

When you first walk in you immediately notice a wonderful smell , it's hard to walk away. Luckily for us there was no wait but I've been told there usually is and I can see why , plus the space is not that big. This cozy little spot won over a customer today. I loved that they have a bakery with freshly baked goodies that you can take to go. My husband and daughter sat right next to their book shelf and to our surprise they had toddler books that entertained my 3 year old while we waited for our meal . I ordered the log cabin latte to start , the waiter recommended it and it was delicious , also very interesting . It's a latte with a smoked espresso bacon on it, don't ask me why but it works - it gives the latte an amazing smokey flavor and it tastes great (featured in my pictures) . To eat my husband and I shared their blueberry pancakes , they were sold out of the pumpkin pancakes (guess I'll have to come back ) the pancakes were good. I also ordered the avocado toast with an over easy egg and it was great. My husband had the torta and he enjoyed it. I've got to say we enjoyed ourselves and plan to come back . I wish I had space for a pastry but I'll get that next time.

Such a cute name for an eatery leads you to an even better bite to eat or drink to sip. Love the rocking chairs outside the restaurant it looks like a front porch for a home. The service is amazing, I didn't catch the guys name at the register but he had the best smile, very friendly and was patient since I was a little unsure of what to try. I elected to try the BLT but the spin on this BLT was fries tomatoes and aioli....love the sandwich but didn't care for the bread it was a bit too thick for my liking. Added the moon milk coffee which was outstanding. There are several tables inside and a small counter where you can eat.....a huge selection of books available for you to grab off the bookshelves. Seats may be limited since this spot seems very popular. If you don't want sandwiches they offered pre boxed salads, scones, muffins, and granola type bars so clearly there is surely something to satisfy anyone's pallet. I couldn't leave without trying the Red general lemonade which is fresh lemonade and cranberry with cranberry compote poured over ice it's the ideal summer drink (or thirst quencher in general).

Such a cute little spot! I love the way they decorated for the holiday season, it instantly made me feel cozy. I went on a Wednesday afternoon arriving around 11:30, asked for a table for one person, and had to wait about 20-25 minutes. That's a long time for one person, on a weekday (granted, it was during typical "winter break" time between Christmas and New Year's. But still.) Once seated, my waitress was super fast and friendly. I was shocked to see that their breakfast sandwich was almost $16 ($15.95) and a specialty cold brew was $7. The prices are the only reason for -1 star. The sandwich was good, but not $16 good -- you need to at LEAST give fries or some other sort of side other than a small side salad for that price. The Campfire Cold Brew I got was also good, but not $7 good. All-in-all, it was a good experience, and I would go back if a friend/s ever wanted to, so I could try other menu items, but I don't think I would go back alone just to wait the same amount of time for a table anyway.

Rocking chairs out front

Great local spot with lot's of flavorful choices. I enjoyed the caprese sandwich and the OG breakfast sandwich both with their shaken espresso - delicious. Fast friendly services in a quaint setting - what more could you ask for

I wanted to love Almost Home General. I've been following them on instagram and drooling over their photos and love the lighthearted posts and their positive image they foster. Unfortunately, that positivity didn't transpire in my recent visit. We went midday on a Thursday and it was quite busy - which meant the food had to be good! Anddd it certainly did not disappoint. Everything we ordered was presented warm and tasted great! Alas, that will not be enough to go out of my way to come back. Strike #1: I called early in the morning to ask if they had high chairs. Whomever answered the phone said yes and immediately hung up. Womp... Strike #2: Our food took one hour to come out. I understand it can be busy and it happens! Buttt multiple tables around us got their food and drinks muchhh quicker (I understand that everyones orders different but it just felt off...) By the time we got our food, we had to devour it really quick as we had a baby with us who was ready to gooo. We ordered an iced Salty Captain prior to placing our food order, which we didn't get until after we finished half of our food. It seemed as if they forgot about it because we had to remind our waitress, but there was no apology or explanation. (Also, although the iced drink was good - neither of us could not taste the salt or the caramel - it was more like a regular iced latte.) Strike #3: I asked for the Monmouth Hoagie without the chicken and bacon and with veggies instead. The waitress was hesitant, trying to deter me me saying that the roasted vegetables would fall out. I requested it anyway as a messy sandwich never harmed nobody. When the sandwich came out (1 hour later), the waitress placed the dish down and said, "he did this for you this time, but won't do it again." Just an ill way to start a meal, in my opinion. I understand if the chef did not want to make substitutions, but the execution was poor. She could've a) saved that comment for after the meal. b) just not made the substitutions. c) just said it NICER. As a vegetarian who does not eat eggs, I did ask which sandwich could be made veg and she suggested a salad instead. Sorry, but not all vegetarians want a salad everywhere they go... I'm always willing to pay the price of the meat, even when it's removed and thankful whenever chefs are willing to substitute the meat for veggies and I am grateful that the substitution was made, just wish it wasn't done in a negative fashion. I had high hopes, and love this positive energy the owner promotes on the gram... just wasn't relayed in my visit as none of staff that we encountered working that day seemed to embody that same great energy.

