    Lamb Kabob Plate
    Nick C.

Almadina serves some incredibly delicious, made-to-order Mediterranean food with very generous portions. You can dine-in at their multiple tables (which are also great for large groups) or get a takeout order--business seemed like half/half the night I dropped by. The dining room was spacious and comfortable. I got their Lamb Kabob Plate, which tasted so delicious. The char and seasonings on the lamb were just right, and the kebab was so juicy and flavorful. The salad and rice were also great additions. The food came out quickly, and the staff were very nice throughout. I got some Baklava to-go too, and those desserts alone are worth the trip. They sell them in pre-packaged containers too, so you can go to the restaurant just to pickup some of them to-go!

Cucumber salad, substituted for the tossed side salad served with a combo. Worth the nominal upcharge!

Clean eating, fresh prepared, hidden gem alternative to fast food and over-filling restaurants. The attention to customers and desert and beverage selections are phenomenal. This is a fast walk from the Mayo-Gonda-Charlton building trinity. It's also near a Kahler building on Broadway. I encourage all who see this to stop in and support this business in the time of construction and road detours.

Surprised it took this long but we finally visited Almadina after passing it for the last few years. It was a pleasant visit and definitely nice to have this in Rochester. Ambiance was nice. Loved the decor and traditional music playing in the background. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Ordered: - Lamb & Beef Wrap (3.5/5). The wrap was a bit dry and meats were pretty fresh. It was smaller than others - Chicken Shawarma Plate (4/5) - Veggie Samosa (4/5). Fresh and hot. This was a good choice and a fun take on samosa / sambusa There's a few other dishes I'd like to try so this is on our list for repeat visits!

I ordered a grilled half chicken platter and side falafel. The platter comes with side salad The chicken is delicious, well marinated and very tender. The meat slides the bone easily, the salad is okay, the falafel is crispy but not too tasty. The sauce is good, spicy sauce is medium hot level The meat is Halal!!! The ambiance is simple and pleasant, The food service is fast They also have a good variety of baklava and Mediterranean desserts!!!

Walked in at 11:45 smelled very musty and of mildew and the floor and tables were dirty. No customers. Decided not to stay.

In terms of what it looks like, it could be the McDonald's of Greek food BUT the menu is filled with items made from fresh ingredients. The Calamari is lightly breaded and perfectly seasoned. We chose pita chips over pitas. For the additional side we chose hummus. The hummus was good but at the end of the huge meal, it was one of the things most leftover. The servings of each meal were incredibly generous. The Gyro was heaped with so much meat that I was so glad to have spent the $0.75 for extra tzaziki with the Gyro Platter. The Gyro comes with the option of adding a side with it for less than it would be if ordering a side separately, if you want grilled zucchini which had the BEST flavor! Also you could choose fries, rice, or a couple other options. The Gyro Platter comes with gyro meat and a second option. Then there are also 2 sides that you pick to go along with them. If you want additional gyro meat (OMG, most people won't be able to eat it in one sitting!) you can add it here for half the price of getting it just as a side I figured that we needed to try the Baklava. I got one piece for 2 people to share. Looking at the small piece, I probably would have ordered 2. But I am happy to have shared so I did not over-eat too much. After a few hours, the baklava insisted that I try it. The absolute GLORY that is GOOD baklava!!! It did not taste like sugary sweet corn syrup. It tasted like honey and nut and pastry... Everything the best baklava is!

The Lemon Chicken Soup was yummy, tart, but not a heavy base. Typical Greek salad was good. Gyro meat was good, not dry. Great value for the cost. Highly recommend!

The place has a rustic Middle Eastern vibe but it's not kept well. The table we first got had food stains on the table cloth and a dirty fur coat on the wall. We decided to move to a different table. I saw food on other tables as well. The owner spent most of the time in the back talking to someone than waiting on us. We didn't get silverware until the main course and never got water. I went to the fridge in the front after our meal was done because we were tired of waiting and thirsty. The falafel is the best thing that we had. It was fresh but a bit oil. It had a nice crunch to it and the flavor profile was good. The sauce with it was average but good. The mixed grilled platter was underwhelming. The best meat was the lamb. There wasn't much flavor in the chicken and the other meat was too dry. I think the veggies were a bit too chard for my liking. The shawarma was not that great. It seamed as if it was chicken chunks and not the properly cooked. The flavor was not great either. There's nothing given as a side or sauce. There's bottles of ketchup on the tables but they looked not too appealing to use. Instead of napkins, you get Kleenex. While the food can be good. I would recommend ordering takeout from here. As a small business I wish nothing but the best and hope the owner cleans up the place more and improves the customer service.

First he welcomed us with free middle eastern coffee called karak. Its dark black coffee with cardamom. We ordered the lamb kabob platter , hammus and pita bread. He came out with generous amount of free fried chicken for my friend and for me with freshly made baba ganoush and warm fresh pita bread! Not just that, he also gave us soda for free! Even if it wasnt for the free food, i would still rate this restaurant highest because of the delicious food and such a humble and kind owner who makes you feel at home. I go there for the delicious Middle Eastern food, which, for a buffet, is amazingly fresh and tasty. It helps, of course, that the buffet is replenished frequently. It includes a wide variety of salads, hummus, pita, soup, protein, and desserts--and it's all delicious! If you have not been to the family-owned Mediterranean Cruise, the building itself is surprisingly large and impressive. It features a 25-foot or higher ceiling, a private dining area, and even space for belly dancing presentations. While Mediterranean Cruise offers Mezas, soups, salads, rice and hummus bowls, sandwiches, and more off the menu, you must try the buffet to truly appreciate the breadth of their offerings. I have pretty high standards for Greek/Mediterranean food, and it just doesn't stand out anymore. The pita has been dry, although the hummus is still solid. The platters are fine overall, but nothing particularly memorable. Service has also been a bit underwhelming recently compared to past visits. That said, the atmosphere is still a highlight. The space feels very authentic with all the decor, and the belly dancers are always a fun touch. The patio is also nice if you're able to sit outside.
