If you see other one-star reviews for ALM Ford in Marietta on Yelp, believe them! Here's my bad experience: I visited ALM Ford--ready to buy, checkbook in hand--and was told the pre-owned SUV I came to see was sold "just this morning." (They had only been open for an hour, and I checked availability the evening before.) I was ready to walk out, but guess what, the SUV was still there! The story was the person supposedly buying it lived out of state, and they were haggling on financing so "technically", it was still available. I made an offer (based on actually seeing and driving it which I hadn't been allowed to do). I had a bottom-line number in mind, including trade, fees, and tax (all cash). The sales manager came back with his number, and we were far apart. The only thing he would wiggle on was a clear coat they supposedly added to the car for around $900, and he deducted it, a sales tactic where they act like they're giving you something when they really aren't. He also balked at my KBB trade-in value even though my trade had low mileage. They use a dealers' "black book" and offered me $900 less. By now, I was done so I went to get my keys. After reminding the salesperson I had no opportunity to test drive the vehicle, the sales manager offered to have her bring it to my house later that day for a test drive. (Why not just let me drive it while I was there? ) If everything was to my satisfaction, the sale could be done electronically. But this is where this entire scenario gets laughable: Ten minutes before she was scheduled to arrive, I got this text: Hi I'm sorry I won't be there. Someone hit me while I was driving from behind Seriously? ALM Ford is still offering this SUV on all the auto websites, including their own, with a history of no accidents or damage. No out-of-state buyer has driven off with it. This whole thing was fishy from the get-go. I don't trust ALM Ford and will NEVER car shop there again. read more

Update... this is in no reflection of the sales person Mamadi. This is about their finance manager and extended warranty coverage package that they offer. During financing, they offered me a warranty coverage that they claimed can be cancelled at anytime and would cover powertrain issues. Surprise, surprise... it doesn't and I've contacted the dealer and insurance agency. It's been a 3 month ordeal now and it's still not cancelled. Did not clarify they did not do body repair work on site. We were without a car for 4 days and if we hadn't kept calling about the car would not have known when the car was done. I made a deal to purchase a used truck from them via phone. Asked them to have all the loan and paperwork ready to go. 6 hour drive each way and needed to turn and burn. Nothing was ready but we were left to sit on our own for over an hour. Never got shown the truck, or offered a test drive. Finally do paperwork and get that done, have to find sales guy to get the keys. He hands them and we get in the truck. Drive home fone, truck smells like a vanilla bomb. 2 days later it smells like nothing but a big ashtray. They knew it, they avoided letting us notice that, and I've called, emailed, used contact forms, tried Facebook, and left messages. They will not take or return a call. The sales guy was super nice but the "numbers" guy was shady, fast talking & basically tried to make us feel dumb because we didn't understand the confusing breakdown of cost. I have a college degree in math & nothing this guy put in front of us made sense. DO NOT BUY FROM ALM FORD OF MARIETTA - POSSIBLE LEGAL VIOLATIONS I purchased a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee from ALM Ford of Marietta over four months ago, and they have completely failed to provide my title, registration, or permanent tag. My temporary tag expired in December, leaving me with a car that I cannot legally drive--all because this dealership has refused to fulfill its most basic legal obligation. This is not just poor customer service. This is potentially illegal. Under Georgia law (O.C.G.A. § 40-3-32), a dealer must file the vehicle title within 30 days of sale. ALM Ford of Marietta has completely failed to do this, violating my rights as a consumer and state law. Their failure to deliver on services I have already paid for--including title, tax, and registration fees--could also violate the Georgia Fair Business Practices Act (O.C.G.A. § 10-1-390). I purchased a 2022 Tahoe from Marietta ALM in May. They gave me documentation stating, "All of our certified pre-owned vehicles go through a rigorous inspection process before we put them on the lot to ensure they meet our standards for value and quality." I drove the vehicle for about 4 week and the change oil warning came on. Two days after that, the check engine filer warning came on. BUYER PLEASE BEWARE. Well...I wasn't going to do this, but I feel an overwhelming obligation to ALERT the public. I'm an inspirational author and I write about treating people with respect. THAT didn't happen at ALM. My husband had waited many years to get a new (used 2022) truck, and unfortunately we chose ALM Marietta. After an attempt to charge us $2K for a "Motor Trend Certified Inspection" (I got it somewhat reduced), we trusted that this inspection would HAVE ACTUALLY OCCURRED. (Yes, we shouldn't have relied on the "certified" inspection we paid for, but we trusted...) Then, when we got the purchased vehicle home, we found SEVERE RUST underneath, as well as other MAJOR signs of corrosion. When we brought it back after one day (relying on what we thought was a 5-day "return" policy), we were told that it is actually an exchange policy and that this vehicle is OURS now, and they wouldn't take it back unless we bought a different truck from them. They viewed the rust and admitted 100% that there was a discrepancy on the "inspection." They worked with us on a different deal (boldly attempting to charge for the same non-existent Ford inspection). After we signed the "deal," the finance manager reached out to shake my hand. Out of courtesy, I shook it while explaining that we were NOT satisfied customers and I felt that we had been defrauded. He AGREED that the inspection was not correct and he would be "speaking to them" about it. My husband had already filled the gas tank on the rusted vehicle we returned ($70) and we handed them the receipt. They didn't refund it and have refused to return my calls about it. Trust me, it's not the $70 here...it's the principle! I even waited to see if they were going to respond before posting this review...they did not. This will be the most expensive $70 ALM has ever ignored because again, it's the principle! DIShonest, DISgusting, DISappointing, DISastrous, DISrespectful employees who DISappear after the sale. I'm only sorry I had to give this one star to post it; they don't even deserve that. PS The man who helped us with the 2nd truck purchase actually asked my husband to take a photo of him with the truck, and then asked for my husband's phone to send that photo to himself. The worst place to buy or have your car serviced. The service team will lie and lose paperwork. I had to prove to them twice that I had tire warranty. I brought my SUV in on nov 9 23 to have brakes done. Two oil changes later said my brakes were great, one as recent as April. July of 24 they started grinding. They were never changed. Cost me 800 to have them repaired. When I took it in nov 23 I had a maintenance contract so it would have been covered. Garage place. I have more stories but that one is enough for now. read more

I purchased a used 2024 Mach E the other day. The sales representative was understanding and straightforward. I cannot say the same of his leadership. After a series of unfortunate events; long wait times, incorrect and inconsistent information, shady negotiations and unethical practices I am forced to turn my excitement into distain. The next day I discovered that I was presented with a quoted price and odometer reading that did not match what the vehicle currently had and what I was being charged for the vehicle. After realizing my role in the mistake, I admitted that I too was at fault. I expected the manager Terry Wadsworth to show some empathy and good will to our mutual oversight. He not only missed the price mark, but he missed the point! The point is I bought a car from ALM and I am unhappy with my service. I was not interested in getting over just being appreciated. I declined his diminished offer but counter with this: Do not buy from here. They are only interested in the sale and not the person.