Almost Home is quickly growing with many different stores around the Monmouth county area. This particular store is focused on coffee, breakfast and lunch. They have all kinds of coffees, baked goods, sandwiches, wraps and salads. The inside is immaculate and provides a great atmosphere with lots of attention to detail in a rustic/modern feel. The food and drink quality is the main star of the show at almost home. They put so much effort into sourcing quality ingredients when building their coffees and sandwiches. They always have different, innovative specials that will wow even the most avid foodie. The staff is all super friendly and always welcoming you and asking if you need anything. Stop by and try one of their many signature coffees and outstanding breakfast or lunch options. I strongly recommend trying either of the two sandwiches they make with steak from 'the block'.

Cappuccino

One of my favorite spots in Jersey. Whenever I come home to visit my parents, I make sure to stop here. It's always welcoming, their specials never disappoint (they had this meatball sub once that I still dream about), and their drinks are so creative and delicious (cappuccinos & their lemonades are a must). It's REAL coffee & espresso, y'all, not some bitter sludge you'd order at these chains. I tend to order their burger (if not something on their specials list), even if it's 8 in the morning; seriously so good & routinely changes. Service is friendly and efficient; Sue, in particular, always remembers me and her welcoming nature makes me feel like I'm home. I love when a place makes you feel like family. It's not uncommon to see the owner engaging with his staff and patrons, which makes me believe he truly cares about the products Almost Home is putting out. You will most likely wait for a table on the weekends. Expect that, and while you wait, grab a coffee and pastry and enjoy the company of those you're with.

My friends and I visited Almost Home for brunch on a weekday morning and was surprised to find the restaurant still relatively full. We had to wait about 10 minutes for a table to fit the three of us, and eventually, a kind member kindly gave up her table near the bookcase in the back corner. The restaurant was super cute on the inside with a cafe with assorted pastries at the front and merch along with assorted trinkets on one side. We ordered the brioche pec, hot biscuit sammy, the almost home and for drinks, the butterfly lemonade and cold brew. I personally got the almost home and I enjoyed the multiple elements included in the dish (salad, eggs, toast, bacon, potatoes). I specifically got the butterfly lemonade for the vibrant purple color and it did not disappoint. My friends all loved their dishes as well! The only difficult part of our experience was the parking situation as there is limited parking outside the restaurant. Otherwise, although the restaurant is kind of in the middle of nowhere, I would still recommend it to any brunch enthusiasts!

Pumpkin Spice Latte

One of my favorite PSL around here. Super creamy and delicious! The ambiance is busy and cozy. Everyone is working to make sure everyone is alright/taken care of. It's so homey. They're all so sweet. Gotta get that fried chx sandwich!! It was gone before i got a pic lol Pricing: $$ Overall: 5/5

Do they take reservations?

No reservations, the tiny place has only less than a dozen indoor tables. If you go don't sit near the door. Mom & I didn't think 20 bucks for bitter coffee, hard bacon and dry toast was worth the artic cold blasting from the door every time it… Read more

What is going on here. We tried to have breakfast and we were told it's take out only. This place was always packed with people what happened?

Look in their website it explains it. Something about parking/zoning from middletown. They aren't allowed to have onsite dining.

There isn't any place to sit and sip your drinks, but instead of sitting, you can take your latte for a stroll around the shop. This seems like a great place for stocking stuffers and gifts. They have lotions, soaps, candles, holiday decor pieces, ornaments. All things that everyone loves to receive and rarely buys for themselves. If you are in more of a window shopping mood, they have samples of everything. At the cafe counter (also where you can pay) you'll find a small but mighty coffee menu. I got the gingerbread latte and loved every sip. My coworker got the latte with hot honey in it and said it had just the right kick. For a place that doesn't seem to specialize in coffees, they did make two wonderful drinks for us. There was plenty of parking and it looks like they do quite a bit outside (maybe on the weekends?) with the tree lot and farm in the back.

There were plenty of spots on a Tuesday afternoon around 3pm. When you enter you go through these giant barn doors. The inside is a lot of fall decor with candles, bakeware, kitchen towels, all the cute home stuff that makes your house extra cozy for fall. They also have a little coffee area too but I had already gotten coffee earlier so I didn't order any. Although everything was super cute, it was also a bit pricey so I unfortunately only bought some lotion which was really moisturizing and smelled AMAZING. Something I really liked is that you could sample most of the lotions and sprays so although I didn't buy them, I could at least try them out. If you go through the back exit, you enter the farm portion with a little pumpkin patch, donkeys, and sheep! There were a few places for "photo ops" too. If you walk further there's actually a little garden/flower field which was really nice to walk around and take pictures. You couldn't pick any flowers at this time but maybe we could've earlier in the season in the summer. This was a cute little farm that I would come back to for another season to see how they change it up. Although some of the items were pricier I would come back to get something as a gift. I think there's a lot of nice stuff to give for a housewarming and it's good quality too.
