Ally has been a game changer for my nearly 6-month-old puppy. I initially contacted her for help with loose-leash training in short training breaks. After the first session I noticed progress with his leash skills and with all subsequent sessions he's continued to improve. For a Boston Terrier (known for being hard pullers) to be relaxed and by my side at his age is really impressive. More recently we switched from hourly training breaks to her field trips. These are organized so that she picks up and drops off my pup from my house and spends the day with him and 3-5 other dogs teaching loose-leash, recall, settle, socialization in novel environments, and myriad other skills, all while tiring him out with tons of playtime. When he comes home he naps *hard* for a couple hours. There are so many trainers in town and it was hard to know who had the experience and approach to best fit my puppy, but her fear free, choice based training method has been the perfect fit. She takes time to post updates of their activity to Instagram which is a fun way to follow along periodically throughout the day and to cap it off she's easy to communicate with, always replies to messages quickly, accommodates my crazy schedule, and is an all around fun and energetic person. My bulldog mix, Guff, has been going on daily pack adventures with Ally for the last 6 months now, and both he and I are totally thrilled with the experience. He gets lots of exercise and socialization, and I get to know he's being active and having fun while I'm at work. I even get to watch along on Instagram, which is a bonus! I love seeing Guff play with the other dogs in his pack, and all the pet parents commenting on our pups' Chasing Tail outings feel like an extended community. This Christmas, Guff also boarded with Ally for a week while I was traveling home to the East Coast. As a bulldog, Guff can be high-maintenance. He likes a lot of attention and also needs meds for his eyes, dietary supplements, and extra grooming for his face folds. Ally took really great care of him, and he enjoyed all the extra activity he got with the other dogs. On top of it all, Chasing Tail's rates are extremely reasonable--especially for the level of service Ally provides. A lot of other dog care services in the area charge similarly or higher for a short walk or "daycare" that requires you to drop off/pick up your dog, who doesn't even get to go outside! Ally picks Guff up, drops him off, and has even changed her route on hot days so Guff (and his bulldog breathing issues) doesn't have to spend more time in the heat than absolutely necessary. Ally is an all around amazing trainer. Since in-person training classes had halted due to covid- I was at a loss for getting needed socialization and training and thought a personal trainer would be way out of the budget. Not only has Ally exceeded my expectations and has been more than affordable, I have found her training to be more beneficial that the puppy classes that we had previously attended. While we started out with both group training/socialization and one-on-one training, I also signed up for her Raising a Rockstar Puppy Virtual Guide. I initially thought the virtual training guide wouldn't apply to my 10 month old pup- but I was so wrong. There is so much good information from preparing for your pup, teaching position changes, loose leash walking and so much more- Ally's lessons are short and to the point while also explaining the reasoning for her approaches (not to mention seeing her train her own pup first hand is so beneficial). I love that we can work on lessons in any order or go back and re-watch and hit "complete" when we are ready to move on. I really wish I had this guide before I got my pup, we have been working hard through this guide and she has been available for guidance along with any questions we have regarding any of the lessons. She truly understands the thinking and behavior of pups and her methods are there to ensure the success of your pup. Just like a doctor sometimes needs to see a specialist himself, I needed a separation anxiety expert when my senior dog started experiencing intense SA.  Despite being a professional dog trainer myself for the last decade, I knew I needed someone to walk me through the ONLY real fix for SA. Ally did a terrific job taking care of my kitty (Mango) this past weekend as my boyfriend and I were out of town getting some much needed R&R. My cat has been called "fiesty" by many (and usually hisses at people when she first meets them).
